Edit: The “Reprisal” rerelease also changes the note. This time it reads “Seriously, Allan. It’s been seventeen years. Any details yet…?”

I kind of see old hitman and the new trilogy like the different ways you love new and classic doctor who, you love the old games but they are held together somewhat by stickytape, the level of jank on display reaching the unacceptable but they are still lovingly conceived and fun, but the new games are so much sleeker and better made, taking the possibilities of its concept to its most realised places

I actually found this "easter egg" and told about it in the old Hitman Forums, around 2011 or 2010. The Hitman Forums have all been wiped back then. There were only 3 people who responded to the forum post before it was to get "frozen" and remove any replies. I remember playing Hitman normally to a lot and spend hours on the Hitman Forums, which was in Hitman Blood Money newspapers after the end of a mission
