I know this is long after the video was made but I thought it'd be super fun to do a Water Genasi, Druid, w/ circle of the moon due to the ties between the ocean and the moon (tides and whatnot). I'm planning on using more ocean themed animals like octopus, crab, spider (you know the ones that skirt across the top of the water), giant snakes, and my DM is letting me do a variant of the giant eagle (THE GIANT SEAGULL)! I'm jumping into a campaign that's been going for a year now so they're lvl 11 so I get a bunch of the druid goodies! Super excited to try this out with the water Genasi theme!
Well iam onboard with you, i just started with an Tempest Cleric / Druid Water Genasi and my spiritual Weapon is a god damn sharktopus. Plus i took the flaw to really change my mood after the weather. ( I basically turned my DM into the weather forecast with that.) Its fun to play an arrogant cleric that is more or less annoyed by the shit his gods(Akadi/Valkur) throw him onto, but he gets the job done so far.
Currently I'm working on a Water Genasi Druid in the circle of the stars class. She's an entertainer with a Hurdy Gurdy for a musical instrument. Basically going for not only comedic purposes, but for a versatile in a healing and combat build. Her birth parents abandoned her and she was adopted by Aquatic elves until she was old enough to go live her own life. I named her Vapora Tempest to go with her water element. So this video has helped a lot with designing her character out!

I just made my first character for a campaign and we are a few sessions in, but my character is a water Genasi druid with the circle of Wildfire subclass.
I thought of going with a fire genasi bard that was a belly dancer type, using a whip and scimitar as weapons to augment their ability, she would be a far traveler for background (for the flavor more than anything else) and spells would be a mix of control/utility with a few for damage
I just finished my character sheets for my new character: father was Rock gnome grew up in the mountains as an earth genasi she then proceeded to train with Rangers 4.5 ft tall short bow armed She has some unique character traits in her personality and she's bit of a trickster really excited to use her in future
Working on a water genasi teen who's human parent was behead in front of them due to a democracy centered coup and then adopted by the noble family that did the beheading as a sign of their "kindness and generosity"
I have siblings with a fellow player, a water genasi barbarian being the older brother and air genasi sorcerer, the little sister being the wild one. The siblings forever bond with each other and both sailing the seas.
We love the siblings connection for adventurers. It really adds the connection piece between characters. Also like the very different roles. What have you liked about it the most?
@@SkullSplitter I think it might be that she is following her heart and have forced him to be the responsible one. He would protect her to his last breath, but if her courage is questioned she can try to fight herself.
This is an awesome vid on a great race and one of the races that got me interested in dnd, I've got a few class builds for them, earth genasi barbarian, water genasi druid and air genasi fighter(archer).
I plan to incorporate the Genasi into my Theros campaigns and bottle episodes: Earth Genasi: Karametra, God of Harvest Air Genasi: Keranos, God of Storms Fire Genasi: Purphoros, God of the Forge Water Genasi: Thassa, God of the Sea
Playing a fire genasi whose mortal parent was a tiefling. He’s a fighter sorcerer and the chaotic drunk of the party. Never enjoyed a character more, lol.
I'm going to be playing as a Water Genasi Horizon Walker Ranger for Princes of the Apocalypse and she already has various spells as she has the cantrips Shape Water, and Acid Splash, the spells Create and Destroy Water, and Water Walk via Call of the Wave, Cure Wounds, Detect Magic, and Hail of Thorns as her starting Ranger spells, and Protection from Good and Evil as her first Horizon Walker Spell. And yes I'm making her like a fusion between classic 5E Water Gensai from Elemental Evil's Companion and the current Water Genasi from Mordikein's Monsters of the Multiverse.
Perhaps somewhat done to death, I don't know, but earth Genasi Rune Knight with soldier background, dual wielder feat, two weapon style, perhaps add crusher and slasher feats at later levels to really inconvenience the enemy.
I have an Air genasi Whispers bard who is a circus performer. Although she will tell you she went to the swords college. She is currently trying to multiclass into a warlock by contacting her Genie lineage to strike a deal.
I’m thinking about playing as a air genasi that wears a flight suit, JetPack, rocket boots, and flamethrower gloves. He was born with air powers, but the equipment he wears gives him artificial Fire powers. His air powers power his fire weapons. I was inspired by the jet copy ability from Kirby
I was considering the concept of an actual genie that lost part of their powers. In a Sandman/Q (from star trek tng) situation where they would have to recover their power whilst dealing with "impossible" mundane situations
