Your new orange t shirt looks lovely on you. I would say the colour suits you. For a better fit for next time, add bust darts. No more side wrinkles if you add bust darts ❤
Thanks so much for watching and your comment. I have in the past done an FBA on that pattern but it made no difference so maybe adding a dart may help. I do try and avoid darts in jersey though but maybe I should just go ahead and do it. Thanks again 😊🧵
Tom and I were sick a few days after Christmas but have quickly recovered. Fortunately we will start the New Year back to normal. I'm catching up on sewing YT videos tonight! Congratulations on your new JUKI. It's a masterpiece! ENJOY!! I really think that orange fabric looks good with your skin tone. I love it. And I absolutely love the green glittery blouse on the dress form. I agree that the baby dress should be a viewers pick. It's beautiful. Health and happiness are MOST important. I agree! Beautiful lights at the end WOW! And you and your daughter with the velvet dresses!!! STUNNING REALLY!! Wishing you all health and happiness as well in the new year! 🥳🎉💖💖💖
Oh dear so sorry to hear you weren't well either but glad you have recovered. I am so excited to really get using my new machine in the New Year and everyone seems to rave on about them 👏🏼. It was so cute that Katie and I wore our dresses on Christmas Day as we certainly hadn't planned it, such a comfortable fabric though we both felt so 'relaxed' in them. Hope you have a wonderful 2024 with lots of exciting new things and adventures. 😘🎉
@@socarole66 I think Diann from Silver Threads Sewing and Karon Euter both have the Juki. They both love their machines. I've never used one but it would be exciting to try. I can't wait to see what you do with it. I'm sure you will be creating wonderful makes in the new year! So exciting!!! 🥳💖♥♥
What wonderful surprises from jen Andra is so clever and thoughtful the orange top is super mmmmm a juki i myself is looking for a new machine lovely video Happy New Year may it bring you much joy🎉🎉🎉😊
Thank you so much Robyn for all your lovely compliments and I agree with you about Andra, that was a super idea wasn't it! I am happy with the Juki so far and everyone raves about them so I hope I've made a good choice. Happy New year to you too 🎉😊
you should wear more orange.. it looks wonderful on you. Your velvet outfits are perfect.. . Sometimes my scraps overwhelm me too but I found a women's shelter that loves to take them so once or twice a year I donate some..
I fully agree, you appear to me to be an “Autumn” in the color by season color palette. You look good in forest greens, browns, rich warm reds and orange. Enjoy your top! Do a full bust adjustment, maybe 1/2 inch to take away the lines. You’re fine.
Thank you so much for your helpful comments. I did do a FBA on that pattern once but it didn't seem to make any improvement strangely, perhaps I didn't do enough although my actual measurements imply I don't need one anyway! I had my colours done back in 1980 and ended up being a Winter. What I don't know is if that changes over time as Orange is certainly not something I should wear?! Thanks again and Happy New Year 🎉😊
Thanks Cindy, I can't believe the love I am getting for the orange top! That is interesting that you donate your scraps to a womens shelter, what do they do with them? I donate my jersey bits etc from garments to my charity shop and they sell for rags but its these lovely little pieces of cotton I don't know what to do with. Happy New Year and thanks for your comment 🎉😊
Love the orange on you. Machine looks fabulous and good to see you enjoying it. So great to get sewing gifts for Xmas. I got a Tilly Stretch book which is great but mainly get M&S and Waitrose vouchers which I use for food then take the money for fabric. Works for me. Happy New Year . Lynne. 😊
Thank you so much Lynne. I've often heard people saying about that stretch book as it is really popular, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with that. What a genius idea to switch vouchers into 'fabric money', I had never thought of that! Thanks so much for watching and Happy New Year 🎉😊
Love the orange top! I have a Juki DX7, which I also got from Franklins (for Christmas last year). I sew most days and loved it from the first day and still love it. The buttonholes are amazing, too. I previously had a Janome that I never took to (it was ok), but am now hooked on my Juki and can’t imagine needing another machine again.
Thanks so much! Great to hear that you too have bought a Juki from Franklins and that you love it. I haven't braved a buttonhole yet, I just haven't had the time but I'm really pleased so far. I had a Janome for 30 years which was great then bought another 3 years ago which wasn't good at all. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. 🎉😊
So awesome that you have a new machine. I know you will love it. The ornament Andra sent you is so cute. And I agree with the others, the orange top looks lovely on you. Enjoy your time with your family this weekend and Happy New Year.
