I LOVE YOU.....I have been using the ‘trial version’ trying to decide if I wanted to try to digitize my own patterns instead of paying someone.....BUT, I was having so much trouble trying to figure it out...I will definitely be purchasing it after my trial and possibly purchasing sew what pro as well....THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS PROGRAM SO CLEAR TO UNDERSTAND.....
This 3 part series was like attending a seminar with you! Thank you so much for doing this. I had watched a few videos, but nothing came together until I saw yours. You are a phenomenal teacher!
Wow!! Your a great teacher. I have struggled with 3 different digitizing programs and purchased two tutorials. I'm going to buy these two programs and with YOUR tutorials I will no longer be frustrated and hopefully achieve better results.
I'm only part way through, and this has already been extremely helpful! Thank you very much for this excellent tutorial and for sharing your talent with us.
Thank you Thank You THANK YOU! OMWord, loads of very detailed instruction. I'm in awe of your teaching skills. Info is crystal and easy to follow and understand. I just bought SA today and am having a ball. Thanks again for sharing your talent and knowledge. 💕🤗
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know that this video was helpful to you Cyn. I enjoy helping others learn. I am glad you are enjoying the program!
Thank you so much for your videos. You have made this very easy to understand. I have watched a few videos but nothing comes close to yours. Thank you again!
If you're a member of the SewArt Digitizing group on Facebook, that is the best place. More people will see and learn from the questions and answers there, and I am more likely to see the question and reply sooner there (and others can reply too). If not, you can ask them here.
Thanks for the tutorial! I may have missed it, but I'm looking for a way to direct the machine to cut the stitch after a certain area, even though the next area is the same color (so, for instance, it would cut the thread between letters of the same color). Does SewArt have that capability? Thanks again!
when in my stitch mode, the color I chose to digitize shows a block # on top of the section covering my next step for coloring. This is new in my program. Have you seen this before?
Yes, you can create your own stitch pattern. You would use the PAS editor. You can find information about this in the SewArt manual starting on page 52.
Is there a way to fill stitch with a satin stitch? For example a simple monogram lettering done with stitches all the way across the letters not filled in? If that makes sense... i cant find a setting in Sew art to allow this. I tried messing with satin applique centerline but not sure how to adjust it as it didnt turn out well. thanks!
Hi Kyle. There is no satin fill in SewArt. Satin can only go so wide before it becomes unstable. I would consider satin stitch to be the weakest link in SewArt. Unfortunately it does not come out nice and smooth like most people would like. You can try using outline centerline and selecting satin and adjust your settings to get a wider and closer set satin. I would suggest settings of at least 20-25 for height and 2 for length. The height setting will control the width of the stitch, the length is how close together the stitches are.
Mya Twesten Thank you very much for the response! Really enjoying your videos so far! What stitch pattern do you use the most for lettering? Say in monograms or company logos that have lettering?
You're welcome. I use and recommend using purchased (or free) professionally digitized fonts that are merged into a design after completion using SewWhat Pro. If the logo itself is a letter, depending upon what it is, I would most likely use a fill stitch.
The program is $75 (US). SewArt and SewWhat Pro are completely different programs with completely different functions. SewArt is used to create stitch files (digitize) from images. SewWhat Pro is an editor for existing stitch files. Thank you for the compliment on the video! :-)
Hello thank you for videos. When I change the size of my picture my quality changes. I am missing part of my image and different places. Why is that? Please help
I can't answer for why it happens, but I would suggest sizing the image to the finished dimensions desired before you clean up the image for digitizing. I just took a second to play with a simple 2 color image and didn't have any issue with the image changing when I resized it after having it reduced to 2 colors, so I am unsure of what might be going on with your design.
Hello again. My image is just really poorly after resizing. Even if I uploaded to the size I want it still becomes blurry after zooming in. It is a PNG file. Could it be my pii? What should I save it as?
A poor quality image is a poor quality image. The only thing you can do with it is try to use the art tools to get a clear representation of what you want, or find another image that is better quality. SVG are usually the best to work with. Changing an image of poor quality from one format to another isn't going to make the image better.

super tutorial I learned a lot
How do you fix the stitching that you showed on the smile face. That had empty stitches.

I'm new to embroidery, but i'd like to know if it's possible to create an original fill or stitch pattern for the color fills. If so, how?

What does the Programm cost? Is there a big price differenz between SewArt and the pro version? By the way nice video :)
