  • This is a vehicle manufactured in Iran by the Iran Khodro Corporation which is the largest manufacturer of Vehicles in the middle East.
    It is one very advanced Vehicle and is very suitable to be used as a family car.
    The capabilities are outstanding. It is also a proud moment for them to produce such a car after all the severe sanctions that have been imposed on the country.

    Honestly it takes a lot for a country to produce their own cars it might be a reversed engineered French car but still, it's quite impressive that a heavily sanctioned country like Iran can still keep up production

    I am British, but I drove a Peugeot 301 in Corfu, it was an excellent basic car. Its a shame Iran dont make a version of the Peugeot DV6 8 valve diesel. The IKCO Tara seems like a more luxurious version of 301, with maybe some extra improvements.
    Its also a shame that such simple new cars are becoming rare in the "developed first world". Many normal British people would be better off with these simple cars instead of electric rubbish or over complicated models with stupid screens in them. Peugeot do not sell the 301 in Britain or even France, they only sell stuff that is over complicated and fails frequently.
    The TU5 engine is a tried and tested design, the Iranians have upgraded it with CVVT and the automatic 6 speed transmission is an Aisin model. Aisin usually make the best strongest automatic gearboxes in the world.

      Nice comment, you have been saying what I have been thinking, that the first world os absolutely lacking in cheap cars. My theories are:
      . Excessive regulations of safety and efficiency
      . Labour costs
      . Car cartel (companies agree not to sell cheap cars with low profit margins, so they don't tear each other apart in such unprofitable competition)
      . Lack of flexibility in car supply because of restrictions upon importing cars from third world countries

    This is excellent considering the car is, from start to finish, an Iranian manufactured product - A credit very few countries can claim.

    It's a Peugeot 301 with a 20+ years' engine. With or without JCPoA, Iran depends on France

      peugeot itself still uses the same 20+ year old engine, its still using it on the Peugeot 2008.
      also, what’s wrong with it anyways? they fully upgraded the engine up to modern standards, it has 105 HP which is very enough for city use, and it can pass Euro 5 emissions.

      How many countries do you think produce their own cars?

    • @samjam6989
      @samjam6989 Год назад

      @@sammywellington4513 they produce but use technology from 1950s and very poor quality. They still produce peykans and peugeots with same interior as 20 years ago. Its good that they produce but they havent improved at all which is disappointing and they do export to some countries that are 3rd world and buy it for cheap. They wouldnt be able to export their cars to any western countries since no one would buy them. Even Chinese cars that are trying to sell to western countries have a tough time competing with Japanese, Korean, American and European cars. At the end of the day not every country wants to compete for the lower niche market for cars, because they cant compete with the giants.

      @@sammywellington4513 Also car manufacturing, producing poor quality cars isnt that great of an achievement to be praised am sure lots of other countries that dont manufacture their own brand cars, if they were to enter the auto industry, could easily match and surpass the quality of iranian car brands. Again they dont manufacture because its not profiteable to sell to somalia, venezuela, etc. 😅

You made some weird arrogant statement, which lead me to think that you know nothing about how a economy operates, and what it takes to build a car. You went in to some weird rant about producing cars using 1950's technology? What exactly is 1950 technology?

    • @sammywellington4513
      @sammywellington4513 Год назад +3

      @@samjam6989 It sounds like you are mixing up economic indicators and your own hypothetical scenario's. What do you mean im sure a lot of other countries manufacture their own cars? No they dont. Manufactoring a car can not be done with 1950's technology as you falsely indicated earlier. Its a very complicated technological achievement that requires a lot of parts, skill, and know how. Its a indicator of a advanced economy.