Thanks CaroIl, my old machine was just such a pain and couldn't cope with anything other than a thinner jersey or cotton. It was only 3 years old but has been a nightmare since I bought it! I am so chuffed with the ornament that Andra sent, it was such a brilliant and clever idea. Happy New Year to you too 🎉😊
Hi Carole!! What wonderful Happy Mail you received!! It was all very nice but I would say that I thought Andra's gift was classic! Very special!! You 5 are like an eclectic group of sewists that inspire others. How cool is that?!?!
Hi Deb!! Aren't I lucky to have received so many wonderful things. Andra was so clever to have thought of those ornaments, I will treasure that for many years to come. This whole sewing community inspires each other doesn't it and I hope that also continues for many years. Thanks so much for being my friend in 2023 and I wish you, William and Bella a very Happy and Healthy 2024 xx🎉😘
Welcome to the Juki club, Carole! You will LOVE it! They are amazing machines! The best, IMO! Thankful everyone is on the mend and you’ll be able to celebrate soon! The gifts from Jen are fab! I’m so glad you like the FF ornament! Thank you for the kind words! You look amazing in orange, and the green top is gorgeous! 😘
Hi Andra, I am so glad you approve of my machine choice! Adam so tried to encourage me to go Bernina 😆 but the drop in bobbin is a must for me! I absolutely loved that ornament, I will really treasure that. People keep saying the orange top is ok and I can't believe it as I am meant to be a Winter and no way does orange fit with that. It is obviously a colour I have been missing all my life 🧡 Happy New Year my lovely friend 🎉😘
It’s so nice to get a new TOY and you looked really happy opening the box😄😄. Your orange top looks great on you!! I hope you enjoy the time with your family, Happy New Year!!!🎊 🎊🎉🎉🥳🥳
Oh it really is Karen isn't it 👏🏼. I would never have believed orange would work for me, thanks so much for your kindness. Happy New Year to you too 🎉😊
Thank you Deborah, so it seems a win on the orange then from everyone! Why haven't I worn it before 🤣. I have way too many blues and need to branch out more. Thanks so much for watching as always. Happy New Year 😊🎉
Hi Carole! You are going to LOVE the Juki. They are real workhorse machines. I love all your makes! I actually love the orange jersey fabric. It looks great with your hair color. The card wallet was a great idea. I’m so glad everyone is getting well. Hope you have a Happy and Healthy New Year! ❤
Hello Diann, I do hope you had a good Christmas. So many people have the Juki machines so I'm guessing I made a good choice! The card wallet was such fun to make, sometimes we just need little projects like that don't we. I cannot believe how many people have said the orange looks good as I shouldn't be able to wear it being a 'Winter'. Happy New Year to you my friend 😊🎉🍓xx
Thank you so much! I have just used it to sew through so pretty thick stuff and it breezed though it 👏🏼. I am so impressed so far. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
I always enjoy the photos you add at the end of your vlogs, Carole. Your opening was beautiful, too. A new machine, and a Juki at that! HVe SEW much fun! 😘
Thank you so much Lynn, I am so glad you enjoy the photos still. I am so thrilled with my Juki but so far have only had a few hours playing on it, I can’t wait until next week when I can have more fun and maybe try a buttonhole 😂. Happy New Year and thank you so much for always supporting my channel ☺️🎉
@@socarole66 I hope you find that the buttonholes are beautiful, Carole. I’ve never had a Juki, but I upgraded last year ( again 🤪) to a Brother Stellaire XJ1. I’m amazed at the buttonholes! There are so many things still to try, especially with the embroidery and quilting modules.
Well first off I have to rave about your velvet dress! Gorgeous! I'm so happy you liked the things - for some reason I thought I threw in some "car coasters" for your drink holders in the car. But who knows, those may have all gone to the kids, can't remember. I didn't even notice the Vaseline had the glow - I meant it to just be hand cream for the sewing room as we all need that, and you especially in the cold. But I don't think you want orange hands! I think everyone's Christmas was just slightly off this year, But still good - your new Juki looks fabulous! And what a treat that just when you felt like sewing those PJ's were already cut and ready to go. Happy New Year, my sweet friend, 2024 is gonna be a fabulous sewing year for the Fab 5! xox
Thanks Jen again for all those pressies! I have kept all those bags by the way as they are like gold dust over here and at last my bag holder which hangs on my kitchen door at last is stuffed again for the first time in a couple of years 🤣. Little things please me 🤪. No car coasters but I've just made a couple as I'm trying to use up my scraps! So here is to another year of Fabulous Five-ness, can't wait to see what happens. Happy New Year!! 😘😘❤️❤️
Thank you so much Pamela, I can't believe how many comments I am getting on it when I really thought it wouldn't work on me! We never learn do we? Happy New Year 🎉😊
I'm sorry your husband had covid. There has been lots of it about again. Your velvet dress is really lovely Carole. I really like your orange top and your glittery luttelo top looks gorgeous.
