a lot of haters in the comments i see. Mine works fine, no toilet bowling, nos ignal losses, just good response, steady flying and recording, landing works well, hovers in place just fine, and i got it for 240 on amazon
Hi Marcus! Geeze Louize! That landing was more like a vortex whirlpool! And it was lagging on course compensation from the wind. The video feed did help showcase the beautiful mountains. I'll agree that it's a great advanced beginner drone. Thanks Marcus! 👈🥸👉

@@BlairAir Yeah, I've always struggled with HS drones. Their HS360S isn't too bad, if it had a gimbal it would be easier to recommend.
I think it's a great looking drone. The video as far as colors looks good. The horizon looks a little round fish eye like you mentioned.
That controller is too small. I think I would have problems holding that little control. All in all, it's not that bad of a drone.

Interesting review. Got one of these for Christmas that has extreme toilet bowl symptoms that got bigger and bigger until I finally had to 'emergency stop' the drone each time I flew it. I ran compass ang gyro calibration on each flight and it didn't help. It's too risky to fly this anywhere but wide open spaces.
Support has been great. I'm sending it back. Not sure if I'm going to ask for a replacement or move on to something else.
Yes, because I was in an open field and over soft grass I just let it crash land. It's not a good feeling when a drone has a mind of it's own.

Got mine as a gift and they can’t remember where they got it from so HS is acting like I’m out of luck.
I haven’t even taken the plastic off the box yet but with it’s reputation I’m to nervous as a beginner to put something up it the air with it’s reputation and my lack of experience.
I’d like to just exchange it for whatever reliable drone they have in stock even though I think this “r” was the most expensive model they have.
Now I think I’m stuck with a paperweight.
@@jaxturner7288 Yes, my wife had kept the order info, so we were able to document the purchase. I ultimately moved on to a DJI Mini 4 Pro, and haven't looked back.

I've never flown the HS600 so cannot say.
It did pretty good for a Holystone, although that fisheye would drive some people nuts. Great video, Marcus 👍

you can very simply use a lens correction in davinci resolve and eliminate the fisheye.

@@DroneViewsMedia yeah that's a fair point. Same goes for color grading. Except for some DJI drones, most drone cameras record in a way that the footage requires a bit of editing when it didn't record in sunny conditions.

I thought that the video quality was very good throughout the flight. The camera stabilization was right on. I did get a chuckle out of their terminology. The orbit distance was listed as its "semi-diameter" instead of radius, and it said its GPS signal was "week" Other than that nit picking, I enjoyed your post! It is nice to get a good review like your's.

Your right that canceling the return home may have stopped the circling , however if you turn off gps it will also stop the circling. These HS drones all of a sudden go out of control and you must know how to stop it or the will crash. When they solve that problem I will buy another to experiment with
In this case I knew the worst that would happen is that it would tumble in the soft grass. I didn't think about disabling GPS. Good call.
I have never had that happen with the HS360S or the HS200W.
Super new to drones - what are the pros and cons of the phone directly connected and WiFi to the controller ? Once again I’m super new this will be my 1st drone
If your mobile device is connected directly to the controller, you typically get better range and FPV feed.

Considering this drone retails for $399 on Amazon, before discounts and coupon codes, which come and go. it is very underwhelming at that price. I think you could do better at around the same price. Great testing Marcus, I think you presented things in a way that will let people decide for themselves if this is right drone for them. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for using my link. I do not know of any updates. I will say that I suspect I could have got that toilet bowl effect under control if I had canceled RTH and taken manual control.

Does anyone know if the issue with toilet bowling and then crashing has been resolved yet as I've read and watched numerous content saying it's a very dangerous drone that goes out of control for no reason

why did it do huge circles during the landing? did you calibrate everything? Because I am concerned about my drone
Yes, it was calibrated. I'm not sure why it did that.
Have you had an issue with it losing control and you tried to get it back? Mine went haywire.

deff not a very good one,especially you could certainly see the drone wandering to the left and it losing altitude when you went sideways,camera was pretty decent tho.Get your hands on the new hubsan ace 2,i just got it and the camera is amazing on it.

This drone is high end performance. 28:07 Not sure why the bad review and making fun of Holy Stone. Maybe it needs to be a sponsored review. Has no drift. Mine definitely went faster and landed on the pad. Don’t tear a drone apart because it’s not a dji

Holystone 720 series is not bargain or budget or affordable to make an excuse of any problem and say is a bargain drone🤔... it is not ,... it's the same price of a dji mini

Oh my - WiFi! Thanks for the video Marcus, but this HS is just a toy, and way to high in price. I had a HS drone over 6 years ago, and their technology hasn't changed all that much. Although more money for a basic DJI MIni3. If you really like the hobby after buying this cheap HS drone. You just tossed that money away towards a better drone.
In my opinion.T his HS should be priced around 150.

Lacks quality, too expensive, is over 250g, doesn't have built in remote id = frustration. Not a good choice for beginners to the hobby. A used DJI would be a better choice.
