      @@unomaster6828 I don't agree with that. Celine Dion had the most emotional voice in my view, the one with the most emotional delivery. I would say Whitney Houston's voice was infused with pure drama. Her voice was Dramatic. Just incredible.

    • @prabhuthomas8770
      @prabhuthomas8770 4 года назад +3

      @joashscottofficialAbsolutely drama is emotional. Celine Dion has a nasal sounding voice especially in the 2010s decade. But she does that on purpose most of the time to protect her voice. But if you think Whitney Houston's voice does not have serious weaknesses post-1993 then please open your ears; her range was poor and that glorious tone she had in the 80s was practically lost, and there is more.
      But back to the point, I was just suggesting one way Whitney's voice delivered emotions - through drama. But I find Celine Dion's interpretations through her songs to have much more subject matter and emotional range and diversity; she sings not just about romantic love, but family love, motherhood, new-age spirituality, the pursuit of youth, friendships between men and women, there is just so much. Don't overlook her French discography, it is very rich, pure musical art often. I guess we will disagree, we both have our favourites. But I will leave you with this. Whitney will always be Babyface's favourite singer. He loves her... understandably. But Babyface has worked with Celine Dion also, and in his own words he said that no other singer he knows is so perfect when it comes to tuning of the voice, and rhythm of the voice and emotional richness in the voice. Babyface is just one producer/songwriter on the long list (including David Foster) who loves Whitney and Celine both, deeply and equally for different reasons.
      Hope you're doing well through this public health crisis.

    How can you be so beautiful and so talented at the same time. For me she is a gem. Someone said that Whitney's voice was like the sound of a Stradivarius, she had it all, her tone is something unique. That's why she's called THE VOICE.

    Her head voice is flawless. Her agility is so underrated. Same with her low notes, her projection down there is actually really nice.

    Whitney practically owns the 4th and 5th octaves. She's easily one of the best belters up to E5/F5; and clearly has one of the best head voices up to A5/B5 [occasionally C6]. Not to mention her dynamic control and warm, velvety timbre.

    *Whitney "The Voice" Houston* 👑
    Absolutely *LEGENDARY!* 🏆
    *P.S.* I thought she was the most appreciated member of *The Vocal Trinity* ✨
    When she was alive, she received a lot of flack for her vocal decline, like Mariah has been getting; but the latter has gotten it worse due to the performances being shown in this era when social media is so prevalent. When she tragically passed away it was essentially adoration across the board. In the Vocal Community on RUclips I've noticed that Mariah is getting more respect yet Celine is being relegated; with the masses it's the other way around.

      GarageStudio Couldn't have said it better myself. I feel like we should separate the general public vs youtube/ twitter vocal community when we talk about this "not appreciated enough" sentiment.
      Because Celine is massively appreciated by the GP while Mariah isn't at all. Whitney used to get a lot of flack too from the GP for her tour vocals but that went away when she sadly passed away.

    Her voice was developed and fully coordinated.
    Huge head voice and huge chest voice. Her head voice was vast in range. 2 octaves! THe national anthem is good example of her lower head voice and how effortless she could sing down there.
    Also,She was a fearless belter. Many live and studio performances prove that the woman had it all. Power, elasticity, agility, perfect diction etc her G4 was as big as her G5.
    Her sense of ornamentation was truly divine. The most complex fioritura in full voice. Hard to do such a thing. From her climatic upward scales to her portati to her staccati to her staccatissimi! She was a beast. Her volume control was simply MASSIVE. The most difficult feats executed masterful and to the service of music. Her improvisational skills also exemplary.
    Well, so many things I could say, but it will take time.

    I'm glad you added her D5 belt from Cinderella. Her voice was so unbelievably rich when she recorded it... that might be my favorite Whitney belt of all time. Also, I think you should try and include more of her singing 1993-1996. Her tone was incredibly good then, probably the best of her career. Listen to her sing Revelation live in Brazil. Talk about musicianship!

      Like people just saw her as a great voice. But don't seen to border with interrupting her with what ever she is doing for an autograph or pictures on every given moment. Or asked about embarising private thinks on camera. The lack of respect and boundaries was not as you should aspect for some one who's so highly appreciated. If that's the way a legacy get treated. I'm glad I can't sing. And now after she is gone the so called respect gets even "worse". Because there is no one to really have to give it to. One good thing. Now we have a woman like Jezus.

In addition, a lot of people also claim that she does not have agility at all, which is funny because nothing could be further from the truth. I have seen a video showcasing the Trinity's agility and Celine really surprised me in that video, but sadly the video is nowhere to be found now.

      Yikes. If anything shes the most overrated. Whitney get enough credits for her voice, while celine is the most discredited for her voice while she and Whitney are consistent with their live performances, while mariah’s live isn’t as good as her studio recording. Considering up until now celine preserved her voice the most compared to the trinity despite people ridiculing her vocal technique.

    Whitney is in a class by herself....she stands alone.
    Here's the thing, each artist is different and people are so big into comparing artist. How can you compare artist who are so uniquely different, that makes no sense to me. Just enjoy the gifts that each artist has and embrace them for who they are. I love all vocal talents...however Whitney was different she was the gold standard of singers, (she was who singers inspire to be). Whitney said it best:"There will never be another Aretha, there will never be another Barbara, There won't be another me." Whitney was a one off, we will never ever see another in our lifetime. The world is full of great singers/artist....however Whitney was different/special God gave her something a little more special in her arsenal ❤ and it made her the best vocalist ever to grace the mic. (In my opinion)...not taking anything away from any other artists. Whitney was simply the best....period! Is she appreciated enough.. If people would just appreciate her vocal gift/talent and let the drugs, that ex of hers, and family issues go...and just appreciate her vocal attributes and embrace her legacy....then yes. But, in this world people love to try and destroy people because of mistakes that were made. Trust and believe we all have had issues and have acted badly at times. So let's just move on and continue to appreciate her voice...The Voice, because we won't see another like Whitney Elizabeth Houston!!! 💜💜💜

      But melodically Mariah outshines Whitney, she writes her own music and her ballads in her prime we’re insanely hard to sing. Also Mariah in her prime has always improved her song to make them harder.

    • @Matt-su5fy
      @Matt-su5fy 4 года назад +15

      I’m Nothing being a songwriter doesn’t make you a better singer. Dionne, Aretha, Barbra and Roberta Flack in their prime during the 70s all sing circles around Mariah even in bad voice days and didn’t exactly write. Also, Mariah made no song harder live. She always tried to replicate the record and succeeded a number of times. If we’re talking songwriting she might just be the most talented songwriter-vocalist ever, but she ain’t the best singer until she can put on more than a three song set live and make you forget her studio records
