Been waiting for this review! Hoping you do a review with no Ir on, I think that's what a lot of us are wondering about! And I would say that the nvg30 is better in low light unless you were running/recording them at the same time, I say that because the nvg30 is using a 940nm light compared to the nvg10 using a 850nm light, which is much brighter! I'd like to see maybe the nvg10 vs 30 running next to eachother, with only one using it's light and then the other using its light only, but my prediction stands.

Lens flashes should be identical. The main difference would be whether or not IR lights are turned on... If they are both off then your IR signature would both be zero, however the gen 2 pvs14 would probably pick up more ambient light and perform better. If both devices were using IR, then the performance would be similar, with the slight advantage going to the pvs14 for less latency.

Sorry, what a BS. You cant see with those units in the dark without IR light. OBVIOUSLY. So how is it supposed to be on the level of gen2 or even gen3? Even with Gen1 you can see more in the dark without IR Illuminator. Please dont spread such misinformations. Im a NV seller and owner of multiple NVGs. I also have two units of the NVG-10. But this is not comparable to real Image intensifier tubes. Even Gen1+. The NVG10 is only usable for Stargazing. It can do it even better than analog night vision. But thats all. With the NVG30 you can at least navigate a little bit. The color modes are also very very nice. Also for Stargazing. The NVG30 is worth the money if you already have analog night vision. But this unit does NOT provide a good alternative to Gen2+ or Gen3 units. Not even close.
@@Shoelaces77 No it's not. Gen1 tubes working at light-speed. Look at the Pulsar edge GS. It has Gen1 CF-super tubes (EP33). No edge distortion and resolution like Gen2+/gen3 tubes. It intensifies more light than any of the NVG10/NVG30 sensors. No lag, no FPS, just real time light intensification. It needs IR light, exactly like all the digital units. But you don't have the negative stuff of digital. When the screen of the NVG30 turns black, you can still see a little bit without IR light on your Gen1+ unit. Pulsar edge GS as example. But both are unusable without IR. I have both and I tested both. I say that as a fan of the NVG10/30.
@@aesthetic8780aside from the lag and latency, it is still better in image quality than a Gen 1. And no, they don’t really need IR to work,as long as there is sufficient ambient light and not complete darkness
I have Gen2+ white phosphorus and they are no comparison to this unit. Huge price difference but to say they are the same or better is completely false. Gen3 is not worth mentioning as this is laughable

eBay they sell a ir diffuser but it’s for the 10 I’m sure in a year or so the same guy will make some upgrades for this I’m not sure why it’s one guy modding these
Can sun light damaged the monucolor
It can also be used in the daylight shouldn't be any issues with sun unless you leave it baking in the heat then that might cause other problems.
O infravermelho vermelho é visível?
It is
is there any way to make it less zoomed out?
There is a way to zoom in if that's what you are asking!
@@UrbanSurvivor no haha. I want to have better field of view. Like the prowl kinda
@@Fischer56 there is a wide angle lens mod in the works. will post an update about it on the channel when its available.
@@GoodNiteGear great! if the camera would be less zoomed out i would purchase one. so since youre making a lense ill proceed to buy one! thanks!
@@Fischer56 at this point I have not tested the lens yet myself. Might be worth waiting until the lens mod comes to life before purchasing the nvg30 on the off chance it doesnt come to life.

$495 is certainly under $500. LMAO!!!! The Sionyx Black is only $399.
Are they decent for that price
I'll put it this way, I have a Sionyx Aurora pro, and I just bought one of these nvg30s. I'm selling my Aurora.

It can run without IR. But I agree it is no Analog tube. I think he meant the image quality. Its definitely better than a Gen1
@@aesthetic8780 gen 1 ep33's not have edge distortion? what a crock of shit lmao, they absolutely do
@@kwooookthe GS also looks blurry beyond 100m.
Have you used nvg30s personally? Or are you just one of "those guys".
@@oni_goroshi have you used both or are you just a “Fan Boy”
Just sent you an email. Would love to work with you.
Got it! Looking forward to working with you on some videos!
