It goes to show that happiness is measured on how contended you are of what you have and the way this guy narrates and make instructions is very soothing... keep up Sir, nice channel
Hey Andrew, I love your creative approaches. You took a really old computer and turned it into a modern looking piece of art. Painting the motherboard is a bold move, but the care you take into making sure it doesn't affect any of the components is impressive. You created a very handsome potato.
These sorts of builds are perfect for emulating games. I may need to do one myself. My main rig is finally to my satisfaction, a whole 3000 dollars later. But I mean really what is the point of a custom build if everything isn't how you want it. Now I need something else to work on, custom case and all!! Loved the video. Keep up the good work
Whats convenient about having an open case like this is that you can easily take it outside or put it next to a window, get a paint brush and brush off all the dust that accumulates on it. No need to dismantle all the components. Don't have to worry about overheating either and it saves tonnes of space as the footprint is smaller than conventional PC cases.
I've been wanting to make something like this with scrap wood and junk metal, thanks for some more inspiration! I'm planning a medium- high end sleeper potato and I can't wait for when i've saved up enough to build it.
to me all parts can be used over and over again 1 is we all don't have money to throw around Greenplixel ad 2 this pc looks just fabulous it is critics that put some people down Cat& Andrew you do great vids I'll subscribe
Great video I love the aesthetics and the design that you gave to those components, and the best of all is that in this way you manage to change an outdated aesthetic and turn it into something very modern.
That looks like something I'll want to try down the line, especially with some old BTX hardware I have that I can't find a case for. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome design! I really want to built my a case like that now. That GPU is a MAJOR bottleneck though. A GTX 750 or a GT 1030 will be a cheap, _much_ more suiting alternative. I mean, you already got an SSD for it, so why not? Also, you should have covered the GPU's Vram too. I know It's not actively cooled but there's no need to isolate it further with a layer of color.
Nice job with revitalising old equipment! I'm wondering about how much hotter components run once they are painted. Maybe for short term usage it's ok but how about an all day gaming session? Would be nice to see some before and after temps next time. Also there doesn't appear to be a lot of room for the psu to exhaust heat, so that would also concern me.
As long as you do not paint heatsinks, northbridge/southbridge chips, higher end hardware motherboard /graphic card VRM mosfets/chokes and graphic card memory chips, temps should not rise any higher than normally.
@@juhasto91 I agree with your comment. I saw he painted nearly everything on the GPU (except the heatsink/fan) and same on the motherboard, that's why I asked about the temps.
@@BennTheGreaT Those components that would normally be air cooled would seem to now effectively be insulated by the paint thereby trapping heat within the component.
All these people out there complaining about "framerate drops" and I must be the only crazy fucker out there to manually and purposely limit the framerate on my games to 25. Keeps my laptop cool and I also like the "cinematic" feel. And about the "fan speed control dial", you just single-handedly done right there what people have been asking for 10+ years on laptops... These manufacturers are so out of touch to what the customers want (and would pay hard money for!!)
Usually most power supply I recicled the cooler not backwards. The paint was also unexpected and fun. Another mod to this could be using the wood in this but a motherboard panel from a spare rest of a PC Cabinet
I use your video as great english manual for me .I looked this interesting video and starting recognize some english language!!! Keep up the good work! I subscribed for this channel!(sorry, my english very bad. I am glad of any help from a native speaker (I am Russian) )
If you will overclock the GPU you will get MUCH better preformance. Trust me. I had an GT210. It can be easily done by MSI Afterburner, just move the GPU and RAM clock speeds to the max and click apply, then click the little Windows logo in the program. That's it.
cool! pro tip: speed up the video when you are doing regular stuff and not talking. and add some music on top. i watched this at x1.5 speed because of these, and i think at x2 would have been even better.
The silence in this video with no music is absolute serenity just admiring his workmanship
Other people: "These PC parts are old and useless."
Andrew: "Hold my beer."
Haha that is what I love about channels like this.
Why did you copy this.....?
Andrew: smash smash smash....!
@:D :D ahahah

the feeling and satisfaction of DIY own stuffs are indescribable

really enjoyed this video, with no crap music while doing thingd, keep the great work
Thank you bro :D
I Agree, Too Many Videos Are Ruined By Crappy Music.
This is actually making me feel glad about my GT 710 and Dual Core AMD Processor.
Love a good mod/restoration video especially restoring computers. I think restoring old tech is simply amazing. Keep up the good work!
love what you do with old machines
Thank you :D
I love the look of the finished product. Very clean and stylish.

That is some industrial design level of design and painting right there. Great job
This isn't a potato pc
"This is a piece of Art" that I would like to showcase in my most prized possessions
That PSU and spray painting the other electronics was a huge risk. Great job.
I like that this is not like some videos that says that they are using old parts and then show a new gamer pc.
Nice, keep the great work. Quick Tip : Try to add background music next time, there are some long pauses without talking.
its for play u own music :)
Article 13
I thought the fact of this video don't play eletro musics on the background is a rarity in the world of technology videos.
I rather hear silence than lousy music.

