      Don’t shame the dealership for not selling to Jocelin, but rather the legal system that would allow her to sue them if if any harm came to her because they sold such a large bike to someone her size.

    • @cjdooley2
      @cjdooley2 6 месяцев назад

      @@michaelp9759 I would say that was on the dealership and not about liability. If they genuinely laughed without letting her make the case as to her riding experience then it was presumptive and discriminatory. Obviously without knowing the actual details it can’t really be said, but if it’s true then she likely has more of a civil case than they would if she were hurt riding.

    Some of your videos have made me cry, and this one was no exception. I lost my 21-year old son in 2018 when he lost his battle with depression. Learning to ride a motorcycle in 2020 at age 55 literally saved my life after my son passed. I have had to overcome so much fear and put in so much work this last year and a half to go from riding a little Honda 250 to a behemoth bagger. You have inspired me from the beginning because of videos like these. You humbly show your willingness to push past fear, to keep getting up when knocked down and to never give up...this has helped me so much and inspires me more than you could ever know! Thank you, Carolyn, from the bottom of my ♥️

    Ms. Doodle, I've been a Honda Goldwing rider for over 10 years, and that was my 13th bike since 1972. On June 27, 2024, I suffered a major stroke the emergency room said,, "I had no stroke." of course, it left me blind in my left eye, so I had to sell my 1985 Goldwing to one of my clients (who actually did it to help me as I had helped his family for many years) and I have not been able to work or drive anymore, I depend on my wife now. I've practically eliminated all my bike video subscriptions except yours and your teacher in Florida. So these videos are really great and allow me to adjust to my new situations. Thanks for the excellent videos. Julian from San Francisco, CA.

I signed up this week for the two-day off road adventure course at the BMW MotoRad school in South Carolina. I will use their bike, and asked for the R1250GS regular chassis. This will FORCE me to use skills that I need to have.

    Thanks for the video, funny and informative.
    When I first started riding my Honda Transalp 650, I had much fun training/ playing off-road. Like doing brake exercises at a sandy construction road, a gravel road, and off-road on grass, both wet and dry.
    Starting out at a low speed with (full) brake force, and increasing the speed, and experiencing the effects on the bike of various braking forces front and back. One of my favorite exercises was to control the bike with one or both brakes locked up, and letting the rear of the bike 'sliding out' a little.
    All those hours training and playing, off-road has kept me safe and in control, throughout the years on the road.

Thank you for this video, once again I throughly enjoyed it, definitely want to see more!

    wonderful. I'm 1.9 metres tall and ride a GS because I can't really ride small motorbikes. But I love it when I see small women riding a big GS. It just looks fantastic. Also, I like your attitude of not listening to the negative recommendations of others. Super! A big compliment. If you ever ride through Germany, get in touch.

    Best video ever to boost trust and self confidence...in your(my)self..........about big bikes. I'm a new rider and my very first choice for a bike was a trial one. And abviously, I had to realise that this was not going to be as easy as with the roadster version of my motocycle school. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

    Doodle this is amazing and inspiring 😭 I just got a Vstrom 650 that's a little too tall for me and already dropped it at a standstill. Little bad habits that I get away with on my supersport are becoming obvious. I love the bike and am determined to get confident on it. So good to see other women doing the same and achieving that goal, helping me see what is possible!!! Thank you!

    Loved this, what a cool lady. I'm 5' 5" with a 29" inseam and have never been able to flat foot anything. Seeing her schooch from side to side with one foot down is all I've ever known. One thing about the GSA, once you are rolling at any speed the weight disappears as was demonstrated in this video. I've dropped mine in the forest plenty of times and having those wide crash bars down low really put the bike at an angle that is much easier to lift than most other adventure machines. Thanks for posting.

    Thanks for all your videos Doodle (coincidentally my partner's nickname). I am just under 5'2 , 115lbs and can totally relate to the challenges you talk about. My current fleet (Harley Heritage, Triumph Speed Triple, & two Suzuki DR650s) all require slightly different riding techniques, but as you say "keep a positive attitude and have fun". I've been riding for almost 50 years, raced pretty much everything from 250GP to superbikes and even sidecars, but now finding more fun than ever riding my trusty old DR on dirt roads & trails (plenty of them here in Australia). Still learning stuff from your vids. Thanks heaps.

    This was awesome. Really loved the inspiration of the story. These are big bikes. Even for a 6' tall person. When I first got mine a few weeks ago it got away from me . Embarrassing but real and reminded me how key it is to know and understand your bike. No matter how long you have ridden.