Hi Annette, yes it was a real shame about Christmas but Chris is fine just still coughing as you could tell from the video! So many people in my family were ill this year, maybe it was our mild December not killing off enough germs. Thanks so much for your kind comments on the orange and green tops and 🎉Happy New Year! 😊
Ah you are sooo lucky to have the Juki! I love the lutterloh green blouse and Jen did a lovely job on your sweet gift.🎉 have a wonderful yime with Chloe. We are about to Celebrate my Grandson’s bday on the 1st. We will probably do a bonfire and cookout with fireworks. Hope Chris is on the mend. Miss you guys! Cant wait to see you soon!!!❤❤❤ love u!
I do feel lucky Trish and so far I am so happy with the Juki. It just feels so solid and trustworthy 🤣. Enjoy your birthday celebration, a cookout and fireworks evening sounds amazing! Chris is fine just a lingering cough, he'll survive! Miss you so much but hopefully catch up with you in 3 months 👏🏼❤️. Happy new year and Many happy returns to your Grandson! Xxx
Oh wow! You have a family of Jukis. This is the first one I have but I do have a Babylock serger and coverstitch which I love. Happy New year and thanks for taking the time to comment 🎉😊
Hi Carole! I've risen from the dead.😅😅😅. Jen sent you some beautiful gifts. I love the bowl cozies, too. What a cool machine. I can't wait to what you think of it for garment swing. 😅
Hi Zelda, how are you doing? I did get some wonderful gifts didn't I, what a great sewing family we have going here 🥰. I need to start making bowl cozies, they look so fab. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year 😊🎉
Oh Diana, I have had a couple of silly moments with the machine but I am loving it! Today I swore blind I didn't get a buttonhole foot included until I discovered that there was another box under the accessories box and there is was 🤣. Thanks for watching. 🧵😊
That is so funny but I can see why you do that! We have to buy ours and they are only thicker longlife ones. I do miss those thin bags for lots of things! Thanks so much for watching and your kind comment. Happy New Year 🎉😊
Hey Carole! Enjoy your new sewing machine!!! I'm sure it was very hard to not play with it before Christmas. Could you do a tutorial on your purchasing card case? Very cool ornament from Andra!!!!!! A very special, thoughtful gift and certainly to be treasured for years to come! The Patina blouse equivalent patterns I mentioned are all out of print Simplicity patterns: S9318, S9746, and S1779. The large microwave mats/snack mats that I made as Christmas gift sets were mostly made with cotton pieces left over from making Project Dress A Girl dresses. I sewed coordinated scraps together, quilted them, then bound them. They were very well received by my neighbors (along with the coffee cakes). Nice little projects when you want something to sew that's quick and easy and a great cotton scrap buster. These projects can be set aside and come back to without any pattern pieces and such to try to keep track of. Very useful in the kitchen also. (Rectangular ones are great for kids to use under their drinks and snacks!) Two of my favorite makes of yours for 2023 were on the same video: Chris' AC/DC shirt, and your NL6216 color-blocked t-shirt. Others include your daughter’s recent NL6301 Christmas dress, both your grandsons’ very creative Snake makes (Mar. 3rd), and your granddaughter’s bride’s maid dress. You had A LOT of really great makes, but these topped my list. While some of your makes might not have been very difficult, they came out beautifully and IMO rival anything you would find in a department store. Can’t wait to see what you come up with in 2024!!! (Your grandson’s Ninja costume from 2022 was fantastic! Glad he wore it more than once and for a full day.) Happy New Year to you and may it be full of wonderful surprises and blessings for you and your whole family!!! ❤ Dori
