Paul is certainly one of the greatest most versatile contemporary guitarists of all time. Very very underrated. Can sight read like crazy and improvise and play from the 'hear' and heart!
@@SuperBass1964 he’s probably overrated, super sloppy and there’s tons of kids or guitarists way better than him. Another Santana that gained some fame and people thinks he’s a good player.
I discovered Paul's playing in the 1990's when he was doing a lot of session work for the big time smooth jazz sax artists of that time. His pocket chops and timing is simply unmatched. I was blown away immediately and followed his career ever since. Glad to see the good guys getting their due. Great musician and Greater person!!! Need more of you bro!! God Bless!!
Paul Jackson was on the Motown 60th anniversary TV show last night using a PRS John Mayer signature S-style guitar. This Xotic S-style version is really damn good, but I think corporate demands and a contract may dictate otherwise. I have been a fan since 1990, so it was exciting to see him onstage with Smokey Robinson, and playing a Medley of Smokey's songs.
Exquisite playing man! The sweet harmonics you are getting is hard to tell if it is the pickups, amp, or the pedal. Definitely sounds like you are on the neck pickup. Very fat clean tone but not mushy. Just enough overdrive to still hear the tone of the guitar.
