A Robin build a nest in our porch lamp every year and usually lays around four eggs. But this time, a baby bird go stock as it was trying to leave the nest.
@@ChucksAstrophotography oh no. Well. I got an idea. This idea would be to try to take photos unless you take your frames with a phone (there are apps that can do intervalometer such as deep sky camera) instead of your camera and try to get the best result possible
It’s good you helped but your chasing that chick to far away from the nest. You shoulda corralled it back towards the house or bushes not out into the open.
Or could could branch out and be the the replacement for Marlin Perkins - Wild Kingdom hasn't been the same since he left 40 years ago. We have nest in our garage next to the door into the house waiting for the hatchlings. Last year they built the nest in my tool belt. - Cheers
I'm the only one in the house that likes the birds there, lol. I put tape over the light-switch so that nobody accidently turns the porch light on while the birds are there.
Like the vid. Reminds me when I was planning on setting up a pier that required I remove a bush. Abandoned the idea when I found multiple active nests in the bush.
Right. Hate to ruin the birds' home. When our porch lamp busted last year, I made sure to buy the same kind that would have space on top for a nest. I knew they would be back.
Oh Momma was MIFFED OFF lol... great job she should be just fine now. Had the same situation last week on my garage lights.. little guy got tangled on the christmas lights.. LUCKILY I was right there when they were flying the coop..
Wow, you had the same issue. That's the first time I saw one get stuck like that. And I was saying before that the nest this year didn't seem to be constructed as well as years before.
@@ChucksAstrophotography almost the SAME situation here too .. seemed like the nest was flimsy and lots of Dog fur in it and less solid Branches .. It was the Dog fur that got stuck on her leg and then wrapped around the light strand.. Course now the wife wants me to take the lights down haha
Ah Chuck nice work. You know they'll be back to nest there again. They feel safe. Keep your rigs covered lol.
The porch has so much crap on it, lol.
Sometimes nature needs a helping hand! Thanks for caring!
Great job Chuck 👍 that made a nice change of pace! Made my day!
This video is cute! It is also something I like to see something completely unexpected and being not about the topic of the channel.
The funny thing is, I'm out of Astro ideas for a new video, so this video came along at the right time, lol.

Great job Chuck!
Thanks Dylan! Glad I saw it in time.
Very cool of you to offer protection! Is it normal for only a fraction of the babys to survive?

The right thing to do is always right
Good point.
Aww thank god you were there to help him. Thank you!
That's the first time I've ever seen one get stuck. I'm not sure how long it was hanging.
@@ChucksAstrophotography It can't be that long but still you were at the right place at the right time :)
Isn't it nice when we get to lend a helping hand to God's creatures? Glad you were able to help it 😊
Yes, that was my good dead for the day. Time for a nap.
Nice dude I appreciate you bro
this is season
Every April

Good point, but I spy on the babies every year and they always go off into the open. So this is nothing new.
this is what im witnessing now, although the bird is 25+ feet in the air... nothing i can do 😞
i had to remove my porch light last year because a bird started building a nest on it. also in SE Michigan.
You removed a porch light because of that? I enjoy having a nest on the porch - but it does get messy.
The Birdman of Detroit.
lol
Good job Chuck :D
Thanks
lukomatico!
For a caveman, that opportunity is called a snack.
lol, we've come a long way.

Poor bird, glad you saved it
Yeah, poor bird, but he looked ok afterward.
and now a brief intermission from our usual broadcasting
lol
why did you hang your phonenumber on your house?
lol, I wouldn't dial that. Cool name considering the video.
Very kind of you to let them use your porch for their nest.
