My daughter loved it for about a month than she wanted her arms free, she's 3 months now and a kicker😂 she wants her lil arms and legs free to do whatever.
My daughter would not be swaddled. All the nurses tried and she fought with her little fists the whole way. No matter how many times we tried she hated it. She still doesn’t like closed in spaces and she’s in her thirties 😅
even its a nurse who dies it, its wrong! shall this baby suffi ATE? it is Gully dressed and gets in 1 Meter of fabric wrapped up. that is not healthy at all. please forget about swaddeling completely
She was amazing and so patient with us as new parents. She even kept our son a little while longer when she did his vitals to give us more time to sleep. The whole team were so amazing ❤
They have automatically assumed that babies like swaddling . In my countries hardly anyone swaddles and all babies are fine . It’s almost as if parents want to swaddle instead of focussing on what the babies want
yes, my daughter hated being restreigned at first, then she needed it for about 3-4weeks then she was uncomfortable again. Her father was like "you bought that for only a few days..." YES but sleep is worth a few euros!
I swear some nurses just love over explaining a demonstration while the newborn is uncomfortable/crying. The head drop at the end would’ve had me livid.
I fold the top corner down on the inside so there’s a little flap and tuck baby’s arms under that and then fold/wrap her up like a burrito. I tried the way in the video so many times but she kept busting out of it lol
I like the new swaddle Eenie better. It has mild compression that goes across his chest, but it allows the arms and the legs to move a little bit and of course there’s an opening at the bottom for diaper changes, but they go to sleep. I don’t like all of this swaddling like that cause bunch of material on the babies back I can’t imagine that being comfortable.
I despise swaddling I never swaddled my son, my son sleep straight through the night. My son is 47, I listened to my mother and its was the best for him. I can't look at this.
I made sleep bags (have pajamas 1/2 sleeping bag) with a draw string bottom. when she was born the nurse took one look at it and said it was better to swaddle. And she tried to swaddle my daughter for 5 hours, and every time the nurse got done and walked away my daughter would wiggler her right arm out. When her shift ended i had the nurse bring my daughter to the room, i put her into a sleeper bag and there was no more fussing or struggling.
Wrong wrong wrong. Baby is no longer in the womb so he doesn’t need to be treated as such. Swaddle with legs loose not folded up. This will cause issues with the baby’s hips as he is growing outside of the womb.
My kid HATED This! I mean HATED HATED HATED being wrapped up like a straight jacket! She screamed bloody hell when the nurses did it! Her head turned purple and she was gasping trying to breath! I unwrapped her and ordered them to leave her alone! She never cried or fussed unwrapped! I can’t stand swaddling! It’s mean
A baby has been all squished up for months in the womb, it needs to stretch out their little arms and legs, not be tied up so tight. I never swaddled my babies and they slept fine! Turned out great and all are wonderful over the top adults!!
@@amulenjuliet9925 good grief could you reach any further for what I was actually saying?? I had been told that a swaddled baby grew up to be calmer, more confident and on and on, I was just making a point that all babies do NOT need to be swaddled to become good normal adults!! Can’t you people see that the child is uncomfortable. Swaddling a baby is like imprisonment. He’s been swaddled already for 9 months. Let the babies be free because they always cry out of being uncomfortable the moment I watch a video of a baby being swaddled. This conventional wisdom will get your children paralysed. Let the babies be free and enjoy blood circulation.
See this is the issue with this swaddling and why there is ao much controversy over it. These contraptions that people are zipping and tieing their babies into have their babies arms and legs straight down like a flipping mummy. Not like the nurse is doing here which is the correct way.
At some point around like 6 weeks and my kids hated being swaddled my family and my friends call me a swaddle master I can swaddle a baby in less than a minute
This helpful of my bby, she sleep tight because my bby always startle always she can sleep,so that's why this is the key to swaddle her and it's work ❤

exactly, they say to mimic the comfort they felt in the womb but they aren’t in the womb anymore why confine them even after birth? i’m having my baby in August and still contemplating if i want to swaddle her 😢
@@kiorasmommy i have twins swaddling helps so much, it stops them from crying so fast and it’s safe for them cause they can already roll and it helps keep them on their back
Newborns do not have control of their limbs. Unlike grown humans, they do not go into "sleep paralysis" when they sleep, resulting in random arm and leg flinging. It startles them and they cry due to the stress. Swaddling done correctly does not hurt the baby at all--even if it looks like it. They are just snug, similar to how they were in the womb. Effective swaddling increases comfort and prevents movements from jolting themselves awake.
Скрюченный обрубок получился! Толи дело мы своих пеленали: ножки вместе, ручки по швам, получался ровный "столбик" и детки вырастали спокойные, стройные, пряменькие, была несвобода, но и был результат!
He doesn't like that straight jacket.. wait until you see his arms are purple when you unwrap him. Sleep like that and see how you feel. Then write and tell about being restricted from movement.
That's not correct at all. Lots of babies love to be swaddled. They've been in a womb for 9 months it's comforting for them. And they have reflexes they can't control.
It’s suppose to constrict its movement. Babies were constricted in the womb and got comfortable that way. Wrapping them 🌯 makes them feel more secure. My baby got instantly happier when I wrapped him. I could see it in his eyes 👀 and sometimes he’d even smile at his newfound comfort. 🥰
Please not too tight Heart must beat Baby must breathe and cry And babies don’t like to ROLL… scares them! U-shaped small rolled blanket is perfect around sides and bottom. Just my experience talking here.
Please leave an arm out for your baby. God forbid your baby is trying to call your attention as in choking or any source like that that one arm will be his or hers distress signal! It will also be easier to know if your baby is properly moving ! Some babies only move their hands at night
This way is so much easier. I just tried it. My little man is sound asleep. His hands have not woken him up. Thanks
Yes, young babies naturally sleep with their arms up rather than at their sides and newborn do love to scrunch.
Crazy how this works for a newborn, as an adult I'd feel each fold in my back for sure😂
My kid hated being swaddled! He would kick the blanket off and stretch out. He was much calmer and much more comfortable enjoying his freedom.
Exactly
Every baby is unique. My three now teenagers loved being swaddled. My son wanted to be swaddled for months. He was super clingy 😂
