@jonaswolterstorff3460 He does it twice 7:46, it's at the same part of the song each time, uses 2 sticks on the cymbal then tosses one at the end of the part
Im not really a reaction video watcher but this dude left me speechless and i wanted to see what other pros had to say about his ridiculous talent. I dont think I have seen so many professionals so impressed by someone else's skills. He has put the drum world on notice. Transcendent is the perfect description for him. We are witnessing something special with this dude. I personally love it. He's a superstar in the making
It’s not just his technicality, but his creativity that gets me! Sure, he’s super fast and super tight, but he’s doing things I’ve never seen other drummers even think about trying. And that’s where the talent is, imo. His mind just works differently!
He will tell you that the talent came from 10 hours of playing a day once he turned like 18 he decided it wasn’t just a hobby, it was something he wanted to be the best at and get better every day. Never practiced rudiments and other basic things before then just played beats and he was a killer drummer before that decision if you look at his first posts.
yea, he's super innovative and implements it so tastefully, to the point that his sticks juggling (which is usually one of, if not the most flashy part of drum solos), is the least impressive thing of his playing i really think, or at least hope he's gonna change the game, because i'm sure kids are gonna try to play like him, and such solid drumming is gonna become more and more standard
To fully capture this set & his stick and peddle movement, plus how he synchronised the 3rd and 4th stick grab is better watched in ultra slow mode (0.25X). This guy is on a different planet than any other drummer I've seen in my life time. Effortlessly done. 💯 % 🔥
This was insanely good!! The sequence where is uses 3 sticks at the same time starts at 6:20. He hits/bounces the right stick on the beat and it goes flying and rotating into the air, and while the stick is in the air he switches the left stick to his right hand, then catches the stick in the air with his right hand while also holding what he had just transferred from the left hand, and immediately with he now free left hand pulls a new stick from his waist...and goes on to the next beat with 3 sticks like nothing happened. The first time he did it I completely missed all that. It happened so fast. I had to slow it down to 25%.
As someone who loves music and can appreciate what a drummer does, watching him is like magic.. So having someone who DOES know drumming just get blown away and explain some things is nice for us!
