We have 10 golden commet hens about 15 days old now depending on when they were sent vs hatched anyhow we just finished our two level coop yesterday only issue we ran into so far is chicks escaping seeing as they can fly so we put window screen over our chicken wire to allow full airflow and shade seeing also as we live in az
What will you do for winter? We are new to backyard chickens. Have a large coop and a tractor, but too many roosters. Probably going to have to turn the tractor into a rooster house.
Winter we do the same thing. They adapt by molting in the fall. We up their protein (ie: more fish) Roosters... get rid of em or put em in the crockpot. Too many Roosters is not good for the flock. Should really only have 1 Rooster. Your just wasting feed on a bird that does not produce eggs.
Been a few months, how are your chickens doing? I ask because I built a similar coop and would love to hear what you would do differently now that you've been using it for a few months.
Can't wait till I get some chickens! That's our main goal when we get out of this apartment. A yard for chickens and veggies!
How's those chickens doing!I love that chicken tractor!
Love it!
Great job!! They are gonna love that coop 👌👏👏
💟 dem chickens!! Keep'em coming, T nT gang! 👏😀⚜✌️✝☮🇺🇸
Get some scrapped decking planks, they are usually treated against termites and rot and will normally last more than 20 years

Awe man... like the idea of those little pots of peas did you say on the fence?! Nevertheless I'll probably try that. What else do y'all have in em?
buckets...also just in the ground around fences etc..
@@30mofishing in guess what I meant was the pallet "pots" on the fence. What else is planted in em? 🤙
How many chickens does your coop hold? I just build one that houses 25. But currently only have 8.

They are almost full size. It was a temporary set up. They will go to a bigger coop soon. May use this as a tractor or second flock coop. Not sure
How long of a drive from the homestead to your fishing spot
We live on a peninsula. Salt water 2 miles in every direction
You need some wire on the floor to prevent predators from digging to get to your chicks 🐥
Well aware of that method. Use it a lot. No predicted predators here in this hood. Free range guinea hens chickens and ducks all over hood.
My bro law is giving me some chickens, I'm building an upstairs room in my A frame chicken coop
Looks like golden comet and americanas or olive eggers
golden sex links and americanas... good eye
👍
Our tractor supply was sold out of chickens😬
Stop giving my wife ideas😂
How this is NOT a “how to” its a “look at me mommy” video
