Love that you found a swivel stool. I’d use that over the folding chair so you can raise yourself up for a more comfortable seat at the sewing table. Thanks for sharing this great sewing nook.

I really hope your daughter uses this area as a springboard to launch her sewing journey. That would be cool.

Drop the ironing board to the same level as the tables. Can then just swivel around and not have to stand up. Also, gives you extra table space when not ironing

This is such a great idea; it is really good to show that a small space can work. On a side note, do you have any suggestions on storing printed pattens?

In the studio, they're hung on hangers with binding clips. For my own A0s, I had them rolled in old shipping boxes. For printed patterns, I put in 9x12" envelopes. Zip locks would also work! Just gotta find what works for you. 😊 ~J

It doesn’t really take a whole lot of space for personal sewing. I’m in a small bedroom but there is some large pieces of furniture that take up quite a bit of space. Your cutting table is much like mine. I just made a change this last couple of days. I got a hamper on wheels and I put my other things under my table in a bin on wheels. Now I can roll things out from under table and turn my table around so it’s easier to cut my patterns and fabric. I can also have a larger space for ironing. Easier to clean also. I do insist on a chair with wheels and raise up & down. When we go to Florida I have a desk to put my sewing machine on and 3 baskets for my supplies on a bed & a rolling chair.

Definitely don't need a ton of space (though it can be nice to spread out, too!) Sounds like you've figured out what works well for ya! Awesome! 😊 ~J
