Eren showed her the “what if” situation ( if she confessed her feelings, he can abandon everything, eloped together and live together somewhere far away). The reason why the dream seemed out of character for both of them because it was Eren's selfish dream to love and to be loved by Mikasa and spend his remaining years with her peacefully. But Mikasa decided that she can’t live in that alternate reality, that she wasnt supposed to be there. In the end, they both realized that there was no happy ending for them because in reality, they wouldn't have done that. They had accepted that Eren would die from Mikasa's hands. The reality starts to kick in (Titan mark started to manifest on Eren's face) Eren ask Mikasa to throw away the scarf and forget him but Mikasa refuses to do that. Then the "see you later" happen. Also, due to the transitioning, it is heavily implied that they (goodbye) kissed in the dream/alternate reality but because Isayama is a sadist he showed the kiss in reality (which is Mikasa kissing the decapitated head of Eren).
Don’t forget that Isayama confirmed that he draws Mikasa even more beautiful when it’s from Eren’s perspective. And you know who also sees people more beautiful from their perspective? a mf in love .

After watching this, I started searching for evidence of Eren's feelings for Mikasa. I just realized that in chapter 121 the largest part of Eren's fragmented memories was Mikasa. This and the last chapter, indicate the true depth of the love that Eren had for her. It's truly heart-breaking to see that their relationship was doomed from day one. On the other hand, it kinda warms my heart knowing that Mikasa's feelings were not one-sided.

Mikasa & Eren never saw each other as siblings. This is evident even in season 1. They only lived together for a single year. Also whenever they referred to Eren’s parents, Eren always said ‘his parents’ and Mikasa never referred to them as ‘mom’ or ‘dad’ either.

Honestly, being in love with Mikasa gives so much more meaning to Eren's character. It was so wrong how people viewed him as "the Devil" (and how he's doing it all for hisu??wtf??) like a person with no emotions, only the motive to kill and protect. Eren was never like that. It was already mentioned in 130 how sad he was that he has to do the rumbling. Its so sad to see how the Yeagerists and erehisu shippers think they know Eren so well but they are the ones who are the most misunderstood about his character. They were dumb enough to think that a concept as bad as The Rumbling will succeed and that Eren will make it happen. Like go and analyse your comfort character for once?? I honestly prefer this "Love Story" then the usual "Villain Gives Up Everything Just For Some Girl He Likes" love story. It definitely fits in the world of AOT better, and the tragic love for Mikasa and Eren gives off more realistic "You Love This Person But Just Can't Be With Them" vibes. Not like the other more fictional Love Tragedies. Kinda gives off the mix of Hamilton and Romeo and Juliet vibes ngl

I don’t get why people don’t like the part in the manga where Eren is telling Armin about his feelings for Mikasa. It’s a sweet moment. It kind of gives us a little bit of the old Eren before he goes insane. Like his usual whinny voice lol. I don’t know I always thought it was obvious he loved Mikasa and that she loved him.
All the characters around them were never sure what relationship Mikasa has with Eren even though some know they grew up together. Eren repeats many times to Mikasa they are not actual family or siblings. So what are they? The fact that Eren is the one that asks Mikasa cemented to me how much Eren matured emotionally.

Eren & Mikasa is the definition of pure love doomed to be a tragedy since the very beginning. They were the beginning of attack on titan and they're the end of attack on titan. Eren & Mikasa's relationship is the absolute heart of aot. I absolutely adore the development. As children, Eren's inferiority complex which resulted in his jealousy & want to be strong like mikasa and Mikasa's trauma which resulted in her desperatel wanting to protect 'family' kept them from being vulnerable with each other but as they progressed eren becomes vulnerable with Mikasa and admits how he was jealous & realizes how mikasa's been bearing the burden all alone without complaining while he was always getting kidnapped. Mikasa on the other hand starts to encourage eren to be more Independent and trust in his own power whereas before it would've been "you will die without me"(kinda true though). They become softer and more mindful of each other as years pass. But then the final arc happens and their relationship becomes just as much a rollercoaster as the plot. Even though they became as distant as possible. we the audience saw how much they genuinely loved each other. From Mikasa occupying the biggest portion of Eren's memories to Eren's longing look and question to Mikasa "what am I to you?" To Mikasa being the only one who still saw eren as human. Not a monster, not a saviour. But just a boy. Needless to say Ch 138 broke me. They deserved to live the life they wanted.

