Valerie has a Wonderful voice🎵🎤🎹🎸🎅👍👏👏👏
I’ve always loved clav sounds, but gosh!!
Saw Lonnie back in the day with pharaoh.
You have excellent taste ❤
An all time favorite. The world needs this! Thank you Matt for making my day
Not only do I love the performance - but I love that green suit!
Ya ever danced with the devil!? 😆
valerie rules! aside from jamiroquai and galliano, I love her work on 'mwela, mwela' by jazzanova. what a voice, and what a beauty. everyone else on stage ain't so bad either =)
She worked with jazzanova? Wow, I didn't know that !
Amazing. There’s nothing else I can say. 😵
Wow ! That's 💯 Fantastic 🤗👍🔊🎵🎶🎶🎹 Warmest Greetings from Germany to UK & Merry Christmas ! 🎅❄️🕯️🕯️🕯️❄️
Wow!! Just WOW!! ❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thrilling!
Drive, joyful. Inspirational!
Bad ass
Keeping the funk alive!!

Looking fresh in that Grinch Green suit!
Just in time for xmas haha!
Superb! Amazing! Good Vibes from 🇧🇷✌️😉
Bass is all over the place...
Cool suit Matt. Didn’t know you rocked the Waldorf. My favorite Synth!
Great synth!
You made some interesting and varied choices in the solo....love that about your playing.
Still waiting for your tour of the states - maybe 2024! 🍾🍾🍾🍾
This rendition is an improvement on the classic original by lonnie liston smith! Absolutely amazing!
Hey Matt!! What a end of gig memory here for us😍🙏 (Birthday bash 😝🎂🍹🎈) - I'm the one in the black jacket right opposite Derrick's drum kit, with bleeding ears from his fantastic drumming all night!!!😖. Looking forward to your next gig that we can get across too 😎🙌🎹🔥...........
Gotta say, I just love coming back to this..
It has great all round energy. A great example of how and when to cut, stop playing, let the groove breathe. When you fire up again. Great movement to it.
Any track that makes you move, and then change direction, you know it's got good mechanics 👍🏻👍🏻
Really enjoy the tines and chimes in the keys as well, you can hear them clean as a bell.
I’m here for this. Favourite track, you did it justice. No triangle though, I can only award 9.99/10.
haha gutted
That was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!
Heck of a sweet solo Matt. Funky ass playing as always!
crackin' version...the bass player is in the groove!
Such happy memories! Send my best to Derrick….. LOVE that Rhodes 😍
Cheers great tune. Love this tune. LLSmith. awesome.
Awesome !!! 👌🎹🎸❤❤❤
Delicious and delightful. All parts are excellent.
My favourite jungle/DnB track!
Well I know it's not actually jungle/DnB, however I'm big into that, and then I came across this song from the 70's, and it was "Lonnie Liston-Smith is the Grandfather of Jungle and Drum and Bass!"
The man in the arena. Tight. Incredible ensemble. Cheryl Lynn would love her vocals.
Great rendition, love LLS
Awesome solo 🔥🔥👍
Great sounding band, and that Rhodes sound is killing it. So many great memories from the Jazz Cafe when I was living in London.
Vintage Vibe piano
Me encanta está canción 😍
Great! Thank you for the nice music! And Valerie has such a nice voice... I always have liked her a lot. Great combination!
Mooooooore ! We need mooooooooore ! ❤ Many thanks for all your sharing. Peace from Paris :-)

CLASSICCCCC, Gotta love this banger.
Yes!
Beautiful singing and you sound so incredible on that piano
Tank you Matt.
The synth-nerd treats from the studio just ain't enough, eh? ;) Glorious, Matt!
Great sound, thanks!, 🙏
That was brilliant, guys. Don’t think I’ve heard that track before, but you’ve sold me on it now. Love that you and Derrick are doing these shows, Matt. Keep up the excellent work!
YES!!! Matt I sold you the nord lead 2 box a few years ago! Hope you’re well. This is one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE TUNES!!!!
Ah nice one! I sold it too!!
Amazing ❤
Cool !
Kakkoii desu👍
There are colourful Christmas colours on the stage 😊

Great, Matt!
Great song and great gig man! I really need to start playing gigs! ❤🎉😂😊 Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your family!🎄🎄🍾🎁
G.O.A.T.❤
Matt, you truly have an amazing groove. How you manage to find so many little spaces between the beats, that really does it for me. Congrats, great show! Happy Holidays to you!
Thanks!
Whooohooo!
I've an original 12" of this! Great version!!
“ nice cover Miss the triangle, the flute the vocals are smooth Miss the conga drums and bongos but still kind of nice
Hi Matt ! Yessss we were there!! In the front row. !
A superb concert in the Jazz Cafe. !! Let me confess I gifted your concert to my partner as a surprise !!..she is still shocked 😂😂😂 hahaha..Unforgetteable.
By the way, we hope to seeing you soon..we will finally join to . the Utrech and Rotterdam concerts. ..double session😂. As you well said it is a great opportunitie to visit new destinations.😅..Cheers from Spain( Bcn). Jose&Gloria
Great see you there!!
Fonky stuff!
Nice one, lovely groove. A venue with more stage per punter than most.
There was 500 in there but the layout is a little strange at Jazz Cafe
@@MattJohnsonJamiroquai True Matt! When we came to see you at this gig, we'd forgotten how bijou the venue is even though we've been there many times before!!!, and as you say it's a bit of a strange layout for a gigging scene, was flippin' hot in there too🥵…. still, loved the gig of course!! 😎🎹🙌
Pure class! Those vocals were amazing, tight band, Matt. Your playing was totally on point as it always is! what a life, boy, I am envious. Was that the Iridium on top?...
Thanks, yes Waldorf Iridium
Took me back a bit to cruising around the airport with the gang in a mk 3 cortina in summertime..
Ah nice! Please can you do Delirium / Francine McGee next time? The tune that made me want to play keys.
Sugar Matt you gotta do a colab with Paul Hardcastle who's with me on that ??????
Fantastic e-piano solo - and an Iridium Keyboard on top of the VV replacing the P6?
yes I used the iridium that time
Great solo ! Great song ! Is that your Vintage Vibe on the bottom ?
Yes the signature model!
Matt, i see You use a monitor speaker. Please Tell me what is your favourite ? : in ear monitoring or standard monitor speaker in live performance? I know there are a different possibilities in what stage, with who you are playing and what sound system is on stage :) great performance. Greetings from Poland ! @faknwo
Thanks, I hate in ear monitoring as you can't feel the vibe of the room. I used to do it with Jamiroquai but now I only use wedges
Awesome rendition of a timeless jazz-funk classic, Matt! Obviously you've got your hands full playing Rhodes & strings, but if you could get someone to MIDI retrofit your hat you could deploy it to trigger the triangle part for this track... just sayin'! 😅
Waldorf is a strange bed fellow for the live setup
It was great, really flexible
The Vintage Vibe piano sounds incredible. Any downsides to it being a 64 as opposed to a 73?
Well this one is a 73 but the 64 is fine for most gigs
@@MattJohnsonJamiroquai thanks for the reply. I thought the one in your studio was a 64. Is this a different one? BTW the solo sounded great.
Awesome. Turn the rig 90 degrees counter clockwise so people can see your hands.
Que feo
Es broma
