Well, I'm breaking that tradition and playing the entire thing to see if it's as bad as people say or if it's just something we blindly hate this is the entire game Edited into a 51 minute video a lot of the combat has been cut out the and I have made it as entertaining as I can I hope you enjoy it.
☢️Game Played it on an emulator.

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is an action role-playing game developed and published by Interplay Entertainment, and distributed in Europe by Avalon Interactive for the Xbox and PlayStation 2.[2] Released on January 13, 2004, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel was the fourth video game to be set in the Fallout universe. It was also the first to be made for consoles, and the last to be made during Interplay's initial run on the series, before the rights passed to Bethesda Softworks. The game chronicles the adventures of an initiate in the fictional Brotherhood of Steel, a militant quasi-religious organization that has come to power in a post-apocalyptic world.
In 2007, Todd Howard stated that "neither Fallout Tactics nor Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel happened".[3] Emil Pagliarulo revealed in 2020 that the decision to disregard Fallout Tactics was revised.[4]
As a spinoff, Brotherhood of Steel's gameplay greatly differs from that of other Fallout games. The gameplay is linear, not open-world.[5] Instead of being able to travel freely across a broad world full of places and events as in other Fallout games, the player is confined to one location at a time. Previously visited locations cannot be visited again, and new locations can only be discovered by advancing the story. There are 50 distinct zones of varying size in Brotherhood of Steel.
Brotherhood of Steel uses many of the same mechanics as other entries in the Fallout series, including the SPECIAL (Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck) attribute assignment system. These seven attributes are assigned numeric values and govern most interactions in the game. Unlike other Fallout games, however, the values are constant for each character rather than customizable.
Skills exist in this game, but they do not behave like skills in other Fallout games. Rather, they are analogous to perks. When the player levels up, they receive "skill points" to increase the power of skills. Some skills also have level restrictions.
The Brotherhood of Steel (commonly abbreviated to BoS) is a post-War technology-focused paramilitary order with chapters operating across the territory of the former United States. It was founded by rogue U.S. Army officer Captain Roger Maxson shortly after the Great War.
The Brotherhood's core purpose is to preserve advanced technology and regulate its usage.[5][6] This is because they believe humanity cannot be trusted with the means to destroy itself, and they acquire technology to prevent another apocalypse.[7] Although they tend to be relatively isolationist, the Brotherhood has proved to be one of the most important organizations in the history of the wasteland, though their exact levels of power and influence have varied over time and by chapter.
The Brotherhood has been featured in every game and other entry in the Fallout series, in one form or another. This article focuses on an overview of the Brotherhood as it appears throughout the series, detailing the evolution of its doctrine and policies.
For information on specific Brotherhood chapters, see: Brotherhood of Steel chapters.
And this kids, is why you don't mix Psycho and Jet.
Bro! Lmao...... 10/10 comment. You just answered why on earth this game was made.
the devs really mixed jet and psycho together
Fallout BoS' writing is actually a chem'd up BoS Veteran talking about his exploits in as deranged a manner as possible
My head canon is that it’s actually an drunk NCR Trooper telling this story in New Vegas.
Isn’t that Fallout tactics?? 💀💀
wait, that's baldurs gate dark alliance engines!
Yeaaah.. easy to see why Fallout doesn't cut it in the "Gaming trying way too hard to be cool" era of the early 2000s
its a fallout skin over Baldurs gate Dark Alliance
This is crazy, i havent seen your videos since i watched a livestream during covid, winter 2019 and u were the first streamer to ever respond to a chat of mine! And now you appear in my recommended 🤯
This has to be the horniest Fallout game... That late 90's Todd McFarlane gritty "sexy" style that was popular for a brief time.
Wow thats actually a perfect way to describe it
The intro was going so well until 0:33 with that silly ass skull and cross bones. Gotta love the heavy metal too lol it's like if someone made a documentry on the great depression with an ost of Mötley Crüe.
Admittedly, I do like the idea of the Brotherhood going "Fuck it, start recruiting the Mutants (Ghouls, Super Mutants, etc.).".
I could see the FO3 Brotherhood getting to that point, as they were the least dogmatic of the acknowledged games, and the most virtuous. Buuuuuut then they morally regressed in FO4.
