Love your tips!! I just ended my 21 month long journey😅, so here are some tips that she hasnt mentioned and some to add to what she said. When I first started, my daughter didnt have a good latch, it would HURT and I would cry my eyes out. I was bleeding and she was upset because I would literally cringe everytime. Luckily the nurse at the hospital introduced me to nipple guards that help the baby with latching. So look into it if you have problems with a small mouthed baby. She eventually learned how to nurse without it. When you are feeding on one breast, the other breast usually leaks as well, instead of having a pad catch the milk, have a hakka instead!!! It literally saved 5 oz of breastmilk instead of going into the pad. DRINK THAT WATER. meanwhile I was nursing, i would get PARCHED, SO THIRSTY, so have a big pitcher of water next to you. For me, I would be very hungry as if I was pregnant still. I would eat a lot, but my baby nursed A LOT. when engorged, you can pump but only unti you have some relief so then you dont experience oversupply. The ice packs I believe can also be microwaved so you can use it to also relieve some milk out as well. If you dont have access to getting nipple cream, a natural and my preferred method was expressing breastmilk and rubbing it over my nipples. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. Also breastmilk helps heal cuts and scratches on babies skin too. Thanks for making this video!
@Cassandra Izquierdo thanks so much for extra advice this is my second child but my first time with a healthy baby girl who won't be in the NICU so I will be able to breastfeed and not have to worry about a gtube
Girl you deserve that award for showering and putting makeup on during quarantine with a newborn! I was not able to breastfeed but am always so happy to hear about other new mother's journeys! ❤ Edit: even if you bottle feed the pillow tip is SO ACCURATE! My daughter is almost 15 months old and is down to 2 bottles of whole milk a day and I still use a pillow to rest my arm on!
Another tip for knowing which breast to start with from your last feeding is wearing a bracelet and changing it to the side you nursed last on. My first baby (16 years ago) I had a sheet of paper that I took everywhere that I kept track of when, how long and which sides, my second baby (11 years ago) I did the bracelet thing and wasn't worried about when and how I just nursed on demand.
Yessss. Laying down feeding is THE BEST position for night time feeds. And when they get older. You just pop out the book and the baby automatically finds the nipple. You don't even do anything. Its amazing.
I can't believe how beautifully and wonderfully you've evolved. I've been a following you for years. You are even more beautiful now that you're a mama. Sending loads of love from Africa. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Newborns are no joke, right? It’s amazing how such a tiny person takes over EVERYTHING! It’s interesting how experiences differ. When I had my baby a few years ago, they had me breastfeed my newborn before I’d even left the labor room!
Thank you for this.... first time mommy and im due in a few weeks... every tips I see on breastfeeding make it sound soo scary... but your tips really narrow it down. I know for every mommy its different but having some positive tips is really soothing 😅
I've learned more here than I did my first time breastfeeding. I remember in the hospital I was trying but was crying and screaming in pain and I was just so overwhelmed, the nurses just kept pressuring me. Thank you for making this video. This will really help me now since I'm on my second pregnancy 💜
Girl, I'm loving the fact that you're whispering Alexa 😂 I'm 37 weeks with mine and hubs rainbow baby girl and your videos have helped me alot. I don't know how I stumbled upon you but I'm glad I did. Your postpartum care tips are so helpful as well.
You are really giving me all the info and TMIs and overall preparedness for having children ! These videos have been so detailed and helpful and so much more than what people normally share . Who needs google when we have Bianca and Royce 💕💕💪🏽
RnB Fam I’m a new subscriber so I’m going to go watch it but it definitely creeps me out when my Alexa turns on from a video or commercial. You have a wonderful personality though so I’ll be looking forward to your content 💕
I watch this as I'm breastfeeding my 1 1/2 month old 😂 I appreciate your comment at the beginning about not feeling bad if you can't breastfeed for some reason. You definitely need to prepare for the possibility. I'm exclusively breastfeeding now, but when my daughter was born, my milk took about a week to come in. My daughter was both jaundice and had lost too much of her birth weight. In order to get rid of the jaundice, we had to supplement with formula. For the first day or so, it made me feel like a failure. Then I had a nurse who specializes in lactation talk to be and tell that it's normal, especially for first time mom's who end up having a c section. And, as you said, a fed baby is better than nothing. In my case, I started pumping right away to help encourage my milk to come in. But I was able to exclusively breastfeed by the end of the first week.
