Nice to see a NEW bike fitted with the classic round Tacho/Speedo clocks. This is genuinely one of the better bikes that BMW make. Probably the only one I would ever consider, should I one day happen to have a mental breakdown and order a Beemer...., God forbid !!
Hiya Kate I absolutely love your blogs keep up the good work seen you at the ABR was going to say hi but I when I turned round you was gone maybe see you on the road sometime x
I love the British racing green/silver color scheme, the shape of the tank, the shaft drive and the overall appearance but I live in south Florida and air-cooled boxers are not my thing. I wish more, sportier bikes would come with a shaft drive. Really enjoy the views from England and the Continent, south Florida sucks for scenery and twist-ies.
One of these, or the standard "R" (or even the RS if you want some weather protection) would be much better for you than your GS. If I was 5ft 4 there is no way I would want to struggle with anything that tall. Watching this from Ponderosa where it is currently bloody freezing.
Lovely bike. I almost bought one of the old R Nine-T, and this one looks even better. Slight niggle with this and some of your other videos, Kate - The audio isn't great. A lot of wind noise and crackling. Had to turn it off after a while. Ask Chopsy what his mic setup is - as his is one of the best imo.
Nice bike and I'm a sucker for traditional twin clock setups. That is till you mentioned the price then I'm not so interested, if you think Triumphs are expensive then compared to BMW perhaps their good value after all.
Point well noted regarding the R12 Nine T maybe being the preferred choice over the R12 for a normal size/weight bloke? Perhaps this is why BMW Motorad's own promo videos showed mostly lightly built lady riders aboard the R12 models?
I have that bike for a little over a month and its been a blast! The fuel gauge issue was a bit daunting at first but now i just set the trip to zero each time i put gas and its all good. With full tank (16 liters) you get 240/ish km until the fuel warning goes off. I don't have a clue how many more km you can ride until you completely run out of gas but BMW claims 313 km all together. The other issue i found is that the handlebars are a bit too far so i get hand numbness after an hour riding. This can be fixed with some risers but because its a new model, nobody is selling those yet. The last complaint i have is that the seat can't be removed unless you unscrew the thing which is a bummer (unless there is a secret button i don't know about lol). Other than that, this bike is incredibly nimble, comfortable to sit on, good lean angle and it can go from gentle to a hooligan real quick 🤓
Bike looks nice Kate , reference slippy pegs , I’ve never liked all metal ones ( long distances the vibrations go right through your instep) so at the first opportunity I’ve always changed to rubber ones , Something different Kate how are getting on with your Knox kit , I love there gloves and soon will need to replace my jacket and trousers, ps I already have there security shirt 😊😊👍🏉
Morning Kate. I think that BMW is the best looking bike I've ever seen but only from the back of the tank forward. The back end looks like a group of crackheads have been left to their own devices 😬😉😂
What’s the situation with oil use with the R12. I’ve spoken to a number of bikers who used to own the R9T and they all said you have to watch the oil as it used quite a bit. Is this the same with the R12. Or has consumption not rears its ugly head due to it being a newish engine. Mark
Nice follow up review Kate, I defo get the confusion for you but I think looks are important especially the more you pay and the R12 is a bit ugly in my opinion in comparison to its family member and especially next to its rival, the Triumph bobber, although looks can be subjective to some degree. Ps nice bit of bike pimp rappin 😂!
a jacket right to the color-shema 👍 ...this ia a reason why we need more fashioned girl's on motorbikes ... i wait till backy evans ride her ducati v2 again AND what happend to your friend with the bursted one-pice dainese suit out of the "winter track day at cadwell park" ? ...warrenty
It would be nice if folks like you who are reviewing bikes, at least partly for a living, would also mention while you are riding the speeds you are riding at.
@@UsernameKateWe see RUclipsrs riding the bikes and talking about handling while going through twisties and along straight aways. But we cannot always see your speedometers. While you are riding and taking curves if you could mention that you are taking these curves at X mph or X kph it would help potential buyers better understand bike stability, agility, etc. As example you might mention, I am taking this curve at 80 kph (50 mph) and the bike feels well planted.
Geez Girl.......those roads are horrible! Next break-away you can manage come to Cape Town & ride here. You will honestly believe you died & gone to heaven.

Absolutely looooove the Busta shout out 😂😂. Dope bike also, great job as usual
Happy Sunday, Kate, have a good one! 09:44 - Haha!!! You actually did bust a rhyme 😂
I love this bike.
Kate is going from strength to strength. Bravo Bravo!
That’s one of my favourite bikes , it’s a looker😊👍🏍️
Now I really do like that bike, but sadly out of my price range…. Great ride Kate thank you.
Hey Kate it’s not fair you ride a lovely bike in my country and I in yours at home because it’s raining ☔️ 😂. Keep doing your great job 👏
I love the look of it and that colour really suits it.
Hope you had a great ABR!

Yo creo que dan más calor algunas motos refigeradas por líquido ya que cuando se enciende el electro ventilador en cuidad es insoportable .

And you wore a Knox green jacket to match the bike color. Cool.
This is the Knox 3 in 1 dual pro jacket with Knox urbane pro mark 3 body armour under it 😊 I did try to matchy matchy haha

Hi Kate. I was just wondering if you have already ridden the Yamaha XSR 900 GP.

Qué tal es por cuidad ? Desprende mucho calor?
Hi Kate! R12 Nine T or GSX-S1000? Which one for you?!

Hi kate, we're you in Spain 🇪🇸 or Portugal 🇵🇹 😅. Good video as usual. Take care, Best wishes Roy 😊.
How does it compare to the R1250 R...... want to add a naked BMW and torn between those two. Testing this weekend! ;-)

My mind is officially blown 💥 🌬️ 🔥. How in this age, on this 🌎 can a manufacturer build a bike with NO FUEL GAUGE?

if there was only a couple K difference then I could see the choice, but the price gap is too large imo.

It's a great looking naked.😊
Getting used to your accent I initially thought you were calling someone "arseholes" but now a few minutess in I realize you are saying "R12s". 😆
❤
👍👍

Hey Stephen, what do you mean sorry?

Love to go for a ride with you Kate 😊

Nice nails.
Clunky dry clutch, no fuel gauge, bespoke hubris, nasty price. And yet, I can’t turn away . . .
If you want to help sell this bike in America, you are going to have to pronouce “aluminum” correctly. 😅