@@bthsr7113 Wasn't hiring a bunch of Non-Humans a thing in Tactics? You could recruit Ghouls, Super Mutants, and Even Deathclaws?
@@ShadowWolfRising That one I am not acquainted with. In fact, when I clicked on this video, I thought it was tactics. I didn't know there were two black sheep.
If you can't beat em join em, or in this case, let them join you. There's an advantage to having mutants and ghouls high radiation zones send in the mutants to receive the lost technology. And they are a lot stronger the brotherhood having an army of Frank horrigans is something to wonder.
@@JackTheFallout Even a single squad of intelligent super mutants in a new design of power armor would be a devastating surprise. Imagine getting mowed down by 5 power armored super mutants who each have 2 heavy weapons. And Ghouls should be able to wear normal power armor as opposed to limited production deviating from the established. Though you could modify their armor to remove radiation protection to potentially add more protection from enemy action or just reduce mass.
But both would be huge assets, and have been to wasteland organizations that welcome the new forms of humanity. Unless you get the crazy or the feral ones. Then you have to take less pleasant action.
If anybody's wondering the thumbnail is Jane (Raider Matron)
That intro... I know that voice. Same guy who did Nightmare Creatures I think.
27:20 Ah, I see the dogs comprehension of traps is similar to Dogmeat's
I actually wouldn't mind a dungeon crawler again with Fallout, but you know actually have it lore friendly
Did the intro imply that the bombs dropped in the 1950s?
yeah, lmfao.
Guess, that's why Bethesda seems to think Fallout is stuck in 1950s.
Bawls energy drink???? That’s a real thing.
I'll say, on it's own, completely detached from the rest of Fallout, this game does have a vibe to it. The metal is still badass and certain concepts like whatever the ghoul cult priest was going on about, do sound rather intriguing.
Honestly this game probably would've done decent if it wasn't related to fallout, its so surreal to see this is an actual thing, like THIS is a fallout game? A FALLOUT game? It separates so immensely from the theme of the game in literally every single way, edgy 2000s fallout game would've been cool honestly if done right but this... isn't right
But hey ... At least its not Frontier
I know I played this as a kid but I don't remember the prostitute or any conversation
Trauma probably blocked it out
I remember renting this from Blockbuster, finishing it in a couple hours, returning it. Then promptly blocking the traumatic memory from my mind for about 20 years. 🤣
Thanks for reopening some old wounds 😭
The vibe is so off in this game especially with the modern sounding rock music, this just feels like an awkward transition of them deciding what kind of genre Fallout should be after being an isometric rpg.
Its Brotherhood of METAL!!!
The female character models are superb
Don't make em like they use to.
@@JackTheFallout Damn straight
I once beat this in coop together with my ex girlfriend and we had quite some fun with it. I somehow even felt the Fallout vibe and I'm playing this franchise since the very beginning. So as an Action-RPG-Gauntlet-like I think it had some appeal, even though it's not your typical Fallout experience. But that also changed when the franchise switched to first person
This is the classification of scorpions: Kingdom Animalia (Animals); Phylum: Arthropoda (Arthropods); Subphylum: Chelicerata; Class: Arachnida (Arachnids); and Order: Scorpiones (Scorpions).
If anybody is interested, at 20:29 the metal music in the background is the breakdown part of Killswitch Engage's Temple From The Within, starting at around 1:30 in the Alive Or Just Breathing version. Damn that's odd to hear in a Fallout game...
This looks like a bad Baldur’s Gate knockoff with a Temu Fallout skin….
I like to see Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel get remade/reimagine as a mod for like Fallout New Vegas or 4?
but written better, just reuse basic story, and levels and some of the quest as a guidelines blueprint for a mod.
Good video! It seems like it had the potential to be a good game but sort of collapsed in on itself. I feel like a remake could fix the discontinuity issues, add some quality of life, etc and you would have a very solid and fun game.