Oh Dori, you are such an enabler!! I have just ordered S1779 as I love the look of the frilled collar. You are right, those patterns are exact copies of the Patina Blouse aren't they, fashion sure comes full circle every 10 years or so doesn't it. I am so glad everyone was pleased with all your pressies, you were just so hard working and generous before Christmas. I had forgotten so many of the garments you have mentioned, the ACDC shirt and the colour blocked T shirt (which Chris still doesn't like!). That ornament was so cool from Andra wasn't it, as you say that will be treasured for many years to come. I think I may make more of the credit card cases as they can use up the scraps and I can keep as future gifts for people so I will be happy to do a little tutorial on them. Thanks so much for being such a loyal friend and viewer in 2023, my videos wouldn't be the same without your comments on them 😘. Happiness and Health to you too in 2024, all the best xxx
Hugs to you, Carole! There is a current Butterick pattern, 6895 (sizes 8-16) and 6896 (sizes 20-28) that are also the Patina style. Credit card cases for gift giving would be great uses for your cotton pieces and would make for a good tutorial/Tuesday post. Just between you and me, I'm hoping and praying that I can make it to FL this year for the sewing expo, but will have to see what happens. Fingers crossed! I'm going to be putting my house on the market in January, so if I'm fortunate, I'll have to be there in March to find a new home. Will have to see what happens! I would love to be able to meet you and all the FL #FridaySews vloggers that I follow (and Andra, too). @@socarole66
Hi Dori, happy last day of the year! I won’t be attending the Expo this year and in a way it is very frustrating! We are all coming as a family to Florida for my daughters 30th but we come the following week!!! It is such a shame the two didn’t coincide as I won’t get to meet everyone again. It was great fun though so I really hope your move goes ahead and you manage to get there, I know everyone would be so excited to meet you. ❤️
Well, my plans are not set in stone. Attending the Expo is hopeful thinking. All will be determined by the sale of my home in San Diego and move in date in a FL home. Too many variables to possibly delay things. I'm assuming your daughter's 30th will center around going to Disney World in Orlando? 😉 Took my daughter there for her 13th birthday. Spent 3 days at different Disney parks, and one day at each of the Universal Studios parks (which, at that time, the rides were more for older kids/tweens/adults). We have a SeaWorld here in San Diego so we skipped that park. My daughter didn't want to go to visit any space-related places on the east coast. That was my only trip to FL. I have a friend and her husband who live in Melbourne, about 20 miles south of Cocoa, FL. My plan is to find a home between Cocoa and Palm Bay. Have a very happy new year! I got a new year greeting from Sew.Debbie on Instagram this morning. Was such a nice surprise! Cheers, Dori @@socarole66
Thank you Carole for the mention. We must be on the same wavelength as I also have made-up an orange fabric sweatshirt and have been working on little side projects using up scraps. Happy 2024. X
Well I have to say, it was after you showed your orange MyFabrics delivery that I thought I'd sew up my orange as I really wasn't sure on it. I loved yours so much! How strange about the scraps but maybe we are all feeling the same going into the New Year! Thanks for watching and I'm pleased I found another UK channel showing the Big 4, as I said to you we are definitely in the minority 🤣. Happy New Year to you too 😊🎉
Sorry to hear your husband had covid over Christmas, my husband and I have also had it so our Christmas was cancelled also. What lovely gifts you’ve received. Wishing you and your family all the best for the new year xx
Oh no Sandra! I am so sorry to hear that. It is such a shame as we put so much emphasis on those two days don't we and so many people seem to be ill around then. I hope perhaps you can make up for it when you feel better. Thanks so much for your lovely comments and Happy (and healthy)New Year 🎉😊
Carole, you made out like a bandit! So many wonderful gifts! I’m envious of your new machine, you will love it. I have a TL that I use all the time, it’s a straight stitch machine, but the foot pedal is the same. I love that machine. Once you get used to it, you won’t want to use any other machine. That orange color looks great on you! You can wear so many different colors with your coloring. That red is gorgeous also. So sorry that your husband is still feeling poorly with that cough. Hopefully he will be over it soon. Have a Happy New Year!
