    This was the 1st item i bought for my rv 5 years ago and its been great, they also make cut to fit window covers that use suction cups to attach to the outside of your rv.. btw your awning has adjustable height on the arms, i was able to lower mine and easily attach the screen just standing on the ground

    • @DownsizingMakesCents
      @DownsizingMakesCents  2 года назад +1

      Thanks. Larry adjusted the arm so it’s sloped to one side so rain drains off. But I’m fine with unzipping it the way it is- our site has a slight slope on the side which makes the awning seem higher.
      I’ll look into the suction cup window covers. Too bad we don’t have a second awning- that would really help 🤗

    Good day Guys; great review! We have had our ez blocker for quite a few years and it is still in great condition. We also got 1 end /side blocker. Put the connections on rv on both ends so we can choose which side we want to block. I would like to get a second. We don’t just use for shade; it also does a good job avoiding bugs. We live in Alberta Canada where it isn’t not windy often. L0L Always always use tie downs in Alberta! We use tie downs even when we use the ez blocker.
    If you are in the area; be certain to look around to see if anyone is using their awning. Wind shears are hard on awnings! Thanks again for another great video!

    • @DownsizingMakesCents
      @DownsizingMakesCents  2 года назад

      Thank you. Hope this helps others decide if it’s right for them - whatever brand.
      I’d like to try the sides, too, to help with bugs. Good to hear it helps. Maybe that will be our next purchase.
      The awning being ripped off due to wind is definitely one of my fears.
      We spent the last two summers and part of spring in Canada - Ontario & then the Maritimes. Larry grew up in Oakville, Ontario 🇨🇦 ❤️

    • @djflook9465
      @djflook9465 2 года назад

      @@DownsizingMakesCents L0L born and raised in Chatham, Ontario - they don’t have wind; or what they call wind is a daily breeze in Southern Alberta! So; your fear of it getting ripped off? I saw that has happened to you once?. We lost our manual awning on our old rv 3 times to wind bursts. No warning- there and gone. So our new rv has an electric awning- we treat that baby with super caution. The disadvantage being that we have never replaced it and it has actually worn out the fabric? L0L that never happened before - so what’s better? Getting old and worn out or getting ripped off and staying new.

    I had EZ zip blocker for 1 trip. Sent it back to amazon when we got home. Great idea nice quality but when you are facing west at 4PM in the hot direct Florida sun it does not help one bit. You just sit in your chair sweat and cook in the sun. Looks like the way you have it set up works great but I would like to see you review it facing west at 4pm in bright summer sun. If you get a blocker for all the other reasons it works great but does not work for hot direct sunlight.