Attis is just a rehash of the Mutant general from Fallout 1.
no ron pearlman? not a real fallout game
yeah tbh I clicked for the thumbnail
Thanks for you're sacrafice to play this game i never had my hands on it XD Gone be fun to watch this hehe. I do remember some demo fallout game back thingy in the day some very old pc cd-rom with a few games you could try includding a fighting one from a time when magazines gave you demo cds for PC games. but i dont believe this was on it. did have some ather old fallout game on it i believe. (if anybody remembers it my mind is foggy on this). but probaly more then 20+- years old this pc cd-rom but we didnt have much money for games as kids so this was best alternative we had.
we should start a gofundme for Jack's psyche ward bills that he's gonna have after this
The voice of the elder god of the soul reaver the same actor in the first fallout.....tony jay great voice actor
All I hear is the Oblivion town guard.
I remember playing this on ps2, I quite liked it at first, but after an hour I quitted this and never tried again. Was my first played fallout game and then came Fallout 3 and New Vegas which I loved to play.
I have this on original Xbox I have never played it It's just part of my retro Xbox games collection
They replaced Nuka Cola with product placement for a real drink called Bawls Guarano
This game doesn't look as bad as they say. for the time it was released anyway.
It was very boring in places but 0 regrets playing it. The game came out in 2004.
The Matron was the only reason to play this.
as a year one Bionicle fan I love this calm slow CD ROM narrator voice
17:28, how the hell is a Super Mutant more civilised than a raider
To be fair the 1st gen super mutants were more intelligent than humans.
You know, I was wondered if this game was as bad bas they said. Watching this, yes it is. Felt I was watching someone slowly going insane.
RIP Tony Jay
Favorite game growing up right next to legends of dragoon don’t care what people say about it I know it was bad but it’s still fun and funny.
Yeah, the so bad it's a good vibe in something very enjoyable.
Tony Jay was worth the price of admission
You need a pscyhiatrist dude.
What makes you think that. 😅
Lmao why does this look like some thq game for a pixar movie
I enjoyed this game. I really loved yhe music. Bit i really really wanted some special skills you can use on cool down. It would've helped a ton. Because you wil get bored doing the same thing over & over. It's a dungeon crawler with no spell like abilities or skills
This game is like wasteland 2 and fallout 2 combined but also no one competent was on staff and for some reason were just very honry and into metal music
Played this with a friend when younger , head cannon is this would be what playing a Bos would look like
Exactly the brotherhood would never let a ghoul Within 2 feet of them, let alone let them become a member of the brotherhood of steel. I can already.
Tell this game was a disaster
I thought that was very funny, a brotherhood member, a ghoul.
I've never seen this game played before until now but this game seems to be using a modified version the engine that was used for Dark alliance Baldur's gate. It's wild to see this being used here lol
I have yet to play dark alliance. Maybe it would be worth a look . I fell in love with bg3 last year.
Same Devs apparently
If only someone would mod power armor into this mess. The ONE thing BoS players actually WANT!
I'd argue that Fallout *WOULD* be better, with Heavy Metal, Horror, and tig stonking biddies.
The game is slightly more bearable when you use the meatcanon, but the char you picked can't use it anyway. And even with it, it still is a real slog.
After finishing, I looked up the stuff I missed and heard about this weapon.
A few extra fun last things to talk about with this game.
1st, there are an additional 3 Playable Characters with fairly simple unlock requirements.
Beat Chapter 1 (Patty)
Beat Chapter 2 (Rhombus)
And Beat the Game (Vault Dweller, as in the one from the First Fallout.).
All of them are copies of Nadia and Cyrus, but with less Level Requirements and Restrictions for shit which means they are flat out better than the 3 Starting Characters (Apparently none of them have visible differences when equipping Armor though.).
2nd, and this is some pretty dumb shit, for some reason this game was Interplay's Beloved Child, and they actively mocked people for shitting on it, and canceled Van Buren for this game (Yeah, as in that game was going to be the actual Fallout 3, complete with a genuinely cool premise and a sideplot involving a new type of Ghoul.) with plans to make a sequel to this.
Needless to say this led to them shutting down after this was released.
Yeah.
That's hilarious and people complain at Bethesda for "ruining" the franchise, when the original owners got it even less. I wondered if this was the reason they shutdown but i couldn't find much evidence but very possible.
