Hello 👋 The leaves are just that... leaves. They may contain some trichomes near the bud/flower, but are mostly just for photosynthesis for the plant to grow. The bud/flower is present on female plants only, and is where the cannabinoids like THC and CBD are concentrated. The sticky resin from the trichomes that form on the bud/flower are trying to receive pollen from the male plants to form a seed. That's why growers make sure not to have any males around. Also, the leaves can be juiced and are a total superfood. Hope that helps!
@@UnCannyWellness I know that was a stupid question. In India the flowering tops are illegal but the leaves aren’t. We have weird cannabis laws. Thanks anyways ✌️
If somebody eats hemp cookies for help sleeping, back pain, lower cholesterol, lower weight or any other reasons and has a drug test at work or by police. Will this person be positive to be under the influence of drugs? Very confusing. Is hemp a lighter drug than marihuana but still a drug?
Drug test don't look for 'hemp' or 'marijuana'. They look for THC, which is the chemical compound that gets people high. Hemp products can legally have 0.3% THC, which is not enough to get someone high but if taken at high doses could potentially show up on a drug test. So if someone is afraid of getting a drug test, it is important that they choose a product that is completely THC free (0.0%), verified by laboratory test... like our products :)
If it's growing buds all that means is that it's a female plant. A budding marijuana plant next to a budding hemp plant are nearly indistinguishable. Hemp and marijuana are simply terms for different expressions of CANNABIS, of which the female with always produce sticky buds and the male will always produce pollen. The THC level is what makes it hemp (0.3%THC). Hope that helps!
'Knowledge is power' as they say & expertly explained. In James Garner's autobiograghy its seems for pain relief he smoked Marijuana for 50 years, but in his opinion alcohol should be banned.
I am new to hemp but very familiar with D9. Is there a difference in smell? If the answer is no, then I think I found my superpower. To me, I can easily tell hemp from D9 just on smell. ....or Does it mean I've been getting shitty hemp that is low in terpenes and, to me, gives off an earthy, outdoorsy smell that otherwise looks stunning and is very potent? I've watched several videos from various content creators that review multiple strains of THCA flower and they rave about the smells that I'm just not getting, so any info on this is appreciated.
Hey Ed. D9 THC is a chemical compound found in cannabis. Hemp vs 'Marijuana' is basically a distinction based on the levels of D9 THC in the buds. There is high-grade hemp and low-grade hemp, just as there is high-grade marijuana and low-grade marijuana. The smell will vary based on the strain, growing conditions, and curing of the buds. So there are a lot of different variables to consider. The level of terpenes will vary significantly based on all those factors, and that definitely effects the smell. Hope that helps!
There is no physical difference between cannabinoid-rich hemp and marijuana. Only physical difference would be for industrial hemp produced for fiber or seed. Those plants are much taller and are grown more densely packed together.
Just like different dog breeds. However, is it likely that "hemp" is typically far more genetically modified by the industry and therefore potentially problematic? Cheers.
That's a good analogy. Selecting and breeding different strains based on industry needs has definitely modified the genetics. At the needs of the industry evolve, I'm sure the genetics people breed will evolve too. For example, if the THC limit for hemp increases to 1% instead of 0.3%, that could open up many strains to being 'viable' that couldn't be used before.
Sorry to burst the bubble but marijuana is not even an official term it is a slang term. used to make cannabis out to be a deadly terrible drug. So it really bothers me to hear people call it marijuana because it does not promote our cause. People still relate that to back alleys and drug dealers. I don't like to really tell you this but they are both cannabis. Beyond that the only thing I'm sure of is that hemp is always sativa."marijuana"can be sativa also. But it is normally a cross between a sativa and an indica. I'm stating this as I'm sitting here in my legal garden I live in Michigan and I bought some seeds from some bank that told me that they were selling me"marijuana"and after 30 days of flour as I'm noticing the hermaphrodited hemp plant that has just intermingled with my"marijuana"and pollinated all my special girls. I am ready to cry and I am extremely angry that I got took and got junk seeds and that they were misrepresented to me. So I don't know if I helped you topic any but that is the truth
I'm going to have to disagree with you. Marijuana is a slang term. I hate to say this but hemp and what you call marijuana or the get high are both 😚cannabis. Hemp is always sativa, "marijuana" is sometimes pure sativa but usually it is a cross between an indica and a sativa. So me as a true connoisseur hate to hear people call it marijuana because it is actually a term used to slander and promote disinformation back in the day. So I don't know the best way to call one one thing and the other the other it is just above my pay grade. I unfortunately just integrated hemp into my medical cannabis get high because the seed seller told me it was not hemp, high CBD\. 03% THC. Type numbers. I am very disappointed as I just discovered this tonight after about 30 days of flower is when I really figured it out and I'm afraid that the hemp pollinated my get high. Which definitely will mess seeds up
Cannabis is a hemp and Marijuana is Marijuana. Marijuana content potent addictive chemical compound while cannabis doesn't have that. They both look similar, but then they are different from each other. Be sure to buy the genuine cannabis oil, because most of cannabis oil sold are exactly from a Marijuana plant and not from cannabis hemp. Cannabis hemp oil is medicinal while Marijuana (cannabis oil????) ????.
Yes Hemp, not that GMO devils dope abomination that has caused many mental problems for people around the world, because God did not create it to have that much THC.

My pleasure! Unfortunately I have lost track of that song name :(

Can you convert hemp to marijuana???
Ok if a plant is growing flowers can it be hemp or is it for certain marijuana

Hemp and Marijuana describe different forms of the cannabis plant. The phytochemicals in marijuana/cannabis/hemp are not addictive, and are medicinal.
Wasn’t marijuana a derogatory term?