Sue, I love that saying, I have never heard 'made out like a bandit' before 🤣. I am already getting used to the foot pedal which I can't believe, I have set it to do snips. Thanks so much on your kind comments about the red and orange, why don't I wear more bright solids I ask myself?! Hubby is ok thanks, he just has an annoying cough which he always gets after a cold but don't get me started on the snoring 🤣🙉. Happy New Year to you and thanks so much for watching me in 2023. 🎉😊
Happy New year Carole! What lovely sewing gifts!I agree with everyone else that orange looks great on you and the red velvet looks beautiful on you and your daughter! Hope your husband is on the mend! Congrats on the new machine- so glad you finally got to open it! I recently got my first Janome (someday I’ll spring for a Juki….) and I love it! Having the right tools definitely makes sewing more fun! Wishing you good health and happiness as well! ❤-Mary
Hello Mary and a Happy New Year to you too!! Hubby is on the mend thank you so much, he just has to get rid of that cough! I am so excited about my machine and am learning new things every day with it. I am so pleased to hear you are getting on well with your Janome, I got a bad one I think when I bought mine 3 years ago but I did get it in Covid times when you couldn't even see it in a shop and they elevated the prices so much. I will happily keep it as a spare or give to Katie I think. Health and happiness to you too that's all we need isn't it......oh and maybe a sewing machine! 😊🧡
Oh you got spoiled for Christmas! You’re going to love the Juki I think. You know I absolutely love mine. I think the orange top looks really good on you. I need to get one of those round template thingy! I also scramble to find plates, glasses, jars, etc when I need to trace circles. 😂 I hope you have a fabulous weekend and Happy New Year to you and the whole family! May 2024 bring you all health, joy and love! Xx 💞
Hi Izzy! I did get spoilt but don't worry, Chris needed a new drum kit so was more than happy to spend the equivalent on me 🤣. So far so good with the machine. My old Janome was nothing but trouble from the beginning. I'm so happy with the circle templates and now need to find a pattern to use them. Sorry sellotape rolls and mugs, you will be made redundant 🤣. Hope you have a good weekend too and Happy 2024 🎉😘
Congratulations on your new Juki. I'm sure you will have mastered it in no time. I love the top you are wearing. The color is a good one for you. Look forward to watching the Lutterloh top vlog. Hope Chris is back to normal and that no one else in your family contracts Covid. I look forward to watching your 2024 vlogs. HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉
Hi Carol, I think perhaps the Covid came from me funnily enough as I had copycat symptoms for two weeks just before him, so did my daughter and her hubby....oops!! He is fine now though, just a bit of coughing. I was pleased with the green top....sort of. I will put the video out early next week as I just need to piece it all together. Thanks so much for your kind comments on my channel and Happy New Year to you too🎉😊
Happy and healthy new year to you and your family too, Carole. Loved your matching red velvet dresses. Beautiful. I’ll be very interested in your scrap busting sewing plans. I’ve been sorting through just ‘some’ of mine today. There are a lot! But they do bring back happy memories of what I used the fabrics for… although I seem to remember years ago actually buying some bags of fabric scraps as I didn’t have any! How quickly that changed! 🤣🤣
Thanks so much Jan and thank you for being so loyal to my channel in 2023. It was so nice to have a matching coloured dress with Katie but I think I actually preferred hers in shape in the end. I made last night another of Adam's pouches using bits and bobs of the scraps, it wasn't very good but it worked well and like you say, it is like little pieces of history isn't it. Buying a bag of scraps is something I can see you made need when you start to sew but that doesn't last long does it 😆. Thanks again and Happy New Year 🎉😊
What a lovely surprise all those goodies from Florida 🙂 enjoy your new machine. I must get a pattern for the bowl cozy, I have made 8 of the tissue cases got into a role 🥰
Thanks Sandra, I cannot believe you have made so many of those tissue cases but I also made quite a few as like you say, you kind of get on a role with something don't you! They were marvellous presents weren't they, what generous people there are in the world 😊. Like you, I must get a bowl cosy pattern. Happy New Year and thanks so much for watching and always chatting with me 🎉😊
I have been waiting for the machine reveal! Charlie is also a cold chocolate eater for the same reason. My sister gave me a box of special handmade chocolates and Charlie put them straight in the fridge. What a cute ornament from Andra! So thoughtful. I love your orange top. I noticed it immediately when your video started and I think it is fab. That pattern does suit you well. Happy new year!
Hi Christine, I do hope you enjoyed your Christmas even though yours didn't go as planned either. Well done Charlie for agreeing with me on the Chocolate! I can't believe the love for my orange top, I so nearly gave that fabric away🧡🤣. Happy New Year 🎉😊x
Carol; I’m new to sewing but have the Brother M380D…. I need to ask you why you needed a new machine? Please don’t hold back in your rationale for choosing another machine as I’m happy to learn all the pro’s & cons.