@@JackTheFallout I just took that from TVTropes (Well the 2nd part, 1st part is from Gamefaqs.).
Still disappointed no one did anything with Van Buren.
Everytime I hear Earl Boen I get WoW flashbacks, how did they get this man to narrate this game lmao
I played this game and I liked it
Hated that a few areas are coop only to enter. Beat it and never played again unlike 1,2, & Tactics.
It was so bad. I even tried to connect another controller to see what was behind, but wouldn't let me. I guess I'll never know.
@@JackTheFallout I got the guide to see what I missed by not doing coop. Its bonus stuff.
i enjoyed this game when it came out
It's so bad that it's good but combat is still boring at times.
Kick the Falllout theme and this shit could be it could its own game series.
Kind of between Mad Max ond Borderlands.
And it needs to be smoothed out a little. Otherwise... It is not bad, only that it's shitting on Fallout worse than 76 at its beginning...
U know what a mad max game in this style would actually slap.
I remember playing this back in the day on Xbox. Completed the whole mess as the ghoul character. A lot of metal in this one because that's Fallout, right?
I don't want to set the world on fire, but it's scremo.
So much potential here, what went wrong?
The fact it had fallout slapped on top would have been better if it was not fallout related.
If your into Loaded or project overkill this game is pretty sweet
This is one interesting fallout game
I would most definitely play this if it ended up on console
An radroach made Fallout Tactics, then went high and made fallout BoS
Bro can’t be making fun when he sounds like that
Hilarious
Happy Friday
Could I trouble you for your favourite type of wood of fallout? Or tree
Harold, fallout 3 Does that count.
@@JackTheFallout
🚁?
lol
Breh why the hell is Bawls Energy Drink in here!
Wait, bawls is a real thing. This also had product placement.
I think I'm traumatised by Harold being in this dogshit game
he has been through enough.
Anyone getting Bulgar’s gates dark alliance feels
*Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
Somehow still better than Starfield 💀
U know what i think it was, lmao.
Everyone picks the ghoul
This or frontier writing 🤔
This Edgy MF >>>>>>>
I have not had the chance to play frontier, and hearing about the drama most likely won't.
I really want to play this game
You can pretty easily with an emulator don't require too much effort to get it working
I Loved this game ngl when all I had was my ps2 one year and found this 9n sale at gamestop for like 3.99 lmao I just hated the way it ended etc so much could've been done my lil bro played as ghoul and I played muscles and beat the game in one day lmao.
03:49 more booba :0
02:10 booba :0
you sound like grian if he wasnt family friendly
Yeah, i get that a lot.
The game actually looks okay. Well, it's very much low budget junk, but I've player many games worse than this back in a day. Funny that they even kinda try... try is a bit much, but yeah, try to tie it with 1, Rhombus is in there, Harold is in there, nightkin, just everything. Even main plot points are repeated, with the most obvious and lazy sequel prompt - hey, mutants are doomed, because they are sterile... But what if they found a way to not be? Gotcha!
Anyway, this is still absolute worst Fallout, but after seeing it... I would think devs should get some credit after all this time. I know it's a meme to hate on this game, but there's definitely good effort of dozens talented devs there, that genuinely did some things to somewhat decent standard. They're not to blame for greedy publishers that wanted big hit to save them from bankruptcy and would destroy their best IPs if it means an easy $
Why would you do this to yourself?
Entertainment, and I think it was worth it.
Nice thumbnail, too bad you had to blur it 😔
I feel like this game is stupid on purpose
Yeah, definitely in places, classic early 2000s dumb shi.....
🤟🤟🤟
What’s the name of this game? I want to see a full gameplay of it.
Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Released on PS2 and Xbox
The commentary on this video is AWFUL, I only made it a couple minutes before I had to turn it off....
Okay, cool..... lmao
Actshually the voice complaining yet again about bos
😎😁😁😁😁😁🤣❤️👍
Fallout Tactics puts this to shame
Never actually played tactics.
get rid of the accent and JackTheFallout sounds almost like Frieza
Accent? Can you elaborate more, lol
@@JackTheFallout oh I thought there was... know what, take it as a compliment accents are hot. still sound like Frieda from dragonball Z and that's just bad ass