It's honestly the perfect AoT ending. Bittersweet, completely open and realistic. So many tv shows mess up the ending like Death Note and there was a lot of pressure on AoT simply cause the storytelling was so unique. I have mad respect for Isayama for pulling this off so well.
On the 3rd to last page of ch 138, look at Eren’s hair. His head is fully decapitated and he’s still looking intently at Mikasa. I truly believe he kissed her back in that final panel, and it’s not just Mikasa kissing a dead head

This love story is so damn painful because of how unfulfield and yet real it is, they are both the love of their lives, know it, are completely faithful, yet could never act on their love because of life. The worst thing it's that this is what sometimes happens in real life making it so much more painful and relatable to those who have experienced relationships like this.
I think that Eren has already seen the two kinds of reality he will take. The reality that he and Mikasa fled and the reality that he went through with the rumbling. So with Mikasa saying that they were family is another hint for Eren to move forward towards his destiny to proceed with the rumbling.

It's hard to believe that Mikasa of all people, would be the one to kill Eren, considering how overprotective she was of him, and how even the smallest misdemeanor is enough to freak her out.
Eren wasn’t asking her about her true feelings. He’s well aware she’s heads over heals for him. He wanted to see whether she’s able to confess and convince him to run away with her as a last resort before what he was about to do.
It connects to when in 138 or 139 he showed Mikasa their alternate future in which they ran away and lived out the rest of his days running. I believe that had Mikasa convinced Eren of their mutual romantic interest, it would branch out to that alternative future. I like to think that's how it happens anyway.

Isayama creates a beautiful relationship between Eren and Mikasa, subtly builds up their relationship from chapter 1, makes it very clear that Mikasa loves Eren romantically, later on gives hints that Eren also loves Mikasa romantically, always draws Mikasa more beautiful when seen from Eren's pov, says Eren feels like Mikasa's love for him is like a mother but also says that later on when he grows up he might start having more than platonic feelings for Mikasa, makes them canon in a tragic yet beautiful way. The part where Mikasa was in tears saying that she won’t accept their last conversation (mainly eren saying he hates her) to be the *last* ,leading to her imagining that alternate reality just tugged something from my heart. After reading the chapter i was so frustrated but after a few moments I accepted what I really felt upon reading further in to the last panel... That there can be no better ending for ExM. I simply can’t stress this enough: Isayama did a fucking good job.

Eremika were never meant to be together Ymir needed someone strong enough, both physically and emotionally, to set aside their feelings and kill the one they love in order to break the curse, something Ymir couldn't do.

Ymir is not the villan in this series - the centipede is. Everything that Ymir/Eren has done was to ultimately destroy the centipede. Eren had to do things this way since the centipede was inside him, he couldn't tell everyone his plans to save them by killing the centipede w/o the centipede knowing his plans and defending itself. In a way, Eren's story is the same as Erwin Smith and Erwin's Smith story is the same as Armin's, who is the narrator and possibly the only survivour of this entire ordeal - yes, I believe Jean and Conny and everyone will be de-titanized once the centipede is destroyed but out of our three main characters (Armin, Eren and Mikasa), I think only Armin will live to tell the story as I don't see Mikasa choosing to go on without Eren (shrugs) Hopefully, I'm wrong. With the centipede gone, the curse of Ymir is, too and so is the power of the titans, FINALLY freeing Eldians from the hate and fear the rest of the world has for their hidden power (the ability to transform into titans). This story has so many layers that makes it amazing and the love story even more tragic... but what's even more amazing is Armin's metamorphosis from a weak coward to a strong, powerful leader by observing his friends and everyone around him and picking up their traits to become a better person in the end. So in a way, Eren and Erwin Smith lives on through Armin.

