Great interview Xavier and crew is there any chance of getting an update on the Netherlands Navy future Amphibious replacement ships?? - I believe they are looking for 6 ships......
23.000 tons and no VLS cells? Calm down. I am just making fun of people who think that displacement and armament need to be in some kind of relationship.
In the year 2024 they name a ship after the Dutch Navy's hometown for the very first time. How weird is that. That name should have been at least a class for decades by now. Meanwhile we have seen ship names for decades of cities that hardly have ANY relationship with the Dutch navy. Sad.
Why does the rep being interviewed sound like he only saw the ship's spec sheet the morning of the exposition? I don't doubt that he's knowledge about the vessel, but his speaking style and cadence suggests otherwise... 🤷🏻♀
@@barendgarvelink Of course, and no one expects him to share secrets related to the design or outfitting. But Xavier asked basic questions, and the rep fumbled through his response- hence my earlier comment.

European are on track, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Italy, Sweden, Spain and others, great to see!! Like Japanese
Nice ship. It reminds me of the German Einsatzgruppenversorger ("taskforce-supplier").
Naming the ship ZrMs Zeekat (Cuttlefish) was a missed opportunity.
Does it do at least 20 knots?
He look like an actor from "Now you can see me"

You had me going there for a second...Nice one..😊
Where are the guns?
Sensors and weapons will be installed once the ship arrives in the Netherlands in a few days.
It gets a Leonardo 76mm autocannon and 2 12.7mm heavy machineguns plus a RIM116 launcher for AA threat
die werden in den helder basis zu gemacht
The ram and sovraponte will be installed in a few years. The ram system prow and gun above the Helicopter deck.
@@feddek9325 No Sea-Wiz? Where's the fun in... that?
Het is te hopen dat Damen zorgvuldiger omgaat met defensiegeheimen dan met reserveonderdelen, anders weten de Russen al meer dan wij.

One option is that he knows more than he’s allowed to disclose to a general audience and has to carefully consider his words.
