Thank you sir for this. Have been in a long distance relationship/ marriage for the last 6 years now although we make sure to spend time with each other physically yearly and by the grace of God this year will be the end to this distance. It hasnt been easy but our communication is very strong and we always pray together and for each other. Cant wait to finally be with the love of my life

I dont actually agree that it doesn't last when both partners come together, it depends on the individual. If you are creative at distance then you can do great when you both are together. Infact it has been proven that sometimes people need short space to rekindle their love because those who stay continually get bored a times with each other.
@@radhiyamwaugali7175 honestly I would say that it is Our faith in God that is still keeping us strong. We don’t play with spending quality time together virtually . We talk on video at least 1 hour everyday and continue to text or voice call throughout the day, our policy is apart from God we are first in each other’s life before anyone or anything else’s ,We know each other routine .Another thing we do is no matter what we always try and spend time together physically every year and when we spend time together we try to just make up for lost time. Yes plane ticket is expensive because we live in two different countries but losing each other is more expensive. And do not underestimate the power of talking about your spouse, if you are in a long distance relationship and nobody knows then there is a problem.
Finally we pray every other day, we share what we are going through and pray for each other and for our relationship.
I feel like this video is for me. I belong to the third category. Doing my PhD in medical school in United States and my fiancee is in Nigeria. He has my time zone and there's two things I do; School and communicating with him. He loves talking and we spend two hours of his sleeping time talking and video calling. He's joining me by the end of the year for us to wed here and we've been together for four years. LDR comes effortlessly for me probably because we discuss everything and most esp we've been celibate all our lives. He enjoys reading my homework & presentation even when he has no idea of pediatric infectious diseases and we pray together sometimes. Honestly, it takes intentionality to keep LDR

LDR becomes fun when you really understand your partner. I had lots of issue but i found a better way to communicate my feelings. Through couple questions games, where you add your preferences, next your partner has to guess. Lovify being my personal favorite, we got to know a lot about each other :)

Long distance relationships are not difficult to handle, you just need to
1= communicate through phone calls, whatsapp and video calls
2= You just need to be transparent and for any appointment you cannot meet, inform the person as earlier as possible for whatever reason. This is not too much.

Thank you so much for this PK. This is encouraging for me who has been in my current long distance relationship (LDR) for 8 months now after my last failed LDR in 2020.
My ex went off to marry a colleague at her office after I had introduced her to my parents...loool.
Not like I was a bad boyfriend, she always kept saying I wasn't the one at fault...😂😂. And funny thing is she used to attend DCC when we were together. I don't know if she still does since she's married now.
However, everything you have said is what we've been implementing in my present relationship and it's working really well. It's been quite difficult, but thank God for such an understanding woman He has given me.
We even share activities including our devotions in the morning. I also make sure that every morning, I send her a note of prayer or a love note. That's how it has been for the last 8 months.
Nevertheless, I'm already finalising plans to move to her location before I hear another story that touch...lol. It's not been easy but we have survived thus far. Glory to God.

LDR is challenging but worth it with teh right person. Was in unplanned LDR situation for almost 2 years cause of pandemic. I’m grateful that I’m finally with him now and married a little over a month ago 🥰

Being in a long distance relationship without plans to quickly bring the relationship in the real world is very dangerous for the head and the heart.
Because, when it comes to LDR, face-to-face is better than Facebook
Sir, i agree with you, LDR isnt easy, i remember texting you over the challenges i was facing in the first few months, 2 years down and i was out. Yes we had a firm foundation, 5 years in a relationship and he relocated out of the country, 2 years in LDR and we were totally two different people, not to discourage anyone but LDR is not for boys for true, its for Men, you can do it at your own risk.
And it's not for girls it's for women.
Great to watch...... handling a long distance relationship at the moment too.......not so Rosy to have him out of sight though...lol.....but we have both been doing well with communication......most times, we stay together on video call when he is to cook, from start to finish, talk about Sunday service experience, he handles some online stuffs for me.....he has access to my mail..........and yeah, LDR is expensive.....lol....data must be available.....I pray to join him soon and just tie this knot......lol....I love man......thanks for sharing sir

5 years, way too long even in a face to face relationship of 3-4 years; a waste of time. Minimum 2 yrs. Most know within first 6-9 months. Reason they already been through the learning process and have made a decision, and now ready and mature.
Communication is the key for all relationships.
I'm blessed with this, as a sailor being away from your partner is something you have to work on due to life at sea but with this video and God I'm sure we will make it if we for sure agree to work on it and be disciplined. Thanks 🙏

In a long distance by mistake,.followed a job opportunity that some how regret. But this message has encouraged me to keep praying that the distance comes to an end.

My woman is a designer sometimes I followed her to church to market to shop even eat together etc. I have not mate her physically but the truth is that I love what is happening around me and I have learn to be open transparent and trust worthy to her. I live with friends and following the information about praying together is what I need to find a way to it because it lacking since we don't do it together. I am in the third category and it’s hella hard cos we were close initially before the long distance had to happen. In addition to chatting everyday, we call each other spontaneously. I also take pics and send to him whenever I am out and about so I can provide as much transparency as possible. We see each other once or twice a month cos we stay in different states. I am 3 hours away by flight but the plane tickets ain’t cheap 🤣. However, we have resolved that we are important to each other so we gotta put in the work! Anyways, I am low key looking for a job in his state of residence cos I need this distance removed.

I just finished listening to the video of those young couples. Although we have been married for 8years now. I was still blessed by the testimony. We were on a long distance to but ours was the third one. I started dating before I left Nigeria to UK, although ours went for 5years, but in that 5years we kept the communication going. I use to call her twice a day everyday for those years. Also I would go to Nigeria every other year to see her. For me COMMUNICATION is one of the biggest key to a successful long distance relationship but I will not advised even my worst enemy to go into it except if necessary. So thank you for sharing. Infact P.K ...you are God sent. I have been on a crossed road on this matter for sometime now. I have been married for almost 13yrs now and I have never stayed apart from my hubby but the immigration wind has been blowing and my hubby is so interested in it..I am so scared because my love language is more of act of service and quality time...not sure i will do well in a foreign land.

We were physically together in 2020 and in 2021 when he was about to come to 🇬🇭 Ghana (hes Nigerian)and see me he was quarantined for almost one month😢. Long distance relationship is hard! Love languages are hard to speak from a distance sincerely. Bottom line is marriage is not ideally supposed to be from a distance,however we want to look at it.

I Wont lie, I love long distant relationships. I was in one, though it ended badly cause I realised I was with someone who cannot do LDR, I would actually not mind doing LDR again but this time with someone that actually knows what it entails, is willing and also DOES THE WORK NEEDED. But I can only do LDR for dating, its not my desire when Im married.

I said I love LDR cause I’ve been in one before and I know I can handle it if I’m equally with someone willing to put in the work but the only stage I can do LDR for a long period is in dating. I can’t or don’t desire to be married and based in a country while my spouse is based somewhere else. They can go a period away but have to come back to their base which is my house. When dating obviously we aren’t in the same location. So I can do periods of LDR in the marriage but not the marriage being majorly LDR
