- Renfrew burgh and town:
Who doesn't, just for a few seconds, imagine when they first see the Renfrew town hall from a distance, that it is a Fairy castle or a Disney castle or that beautiful Neuschwanstein castle of Bavaria?
It is such a lovely sight, whichever road you approach from into the town centre, and it has an almost magical fairy-tale quality about it with its soaring spire, bartisan towers and clock. Note also the 3 ostrich feathers emblem on the spire: Prince Charles is Baron of Renfrew.
It is home now to the town's museum and a museum worth seeing and there are other things to look at too as you walk about or shop, or as you walk up from the ferry from Yoker way.
Interesting

Worked up in Renfrew in '67 at Scottish Cables Ltd. I was 17/18 and loved it. Went back to Liverpool for a year before heading out to Australia with a few quid in my pocket and the clothes on my back.
You made the right move. 👍
Thank you. This is lovely.
