I know a guy in a LDR. He "proposed" to her at month 10. Fast forward 4 months, no one still has not moved. She is still on cloud 9 but he still reaching out to his ex. Tony right...it's real to the woman but a win/win for the man cause he still doing what he want in his city.
I'm pretty sure what Tony was getting at by saying that long distance relationships are not real is that they are most likely not genuine. Even more so than in person. It's difficult enough to come across a genuine connection where neither individual deceives the other in person, let alone in long distance relationships. So unless you want your chances of success in love to be even slimmer than they already are in today's world, it is advised against by him if it can be avoided; in which typically it can be. But a lot of people still want to be in one/ not break up the one they're in, so he went ahead & addressed it the best & most honest way he could.

Heck in-state relationships can be worst than LDR - if it’s God’s way - then it will work, however within 6-12 months someone is making plans to make the move - also it depends on your age
Sadly, most people lack the emotional maturity to navigate any relationship, let alone a LDR. If you have attachment disorder, unresolved trauma, struggle with commitment, or lukewarm faith, you shouldn't even attempt one. Every LDR that manifested greatness, was established on intentional effort. Stop spending so much time on people and spend more time in the spirit.

I’m interested in a man who lives in Maine and I live in Massachusetts. I met him at church in person, we never met online or anything. I’ve met him a handful of times and have been out with him one time. We went to the same church for a bit and it’s possible to still see each other if he drives around 5 hours or so. I’ve met his mom already cause I’ve been to their church and a saw her at a few church events and she loves me. The man I’m interested in does go on mission trips and has responsibilities at the Bible college he goes to so it’s not possible for him to see me once a week (he teaches the youth there). He does call once a day though and we talk for at least an hour if we can. He’s a Christian and seems like a really genuine kind guy. The only thing that throws me off is that he’s 19 and I’m 22. But I feel like since he’s so mature and a follower of Christ it makes up for it. He’s made it clear he likes me and wants to pursue me. I’d love to hear someone’s opinion!!

Truth be told it will either make the heart grow fonder and someone is going to close that gap by moving and making a union of the relationship. Leaving with another human is already so much..I can't do not even 3hrs away. You have to do tripple the amount out stuff you do on a daily basis when in a LDR. We’re not married yet( I know). He says he’s being faithful and I’ve been faithful as well. We’re both in our 50’s. I’ve seen him 2 times in 2 years in person. We did have COVID going on so that was why we didn’t travel. I saw him in Dec of 2021 when he came to California, and then I went to him in Texas back in February. He was supposed to come in April, then in June and now he says he’s coming in October. I am a Christian woman and very loyal and beautiful inside and out. Here's a crazy story for number 4. There was an episode on Catfish where the catfish (a girl), was in a long distance relationship with her victim ( a normal guy) , and she was getting money from the guy, with false promises that they will meet in person and be together. She used pictures and videos directly from an IG model's social media pages. She would also ask the guy to give her inappropriate pictures for entertainment. but to keep her game going, she teamed up with an attractive guy in real life, and asked him to seduce the IG model to send him n*des with her face, which she did. Then after getting the photos, the attractive guy sends those pics , to the catfish, then the catfish would send them to her victim(s) for money and to keep her mask going. The catfish said all this on national TV like it was nothing and with no remorse for what she did. PLEASE PLEASE be careful