Hi there, first of all thanks so much for watching and your comment. I never clarified why I'm getting another machine which I really should have. This machine is replacing a Janome I bought in 2020! I did have another Janome which I had for 30 years which was fabulous but I wanted more from a machine. It was the year I ended up sewing day after day making scrubs so I decided to upgrade. I made a bad decision in the new machine and because it was Covid times you couldn't see any machines and all the prices were inflated if you remember. I have had nothing but trouble with it so decided to change it again but donate it to my daughter 🤣. I absolutely love my Brother machine but I keep it for embroidery. It was when I used that machine for normal sewing I realised just how bad my Janome was. Talking to Sewing shops my choice was a bad one as Janomes are now very cheaply made but they raved about the Brother so don't worry about your purchase! I hope that answers your question. Please don't think I am a machine snob, I also have a really basic Brother machine which is wonderful and luckily i kept my old Janome as a spare. Thanks again.
Happy sewing with your lovely new machine. I really like the colour of your top and think it will look great with lots in your wardrobe. It's good to go out of our comfort zone sometimes 😅
Hi Anne, thanks so much for your kind comments. I can't believe how many people have said nice things about the orange top! I wear jeans and navy a lot so it is perfect for that, maybe I need more orange in my life. As you say, it is only by going outside our comfort zone do we discover new things 🤣.🎉Happy New Year! 😊
Thanks Theresa, I am sort of happy with the green top but maybe my pattern choice wasn't quite right. I will pop the video out early next week. Thanks and 🎉Happy New Year! 😊
Hello Faye! Oh my goodness it is so lovely to hear from you. I do hope you had a good Christmas and you were spoilt by your lovely daughter😉. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and also your kind comment on the orange fabric, I can't believe I nearly donated that piece! Best wishes to you and a Happy New Year 🎉😊xx
Such fab gifts! I’m so glad you got to play with your Juki eventually! It must have been hell keeping it boxed up hehe. I love that orange Tee! Orange is my favourite colour, that shade looks fab on you! ❤
Thanks Adam, that ornament was brilliant wasn't it! I had that Juki so long I even had forgotten we bought it 😆. I can't believe the love I am getting for the orange t shirt, I am not meant to be able to wear that colour! Thanks for watching and 🎉Happy New Year! 😊xxxx
Thanks Claire, Adam so wanted me to choose a Bernina but I just can't do that front loading bobbin shenanigans 😆. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to you too, hope we can meet more often in 2024. 😘🎉
Love the orange topI think the colour suits you. Your new Juki looks fantastic enjoy. You mentioned ordering new fabrics from Germany from My Fabrics do you have more details please. Happy New Year and best wishes for 2024.❤
Hi Stella, so sorry I normally put links in the description box for things I mention but forgot My fabrics. I will add it now. Thanks so much for your kind comments on my top and Happy New Year 😊🎉
Ohhhh Carole I was wondering which machine you had purchased and hoped I hadn’t missed your vlog on the reveal. I was also wishing you to get a Juki simply because I’ve recently purchased the DX7, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I programmed my foot pedal to do thread snips, and mine also came with a knee lift which I thought I would never use. However, I find I use it a lot for the occasions when you need third hand to lift your foot for a bit of fabric wiggling. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine. Am loving the tshirt and I hadn’t noticed then sleeves stripes weren’t lined up, I think it really doesn’t matter, only you noticed this (and now everyone you’ve confessed to 😂). Anyway thanks for your 2023 vlogs. I’m looking forward to 2024 season. Hope you have a great New Year and happy sewing.
