You know you've watched too much Rachel Maksy when you see the tube turner and go "wait, no safety pin?!" 😂 Such a cute dress! Glad you put the sequined fabric to good use, love the way the colours interact with the lighting and the fabric underneath. It seems like it shimmers in blue, pink/purple and gold, so pretty!
I love how despite all the things that were stacking up to be a problem, and the iron shenanigans, you also achieved the magic of zipper behaving, and even strap placements.
It turned out so lovely, and you look like a dream in it! Great job. I love how you talk us through everything you do and your thought processes as you work. I learn a lot that way.
So adorable! I feel like rotary cutters might be the best option for cutting fabric like this - they’re super sharp, but the blades are thin and disposable. It can be difficult to cut accurately until you’ve practiced a bunch, but a good quilting ruler definitely helps.
This turned out really lovely. You have given me the courage to try sewing sequins. Glad for the tip about not using a serger. I hope you had a wonderful time at Disney World.
That's cute, I might try that wide waistband thing sometime since I have no frigging clue where my waist is for a comfortable skirt waistband! (the narrow part of my torso is up above the bottom of my ribcage, which is fine for a dress but terrible for a waistband). Also all I could think about when you put the straps on was that two comically oversized buttons to hold them on would be very Mickey!
Wow! Amazing (castle) dress! I had no idea that dressing up as the castle was a thing, though I am not surprised. Beautiful, and just enough fabric to squeak the whole thing out.
At first I was surprised to see you wearing a t-shirt under this skirt, but it looks so cute! I hope you had the best time wearing this outfit as well as all the others! 💜
I'm sure you'll get lots of recommendations for irons, but here's mine. I love my current iron that I bought after my kitty sent my old one to an early grave. I'm loving the SINGER Mint SteamCraft Plus Iron with OnPoint Tip, 300ml Tank Capacity, 1750 Watts. Maybe I owe my kitty a saucer of salmon as a thank you!
So flattering and adorable. I also love the navy blue dress you had on at the start of video, it also looked gorgeous on. Have a great time in Disney World.
LOVE the fabric. So adorable. Wish I had fabric like that to make something but I don't. I don't have a dress form so making things is a little difficult.
Love this. I always see this style dress/skirt for sale and fall in love with them, then chicken out because...boobs and straps can go badly. But this looks so adorable on you--gives me hope that I could actually wear one of these! Hope you had a fabulous time at Disney!
Irons are the worst when they go! Mine didn’t make any noises just super heated melted the seam I was pressing and burnt my brand new ironing board cover!!! Very bad words were spoken!! The skirt turned out beautifully!! The sparkle is great! Hope your having a wonderful trip!!!
You are so lovely in this!!! Thank you for all your insight and instruction. I almost had a panic attack when the periwinkle was cut into but sure enough you made it work!
Love this! I put the Tube Turner in my basket at Amazon, I'm just debating how much I will use them but they would be awesome for the arms & legs of my cloth dolls. I have always used the old safety pin method (like Rachel). It can be frustrating & much slower for sure!
When I saw your iron on the same table as your computer and all that other stuff I almost had a cow! I have had too many go bad, meaning that their seals broke after getting so hot that all the water just comes out.. All I could think is you were going to lose everything on that table including your computer. So glad that didn’t happen. Maybe consider moving things in the future??!.
I have made many sequinned figure skating dresses on my serger. I can confirm that sergers hate sequins. I might have budgeted 2 paquets of needles per dress...

Love the pocket placement. Love the fabric. Love seeing Dora. Enjoy your trip!

Looks lovely and sparkly. Hope you have an awesome holiday at Disneyland .
I've been waiting for this project ever since I saw that fabric in the background! Turned out beautiful of course!!
This is adorable!! So much sparkly!! 😍😍😍
I love how despite all the things that were stacking up to be a problem, and the iron shenanigans, you also achieved the magic of zipper behaving, and even strap placements.
This turned out super cute. Very sparkly and fun. :)
That is a very pretty skirt the sequins are great have a wonderful time at Disneyland
I keep intending to buy some cute velvets and corduroys and make some skirts like this for fall. This one is so pretty with the sparkles!!!
Adorable!!! Fit is spot on!!!
Super cute!! I am sure it matched the castle perfectly.
OMG, I love the space fabric you are wearing!
It turned out so lovely, and you look like a dream in it! Great job.
I love how you talk us through everything you do and your thought processes as you work. I learn a lot that way.
Another great color for you!
I freaking love your t shirt! And the skirt is ❤️❤️❤️

Wouldn't the wheelie bit have issue with the sequins?
@@rd6203 probably not. They’re thin plastic, and a fresh rotary blade goes through that like it’s nothing.
I was thinking the same thing! Rotary cutter blades are cheap and easy to change!
I've had such issues with my rotary blades not cutting in certain spots -- I feel like using one on sequins would make them die even faster!
@@LadyRebeccaFashions My feeling exactly!
That skirt jumper dress is full on Disney! Soooo shiney! Soooo want! Need my local sewing shop to get in some glitter or sequins fabrics....
Well, it came out beautifully despite all the issues! Happy Dapper Day to you!
This turned out really lovely. You have given me the courage to try sewing sequins. Glad for the tip about not using a serger. I hope you had a wonderful time at Disney World.
Absolutely love this! You did such a great job!

Just lovely!! You look amazing in this! I too can appreciate the thread you used on the waistband matching the outer skirt!! Have a wonderful trip!
I LOVE it! It's such a cute jumper dress!! :D Your t-shirt & ears are just perfect with it!! :D
Oh my gosh - your hair is so cute!! (the skirt too!)
Wow! Amazing (castle) dress! I had no idea that dressing up as the castle was a thing, though I am not surprised. Beautiful, and just enough fabric to squeak the whole thing out.

Love the skirt & the less waist gathering actually allows the sequins to great effect!❤️
Beautiful!
Very nice, so flattering, and swirly enough.

Super pretty! I love that you made the thing despite not having the ideal yardage! She's a glorious make!

I adore how sparkly it is. I remember seeing the bridal collection that I first saw use that sort of sequined fabric and being completely mesmerized

That fabric is just so cute!
Very pretty, this will look beautiful with a puffy sleeve blouse. Thanks for sharing and hope Disney was great.
I hope you are enjoying or have enjoyed your holiday. The dress looks lovey on you, but that’s a given, really!
We were at Dapper Days both days. Unfortunately, I didn't see you. Hope you had a great time here!
So cute!!
It’s fabulous. Have the best time ever xxxx
Taffeta, darling! Taffeta!

OMG! I love that skirt - I was just at WDW in October, and it is perfect for the Magic Kingdom!
Yay second comment and top 10 likes. Love your videos and Cinderella.
"You can not just forgo pockets" ..truth
Rest in peace, traitor iron!
I’m not the only one trying to keep The Girls each in their lane!
Woah that is SO CUTE!!!

I've never had an iron with a leak issue!
I missed it can someone tell me how the Rebecca fixed the melted Frabric issue?
I didn't really. It was going to be more obvious if I patched it, and luckily it was off to the side right at the bottom, so not too noticeable.

You could take the pieces of strap and make hair clips.
But can I ask where this top in the intro came from?? I MUST HAVE IT
Thanks! It's one of my new eshakti dresses. I talk about it here: ruclips.net/video/3n5h5IzR6Zo/видео.html
All the the out fit is missing is Cinderella themed mouse ears
I actually bought the EARidescent ears, and they were a perfect match!
I think that's an ex-iron ...