I think it's also because of Mikasa & Eren. In her backstory, Ymir was chained with others while folks had their tongues cut out and speared to death. There was a brief scene where she sees a marriage ceremony nearby; despite what's happening, the couple seal the marriage with a kiss while a small crowd cheered & congratulated them. She's getting her freedom, but I also think that she's genuinely happy for Mikasa & Eren. If Ymir's free, then everyone else is free; the World can't deny that right anymore.
I really don't get why People ship Eren and Historia. Looking back In chapter 1, I already think they like each other or probably just Mikasa. And then here comes the people dubbed as REJECTION of Eren to Mikasa. They never understand the meaning behind it. If Eren choose to kiss mikasa, then he already accepted his death but he choose to get up and fight for their lives. I will accept that it's rejection if Eren didn't tell her after he gets up right away that "I will wrap that scarf around you as many times as you want. Now and Forever as much as you want." Lol people only pay attention and thought that Eren rejected Mikasa. It already proves that he is developing some feelings to Mikasa or probably likes her already. They didn't even think that it has meaning. And it confirms in Ch 123 when Eren asked Mikasa "what Am I to you?". In Eren's memory's shards, everytime it appears, Mikasa always have the biggest shards in him. And when Eren asked Zeke about the Ackerman, Zeke said that "She just likes you very much" and then Zeke asked "What will you do?" But Eren answered " I've only got 4 more years to live" as an answer to Zeke's question. So I really don't know why people ship Eren and Historia. People are not even thinking when Historia asked Eren about "What would you think of me...Having a child?". She didn't say, "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME HAVING A CHILD WITH YOU?". She just asked him about HIS OPINION of her having a child since she is a queen and need a responsibility and duty. Good theory, but I think Eren is dead and technically has been dead since Gabi shot his head off. I don’t think he’s coming back, it’s a very tragic end to a character that so many people love/support but I believe that’s makes the series top notch (the fact that we don’t really get the ending that we want)
I like Ur theory better than mine which was because eren dies meaning all titan powers are gone. The world will reset to the beggining or under that tree in ep1 is season 1 when eren got the flashback/memories. The only way we will find out what happens is to wait
I think Eren loved Mikasa the whole time, but his love for her ultimately caused the destructive effects of the time loop to continue. Eren had to sacrifice his relationship with Mikasa in order to save the world. Tragic.
I like to even think that Mikasa and Eren spent those last 4 years together in that alternate timeline. They finally got to enjoy their relationship. That’s why we see Eren peacefully sitting down dead outside of the Cabin with Mikasa holding his head, after cutting it off. Since we didn’t get much screen time of it, that’s what leads me to assume they spent that entire time together, because that’s when he told her everything and how to kill him.
Does anyone remember when Eren told Mikasa he will wrap that red scarf around her as many times as she wanted in season 2? Is that another hint we missed that he is in fact influencing time? Or has been in that spot for many times already?

In al honesty, I often find the tragic or bittersweet love stories relatively hard to accept at first. But as I try to process it over a few days time, it's often more beautiful and memorable than the happy-go-lucky smooth sailing stories that are easier to understand and accept.
I agree, even before Eren confesses how he feels about Mikasa, he thought of her smile, and his eyes flashed when he remembered that scene in which Mikasa thanks him for putting her scarf on her, hopefully the fandom will see that animated panel and will know that their feelings are MUTUAL

Eren showed her the “what if” situation ( if she confessed her feelings, he can abandon everything, eloped together and live together somewhere far away). The reason why the dream seemed out of character for both of them because it was Eren's selfish dream to love and to be loved by Mikasa and spend his remaining years with her peacefully. But Mikasa decided that she can’t live in that alternate reality, that she wasnt supposed to be there.
In the end, they both realized that there was no happy ending for them because in reality, they wouldn't have done that. They had accepted that Eren would die from Mikasa's hands. The reality starts to kick in (Titan mark started to manifest on Eren's face) Eren ask Mikasa to throw away the scarf and forget him but Mikasa refuses to do that. Then the "see you later" happen. Also, due to the transitioning, it is heavily implied that they (goodbye) kissed in the dream/alternate reality but because Isayama is a sadist he showed the kiss in reality (which is Mikasa kissing the decapitated head of Eren).
Don’t forget that Isayama confirmed that he draws Mikasa even more beautiful when it’s from Eren’s perspective. And you know who also sees people more beautiful from their perspective? a mf in love .