Oh my word! You have bought a Juki recently too? I was told as I am not a quilter then the DX5 would be ok for me and I am so happy so far. Like you, I have programmed the foot pedal to snip and I can honestly say after only 2 days I wouldn't want to be without it! I had a knee lift on my old Janome but the only time I used it was to make that Jigsaw quilt for the baby. Thanks so much for watching and being loyal to my channel. 🎉Happy New Year! 😊xx
Hi Suzanne, have you got any snow yet? Thanks so much for watching and the kind comment on the orange top. I have had my colours done but way back in 1980! I am a Winter and orange doesn't feature anywhere near the colours I am meant to wear 😆, maybe as we get older we change? 🎉Happy New Year! 😊
@socarole66 Carol, no snow yet here in the mountains of North Carolina. That's OK with me.... I prefer to play golf instead of shoveling snow. I did way too much of that when I was in my other life in Maine. I see that you had a very nice Christmas. Happy New Year to you as well. Suzanne
@@houseinnorthcarolina9439 no snow isn't great if you like golfing I agree! I can imagine your Winters are very different in NC to Maine although I think they have had mild weather as well so far? Thanks for updating me anyway and keep up the golf 🏌️♀️

Thanks so much for watching and Happy New Year 🎉😊
I for one am looking forward to the Lutterloh video! Can't wait
Thank you Nancy, I will put it out on Monday evening, I had lots of bits to edit together 🤣. Happy New Year! 😊🎉
Happy New Year to you too 🎉😊
It's always exciting to get a new machine! Happy New Year, Carole! ~Nancy
It is indeed to have a new sewing machine but a little stressful in the beginning! Thanks so much for watching and Happy New Year🎉😊
I like the orange top; it looks good on camera. I enjoy a variety of colors in my wardrobe. Have fun with your new machine!!! 😊-Deborah
The dx5 is an amazing machine you will love it 💗🇦🇺
Thank you so much!
The orange top looks great on you. Have fun with your new sewing machine!
Along with all the others I think that color looks so good on you! Happy New Year!!
Thank you so much! I obviously have been missing orange in my wardrobe 🤣. Happy New Year to you too 😊🎉
Ah you are sooo lucky to have the Juki!
Xxx
Thanks for past year of vlogs. Happy new year enjoy your new machine. x
Oh thank you so much for watching them and taking the time to comment! I really appreciate it. Happy New Year 🎉😊
Another interesting vlog. Wishing you too a happy, wealthy and healthy 2024.
Thank you very much Ann for your loyalty to my channel and for always being so kind. Happy New Year 🎉😊
Love Juki’s! I’ve got there machines, serger and cover stitch that are all Juki’s.
Thanks for watching and Happy New Year 😊🎉
I have the same machine, and I love it. Enjoy
Oh Diana, I have had a couple of silly moments with the machine but I am loving it! Today I swore blind I didn't get a buttonhole foot included until I discovered that there was another box under the accessories box and there is was 🤣. Thanks for watching. 🧵😊
Carole I ask family to send plastic bags when sending gifts. I am in Colorado plastic bags cost here. Love everything you share. Happy NewYear🎉
Cheers, Dori
@@socarole66
Happy New Year to you too 😊🎉
Happy new year to you and yours Xx
Thank you very much! Wishing you much happiness in 2024 too 🎉😊
Sorry to hear your husband had covid over Christmas, my husband and I have also had it so our Christmas was cancelled also.
That orange colour REALLY suits you! Seriously.
Thanks Carol, I can't believe how many people are saying that! Why have I never worn orange before 😆. Thanks for your comment and 🎉Happy New Year! 😊
I got the dx7 a couple of months ago, no regrets it's fabulous
That is amazing to know Dawn thank you, Jukis do seem to be really popular. Happy New Year! 🎉😊
Your orange Tee looks great on you 😊
Thank you very much indeed Louise, I can't believe how many people agree with you! Why have I never worn orange before 😆 Happy New Year 🎉😊
Happy sewing with your lovely new machine.
Really looking forward to your video on the lovely green top. It surely is lovely.
Thanks Theresa, I am sort of happy with the green top but maybe my pattern choice wasn't quite right. I will pop the video out early next week. Thanks and 🎉Happy New Year! 😊
Happy New year to you as well Carole!🥰🥰🥰🥰@@socarole66
Your orange top looks great on you! Trish s Mom, Faye
😊xxxx
The new machine looks amazing!!! And some lovely new makes. Happy New Year x
Thanks Claire, Adam so wanted me to choose a Bernina but I just can't do that front loading bobbin shenanigans 😆. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to you too, hope we can meet more often in 2024. 😘🎉
@@socarole66 I would love that Carole. Adam does love his Bernina, but a machine does have to work for you x
Thanks so much for your kind comments on my top and Happy New Year 😊🎉
Another great video Carol. Thank you. Happy new year.
Thanks Marilyn and a very Happy New Year to you too 🎉😊
Ohhhh Carole I was wondering which machine you had purchased and hoped I hadn’t missed your vlog on the reveal.
😊xx
Carol, I like that shirt you are wearing. It's a good color on you. Have you had your colors done?
Suzanne e
