I got introduced to CM in the 70s during the Superfly era. But, let's be honest, his live stuff of Move on Up is classic. What a great career and rare talent.
Great live rendition man Curtis was so personable in his delivery. Craig McMullen complained about another video where they dubbed a studio recording over a live video. I miss the horns being a horn man but loved Curtis singing songwriting. The Impressions were a unique group always with that message of Black awareness but never hate. Nice to feature the musicians.
Blows my mind how some people like to criticize and I'm a critic! Did the critic stop to think that if the musicians were OK with Curtis that was enough. This sounded good to me even without the Impressions. Some people are never satisfied, no matter what you do.