After watching this, I started searching for evidence of Eren's feelings for Mikasa. I just realized that in chapter 121 the largest part of Eren's fragmented memories was Mikasa. This and the last chapter, indicate the true depth of the love that Eren had for her. It's truly heart-breaking to see that their relationship was doomed from day one. On the other hand, it kinda warms my heart knowing that Mikasa's feelings were not one-sided.

I don’t get why people don’t like the part in the manga where Eren is telling Armin about his feelings for Mikasa. It’s a sweet moment. It kind of gives us a little bit of the old Eren before he goes insane. Like his usual whinny voice lol. I don’t know I always thought it was obvious he loved Mikasa and that she loved him.
All the characters around them were never sure what relationship Mikasa has with Eren even though some know they grew up together. Eren repeats many times to Mikasa they are not actual family or siblings. So what are they? The fact that Eren is the one that asks Mikasa cemented to me how much Eren matured emotionally.

Eren & Mikasa is the definition of pure love doomed to be a tragedy since the very beginning. They were the beginning of attack on titan and they're the end of attack on titan.
Eren & Mikasa's relationship is the absolute heart of aot. I absolutely adore the development. As children, Eren's inferiority complex which resulted in his jealousy & want to be strong like mikasa and Mikasa's trauma which resulted in her desperatel wanting to protect 'family' kept them from being vulnerable with each other but as they progressed eren becomes vulnerable with Mikasa and admits how he was jealous & realizes how mikasa's been bearing the burden all alone without complaining while he was always getting kidnapped. Mikasa on the other hand starts to encourage eren to be more Independent and trust in his own power whereas before it would've been "you will die without me"(kinda true though). They become softer and more mindful of each other as years pass. But then the final arc happens and their relationship becomes just as much a rollercoaster as the plot. Even though they became as distant as possible. we the audience saw how much they genuinely loved each other. From Mikasa occupying the biggest portion of Eren's memories to Eren's longing look and question to Mikasa "what am I to you?" To Mikasa being the only one who still saw eren as human. Not a monster, not a saviour. But just a boy. Needless to say Ch 138 broke me. They deserved to live the life they wanted.

On the 3rd to last page of ch 138, look at Eren’s hair. His head is fully decapitated and he’s still looking intently at Mikasa. I truly believe he kissed her back in that final panel, and it’s not just Mikasa kissing a dead head

The Mikasa and Eren ship may have sunk in the manga BUT FUNFACT the voice actors of Eren and Mikasa in the brazilian dub are actually a couple and live together. They started their relationship after workin together on AoT

I think that Eren has already seen the two kinds of reality he will take. The reality that he and Mikasa fled and the reality that he went through with the rumbling. So with Mikasa saying that they were family is another hint for Eren to move forward towards his destiny to proceed with the rumbling.
That reality doesnt exist.

I think eren has send his present memories to the past to change the future.

Also in the manga when grisha is holding Zeke after he was born. Both grisha's hair and zeke's hair as a baby look a lot similar to the person holding the baby in the last panel.
It's hard to believe that Mikasa of all people, would be the one to kill Eren, considering how overprotective she was of him, and how even the smallest misdemeanor is enough to freak her out.

Eren wasn’t asking her about her true feelings. He’s well aware she’s heads over heals for him. He wanted to see whether she’s able to confess and convince him to run away with her as a last resort before what he was about to do.
It connects to when in 138 or 139 he showed Mikasa their alternate future in which they ran away and lived out the rest of his days running. I believe that had Mikasa convinced Eren of their mutual romantic interest, it would branch out to that alternative future. I like to think that's how it happens anyway.

