      Hayden Gregory Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. I’ve only had it a few months. Compared to their other mowers this mower is built just as well. I have a 2016 Pro-Stance 52 with 450 hours and it’s be great with no issues. It should last you a long time!

      @@jcslawntips @ least go for ZTX42, don't cheap out on equipment. I got the right machine for my prop. when I 1st bought the house the yard was in really rough shape; I had a lawn svc bring it up to speed; there was a fence dividing the yard in 2 sections as the property borders 2 streets. So I cut a big enough opening to allow those machines to pass through.

    I’m wondering if the 44” Compact Pro with the wider tires and larger engine might be a better fit for me. I don’t have any 34” or 36” gates to go through, but I’m looking for a compact frame zero turn and the Gravely looks like it “out points” the Ferris and Snapper Pro. Anyone have any experience with the larger Gravely Compact Pro 44? Thank you!

    This machine is about 10k in oz. But if has all the commercial goodness it should be a excellent option. Hillsides will always be a problem unless they all switch to cub cadet steering wheel style of steering which is great but I worry about dust and dirt grinding in amongst the steering assy. Maybe by now we ought to know which is the best zt tyre for hillsides.

  • @MikeRome84

    Awesome review. I think they need to consider reworking the tire situation, very small thin tires are definitely not a good combination for ride on zero turn mowers, because of the hill/incline. Definitely has a nice cut . I look forward to more of your reviews. You definitely give the right information, stuff that really matters. Not many people do it like you do. Thanks for the great quality content you provide to the people.

    It seems very expensive for a 34” cut ZTR, and yes I know it’s a commercial grade mower. The people who will be buying it are: lawn services who cut properties with small gates to the back yard,, and a few home owners with a medium to small lawn but need space in the garage and or have a small gate to the back yard. How many people get fences installed with small gates? You would think a good fence salesman will tell the customer if you have a lawn service mow the grass for you their bid will be smaller if you put in a wider gate.

    • @jcslawntips
      @jcslawntips  4 года назад +1

      This type of mower is very popular down south because of the old gates that are on properties. Some areas have super tight areas that are just hard to get at. Thank you for watching!

    • @harolddenton6031
      @harolddenton6031 4 года назад +1

      This compact 36 mower would be good for folks who cut properties in older established urban neighborhoods with fenced in lawns which mostly have very narrow gates.
      Like in the west end of Richmond Virginia many houses were build over 40 to 80 years ago with tiny back yards and super narrow gate entrances to their small fenced in properties.

    I love my Compact Pro 34. Best cut quality of any of my mowers and hardly ever leaves visible clippings. I have an older version..maybe 2014-15..and it's quick. 9 mph as opposed to 7mph on this version, so it can rip through large properties. My biggest issue is hills. Up and down is basically the only way with it for me. Side to side is usually a no go.

    • @jcslawntips
      @jcslawntips  4 года назад +1

      I agree, the cut quality is amazing on this mower. Hill sides are not it's friend. Up and down is definitely the way to go if possible. That doesn't make it a bad machine. It's just and area to improve on. Thank you for watching!

    • @lavalleeturfcare7523
      @lavalleeturfcare7523 4 года назад +1

      @@jcslawntips Honestly, I think just the fact that it's a ride on makes it inherently bad on hills in regards to going horizontal. Never mind the fact that it's incredibly narrow. Even the slightest hill makes me feel like its going to tip. I have to say though..I have never had an issue going up a hill. Down can be a bit sketchy, though. haha. IMO stand-on is king for productivity and hills.

      sorry for all the questions. I have a chance of getting one (edge 34, literally just one comign to the state) here in Tasmania, Australia. These kind of niche mowers generally land and sell straight away so it's hard to get a look at one without putting a deposit on it, and forget about demo-ing one.

    14:32 you do realise that 34inches is the CUT width not the mower width 14:39 ofcourse it's wider than what they show, they can't defy the laws of physics and have the mower only exactly as wide as the blades are cutting.

    • @jcslawntips
      @jcslawntips  2 года назад

      Correct, the reason I point that out is because a lot of guys think that when they buy at smaller mower it will fit in a gate as wide as the deck. A 36 inch mower won’t fit through a 36 inch opening, a 34 will but a 34 will not fit through a 34 inch opening. You get it. But for the guys looking at buying a mower it might be something they over look. Bigger machines don’t typically matter as far as the overall width. But the smaller machines do for the guys that need the right size machine for their properties. Thanks for watching!