My first video to watch....love you sir Andrew
Wow! Who'd have thought painting the motherboard would look so good....brilliant video again!!

Iliked the mod and pc case you made.
Thanks Andrew, more more videos thank you so much
U r welcome bro, now i will do better stuff, something much different
that cpu is what my first half decent pc had lol
Great video I love the aesthetics and the design that you gave to those components, and the best of all is that in this way you manage to change an outdated aesthetic and turn it into something very modern.
Thank you :D
Paints entire mother board, GPU and cooler... Leaves mustard and ketchup cables
ik rip
love the way u say "is..."
That psu doesnt look / feel reliable.
Just... Take a look at it...
True
matches the rest of the build
probably an oem supply. looked fine to me for how old it is
You don't need a $100 power supply for it to run reliably.
I gpt a doubt, what about the psu fan?, shouldn't it be outside to take cold air?
That looks like something I'll want to try down the line, especially with some old BTX hardware I have that I can't find a case for. Thanks for the inspiration.
Running GTA V = Flamming my Bro 🔥
I think that is a very unique looking pc
one man's trash is another man's treasure ❤❤❤
Awesome design! I really want to built my a case like that now.

Very nice.
Its Beautiful
Finally I got am2 motherboard.
Thanks for your help with this video.
so interesting! thanks for giving all the details
WOOOOW SUPER COOL
Nice job with revitalising old equipment!

Open case wont make problem.

Best pc ever
Very cool, I like your style.
that could actually be really cool pc setup i think, like even as a main pc i wander how bad dust build up will be
Does it look dirty? Get out the can of air.
EweToobUsername yeah but im lazy, i haven’t cleaned my pc in like the last 3 years, but i vacuum my intake filters so it keeps most of it out anyway
You didn't expect this? What? Bro. CS 1.6 can run on a damn calculator!
try a demanding map to run it
Another great game which runs on pretty much everything is Painkiller: Heaven's Got A Hitman with default settings.
Great video, it's nice to see someone make use out of old parts!!
Bold and simple.
This is better than im using right now
whoah I have never seen pcbs/electronics painted
Pretty freaking cool.

ну да его корявый английский совсем его не выдает
Я по его англ. Погнял
Andrew has a great voice i think everyone here can agree?
Thank you bro :D
Usually most power supply I recicled the cooler not backwards. The paint was also unexpected and fun. Another mod to this could be using the wood in this but a motherboard panel from a spare rest of a PC Cabinet
Custom white sleeving on the PSU cables would have made it perfect
But it also means doing more soldering 😅
That, black, or a darker blue. And matching SATA cables.
@@EweToobUsername that would be awesome
not for playing, but someone who's struggling having a PC for say, college, or a small business it would be a perfect cheap solution.
So not only do the PC master race and car enthusiasts both have sleepers, but apparently they both also have ricers!
It's cool, it's very very cool. Nice job!
I like your design
end result looks amazing!
Nice matt paint, i like that.
Ok sir
i never thought painting a motherboard is safe. nice dye
That has to be the most sketchy PSU I've ever seen!
I know I thought it was going to pop as soon as he plugged it in
Amazing design with wood.
Thank you for the brilliant idea I've been looking for an idea to transform my Dell Optiplex 3060 sff Desktop
germans olways be perfectionist !
Excellent
Thanks bro. This is best idea
You inspire me.
I did the same thing! Great video as always Andrew :)
This is so cool! I am so happy I found your channel!
So nice ART PC....👍🥳👏🍻
very nice assembly )))
A wonderful life in the direct radiation of Gauss and EMI, which are so eagerly used by old equipment: D
Man plz more videos you are very helpful and inventer keep it upppppp
bruh that keyboard is probably worth more than those components
You are right :D
No cover, no protection.Dirt is the biggest enemy of computer. You know right!
I still got my emachines with amd athlon 64 x2 4850e with windows 10 64 bit and 2 gb ram and amd Radeon 5450 1 gb from 2014
I use your video as great english manual for me .I looked this interesting video and starting recognize some english language!!! Keep up the good work! I subscribed for this channel!(sorry, my english very bad. I am glad of any help from a native speaker (I am Russian) )
take a shot every time he says "pc case"
Genius man
Congratulations friend, very good video, I loved it
I love this shit for some reason... Even if it is a literal potato... I still love messing with it!
Love your builds Andrew; getting ready to attempt this one myself! ❤️🤖♻️

Man said:"f*ck air flow"
Air is free lmao
They are not motherboard holders. They are motherboard standoffs
cool!
pro tip: speed up the video when you are doing regular stuff and not talking. and add some music on top.
i watched this at x1.5 speed because of these, and i think at x2 would have been even better.
this is awesome
This is so cool!
I see you put a little Shabby-Chic into your builds!
Let's count how many times he said PC case
Me encanto tu idea eres el mejor.
Thank you :D
Ну что могу сказать Андрей, красавчик! Помоему я нашел тот самый канал!
some day i want to see you do this to higher and good hardware
Literally I used the same system 🤣🤣🤣
You are awesome
love u broo
Makes me want to do a video with my 64 X2! Such a great CPU for it's time.
PRETTY
