Lmao how does anyone that understands the rehypothication of paper gold issues & verification issues of counterfeit gold... say gold *on blockchain* is somehow going to work. Who pays for the security & verification? A small % of your digital gold gets siphoned? Lol
My experience is to have received a LOT of criticism from hardcore gold bugs for being in bitcoin. That's in an online prepper community I belong to; the animosity by those mostly-Boomer, rather traditionally minded investors is intense. The bitcoiners in the community are much more tolerant of metals than the other way around.
QTR is always entertaining, but not too much for actually explaining why he believes what he believes. Subscribed to his Substack for a year. Did not renew because, while his columns were funny, he just didn't provide any insight into macro, markets, or specific trades. Very low signal to noise ratio.
Still, an entertaining change of pace, and I'm glad he has come around on Bitcoin.
Gold has substance so does Iron. Gold has scarcity and it worked for thousands of years, Bitcoin has a more defined scarcity and puts the sought out gold concept to a new level in so many ways! Sam 1, Qouth the Raven 0. Sempe Fi

So you still have to *trust* no rehypothication, you still have to *trust* verification of quality. How would the network pay for the custody/security? If the internet or power goes down for an extended period of time, how do you retrieve "your" physical gold? The only use case for gold as a money is if that power/internet outage scenario happens

@scottboyington9768 I own physical gold. Not debating the usefulness of owning it as an insurance policy. But as long as the internet exists, it's not going to be utilized as it has in the past. It should remain something people strive to hold as a physical asset in their custody. Blockchain doesn't help any of negatives of gold. Same as paper bitcoin in an ETF wrapper but less efficient.
I think F-bomers are typically the most genuine, truthful people you're going to find.
Weave that together a series of comedic rants of the things we think but never say about the economic problems of the day.

I watch Swan with younger kids. An occasional curse word is observed. This fellow real puts “low” in “low class”. His filler words are f-bombs. Sad this was a selected guest.
R rated...uses the F word way to much...my grandson called me on it...not family friendly.
Explain to him that we give more power to certain words for arbitrary reasons to enslave ourselves and hand over our own power to 4 simple letters that just happen to form a "special" control word.

The interviewee doesn't let the other guy finish two sentences in a row. The interviewer is not very skilled at guiding the interview. A bit of a messy interview that could have gone better with a better structure from a more skilled interviewer.