Oh wow! Experiences are really different. I had c sections and breastfed in recovery or even while surgery was finishing every time 😱 I also had a really hard time for the first few months with all of my kids but was super determined and managed to power through all the issues. It’s hard being a mom and trying to choose what’s best for your baby. Thankful we have so many ways to keep our baby’s full and healthy.
Spot on! Congratulations on getting this far because it definitely has its challenges. I nursed my first child for only 3 months but my second child for 13 months and that was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life LOL. Another thing they don’t tell you is how emotional the whole thing is. It helps you bond with your baby like nothing else. I really did not want it to end either time.
Love this tips, so glad you created this channel, as a first time mom I appreciate very much you channel, my baby is four months and sometimes I get a little frustrated cuz I don’t know if I’m doing it correctly. So thank you so much for what you do.
Thank you so much for this video!! I’m 18 weeks pregnant now and am hoping I will be able to breastfeed!! I really struggled with my first child (I was only 20yrs old and had very little support).
This was great video. I'm expecting my 2nd baby but I needed some refreshing on breastfeeding as it's been almost TEN YEARS since I had my son. Great tips! I'm browsing through all of your videos just refreshing my memory. Thanks for your help!
I'm due in November and I have no idea really what to expect. I appreciate you doing these videos, I feel kinda embarrassed that I don't know these things by now.
@@Quitee717 Yes actually my breast are killing me they not just painful but they feel like a open wound that is burning but I'm glad it's happens from time to time I can't take its anymore Lol are you planning on breastfeeding
I’m 36 weeks. This was indeed helpful for me. I haven’t put any pressure on myself to breastfeed but I’d like to bring on the guns like you. 😂 All in thanks for the tips
One way to start a stash of milk too for going back to work. After a month you can start pumping for 5-7 minutes after you feed your baby so that you create a little extra. And keep doing that. You should have enough for when you go back to work
Love love your videos! I’m 2 weeks away from my due date but I’m feeling like I can pop at anytime now. I’m having a boy and I can’t stop thinking about how the healing process of his circumcision will be like and how I can make sure he will not get any infections. Any tips? I would love to watch a video about it!
I watched this while i pumped 🙆🏽♀️ my baby is 5 months and ill give you a tip! Never stop giving a bottle to your baby! Give your baby a bottle every day! During quarantine i was home so i didnt need to pump or give my baby pumped milk from a bottle. And when it was time for me to give her a bottle because i had to go to the grocery...🤦🏽♀️ it was a nightmare!!!! I had to get new bottles all together because my supply was dropping, she was growing, and i couldn’t keep up. And she didnt want the supplemental bottle. So never stop giving the bottle! You started early which is great! I wish i didnt stop! And also leave your baby with someone other than you! My baby is having attachment anxiety right now
Breastfeeding does hurt! My 1st latched on so well & the specialist that came to my house said she couldn’t believe how fast my daughter caught on... meanwhile I’m crying because of the pain! I tried for a week but gave up because of it. I’m ganna try my hardest with this boy tho! I really want to experience it as I see others! It’s so painful at first so I just need to get through it! 💙💙💙 Maybe it was because I was so engorged at 1st?? Idk but I’m saving this video to rewatch in September! Can’t wait for your next video!
Milk catchers will save you so many nursing pads and wet shirts! Plus you’ll be able to save up milk that way instead of having to pump. Amazon has them for $15. Best breastfeeding purchase I’ve made!
You look so great today. I'm a FTM due in October and told my partner after delivery if I stink to let me know lol. This video was so helpful. And so are your other videos.
i know someone who had SO MUCH milk, she donate it to the NICU on top of feeding her own. one nurse commented that she gave enough to feed 3 preemies, and could probably handle triplets with her milk supply. but because she had so much, weaning was hell for her.