Ymir is not the villan in this series - the centipede is. Everything that Ymir/Eren has done was to ultimately destroy the centipede. Eren had to do things this way since the centipede was inside him, he couldn't tell everyone his plans to save them by killing the centipede w/o the centipede knowing his plans and defending itself. In a way, Eren's story is the same as Erwin Smith and Erwin's Smith story is the same as Armin's, who is the narrator and possibly the only survivour of this entire ordeal - yes, I believe Jean and Conny and everyone will be de-titanized once the centipede is destroyed but out of our three main characters (Armin, Eren and Mikasa), I think only Armin will live to tell the story as I don't see Mikasa choosing to go on without Eren (shrugs) Hopefully, I'm wrong.
With the centipede gone, the curse of Ymir is, too and so is the power of the titans, FINALLY freeing Eldians from the hate and fear the rest of the world has for their hidden power (the ability to transform into titans). This story has so many layers that makes it amazing and the love story even more tragic...
but what's even more amazing is Armin's metamorphosis from a weak coward to a strong, powerful leader by observing his friends and everyone around him and picking up their traits to become a better person in the end. So in a way, Eren and Erwin Smith lives on through Armin.

I think it's also because of Mikasa & Eren.
In her backstory, Ymir was chained with others while folks had their tongues cut out and speared to death. There was a brief scene where she sees a marriage ceremony nearby; despite what's happening, the couple seal the marriage with a kiss while a small crowd cheered & congratulated them.
She's getting her freedom, but I also think that she's genuinely happy for Mikasa & Eren. If Ymir's free, then everyone else is free; the World can't deny that right anymore.

I really don't get why People ship Eren and Historia.
Looking back In chapter 1, I already think they like each other or probably just Mikasa. And then here comes the people dubbed as REJECTION of Eren to Mikasa. They never understand the meaning behind it. If Eren choose to kiss mikasa, then he already accepted his death but he choose to get up and fight for their lives. I will accept that it's rejection if Eren didn't tell her after he gets up right away that "I will wrap that scarf around you as many times as you want. Now and Forever as much as you want." Lol people only pay attention and thought that Eren rejected Mikasa. It already proves that he is developing some feelings to Mikasa or probably likes her already. They didn't even think that it has meaning. And it confirms in Ch 123 when Eren asked Mikasa "what Am I to you?". In Eren's memory's shards, everytime it appears, Mikasa always have the biggest shards in him. And when Eren asked Zeke about the Ackerman, Zeke said that "She just likes you very much" and then Zeke asked "What will you do?" But Eren answered " I've only got 4 more years to live" as an answer to Zeke's question.
So I really don't know why people ship Eren and Historia. People are not even thinking when Historia asked Eren about "What would you think of me...Having a child?". She didn't say, "WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME HAVING A CHILD WITH YOU?". She just asked him about HIS OPINION of her having a child since she is a queen and need a responsibility and duty.

Good theory, but I think Eren is dead and technically has been dead since Gabi shot his head off. I don’t think he’s coming back, it’s a very tragic end to a character that so many people love/support but I believe that’s makes the series top notch (the fact that we don’t really get the ending that we want)

I think Eren loved Mikasa the whole time, but his love for her ultimately caused the destructive effects of the time loop to continue. Eren had to sacrifice his relationship with Mikasa in order to save the world. Tragic.

I like to even think that Mikasa and Eren spent those last 4 years together in that alternate timeline. They finally got to enjoy their relationship. That’s why we see Eren peacefully sitting down dead outside of the Cabin with Mikasa holding his head, after cutting it off. Since we didn’t get much screen time of it, that’s what leads me to assume they spent that entire time together, because that’s when he told her everything and how to kill him.

In al honesty, I often find the tragic or bittersweet love stories relatively hard to accept at first.
But as I try to process it over a few days time, it's often more beautiful and memorable than the happy-go-lucky smooth sailing stories that are easier to understand and accept.
