Hey man! Thanks a lot for the series. I'm working with Inframet machines however most of the knowledge will be directly transferable for me, so looking forward to new vids. For sure I will be waiting for collimation error and different standards & tolerances
When not using the camera on the Hoffman you are supposed to have your eyes dark adapted and also be in a darkened room when using your test set. If in these conditions the light leakage you discussed would not be an issue.
Correct. Being dark adapted is essential to getting as accurate results as possible (considering human subjectivity) when going off the human eye. We own and use the camera when we are not dark adapted. That will be in future videos. But correct adapter plates still are essential for all of the reasons discussed and to have the flexibility of working with the camera system in a non dark adapted room.
Cool Video! one question: how do you manage pvs14 optics that doesn't have the same external dimensions as milspec ones? such as RPO optics that are much shoter than Qioptics Carson etc? since that distance is what really matters?
My 31A's bikini covers broke and I need them back again. Ebay be scary and the others seem hairy... do you have something I can buy? Edited to add: stuff like this is why I bought my 31a's from Licentia Arms
We really appreciate the feedback 🤙🏼. We have you covered on the bikini covers. Just shoot us an email and we can get you squared away. We have them in stock.
Love this series. Knowledge you definitely can’t find anywhere else.
We really appreciate the support!
Appreciate these awesome videos! Love gaining all the night vision knowledge I can