I’m glad I ran across this channel. I’m 6 months pregnant with my second baby and I really want to bf. I tried with my son but it was so hard and I gave up. So hopefully I can stick to it this time.
I really want to have a baby in a couple of years. Watching this videos help me know what I am getting into and be prepared for it, also I think it's pretty cool to learn all of this. Thank you for your videos! Also, love your hair! :)

Omg I love all your videos I’m not a first time mom but it’s baby number three and I have not had a baby In 8 yrs and I didn’t realize how much of this stuff I forgot our IVF cycle starts next month and we are super excited. Congrats luv ❤️🥰

The side position for breastfeeding was invented by HEAVEN for the love of Mamas!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼😅😅😅. But it may take a couple of months for the baby to get used to drinking in that way. But after that... 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 best position evaahh!! Especially for nighttime as Bianca said!! For me I didn’t had a breastfeeding pillow for my first one and I did for my second one and it made it sooooo much better. I paired it with a back pillow because I get really bad back pains (with or without babies) and it worked like a charm 👌🏼👌🏼 But to each its own.
Thanks so much for this video, so educating. I am a first time mom and my baby is 4 day old today. I have inverted nipple and am finding it very very hard to breast feed and so my baby has small mouth. Please what do I do
I love your videos! I am currently 36 weeks and have watched all your pregnancy & pp vids and find them super informative. Can you PLS do a pumping vid next?? 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I only have one child and he is 7. So its been a long time since I have thought of any of this. But I have watched just about all of your videos and my husband is always like what are you watching?! Ha ha I now send your videos to my friend because your videos are awesome and engaging. 🖤♥️💛
I've watched this video a couple of times and always forget to let you know about the haakaa. Not sure if you have heard of it or have one but it is a life saver for catching milk from the breast your little one isn't drinking from. I hated the pads! They would make me break out. The haakaa helps you empty out one breast while your son empties the other..and you can use it for a freezer stash!
Binge watching your videos as I’m due in 2 weeks! Your videos are so entertaining, I laugh out loud all the time 😂 Can you do that pumping 101 video, please? 😊
I seen that headboard/bed on Wayfair I was going to buy it but doubt myself ordering online can you make a video showing the headboard & reviewing it...thank you I'm pregnant & watching all your videos very helpful...
Can you please do a video on postpardum hair shedding. Your hair looks amazing & thick. Wondering if you had it or not or if you are doing something to prevent it. Thanks!
I just had my baby 5/19/20 but because I wasn't producing enough milk I had to start her off on soy-base formula(she dont handle dairy well) . I finally got my milk 5/23/20 but I don't have lot in my breast maybe 3oz at the most.
Milk supply issues suck! I pump after every feed pretty much because my supply has been shrinking and if I don't pump like crazy I am afraid it will dwindle into oblivion. 15 minutes each time even if all that comes out are a few drops
Ask me why I'm back watching 😂... , I'm not breastfeeding and Im not pregnant and I don't have a baby . Your vids are addictive ❤️
🤣🤣🤣 we love that you’re here thoooo! 🤷🏽♀️🥰❤️
I am so happy the day I found your RUclips chan, I really love your videos ❤️

Thank you! I love your videos...also, I love your pineapple lamps in the background! :)
These videos are always extremely informative - thank you!
Bianca! These are great baby shower gifts! I’m going back to your postpartum video to get ideas for my friend!
I love this!! I'm 'bouta be a new momma and your videos are spot on, so informational and entertaining🖤
Thank you for info can't wait to see the pumps video . I'm so torn between pumps
Love these videos! First time mom due in November and these are so helpful
I just said the same thing. I’m due October
Binge watching your videos as I’m due in 2 weeks! Your videos are so entertaining, I laugh out loud all the time 😂
Can you do that pumping 101 video, please? 😊
🤚🏾😯✋🏾 “Alexa” 😂😂😂 the way you whisper to not say it loud
meanwhile Alexa in the back 👂🏾👀
😂😂
Your videos have been the most helpful to me out of any that I have watched. Due in November :)
I love your videos! I’m due in October with a son as well.
