Bmws are great if you have the time and patience to fix them yourself, but like you just said, taking them to the mechanic is a nightmare. My dads mechanic owns around 8 cars(Mercedes and BMWs most of them), but according to him manual labor is usually the most expensive with those vehicles. Parts can be found at discount prices specially for the older models, so according to him, it's not really expensive for him owning all those German cars. Lucky him lol

@@joshisajedi2461 Those Ford's are a headache with higher mileage, spark plugs seizing in the cylinder heads due to carbon accumulation will result in likely broken spark plugs. If that happens, your going to be up a creek without a paddle. Unless you have a Heli-Coil kit and the proper training to use it that is.😭😭 Those Crown Vic/Town Cars have the 4.6, there are multiple renditions of this engine. The later engines are effected by the design defect of the spark plugs. Also, transmission failure is routine with these Ford's, due to lack of scheduled maintenance usually. Interior build quality is not very good compared to newer Ford's either. They are somewhat reliable but are not exactly flawless 😂 I would stay away from Ford's in general, they are really shiny and nice on the outside when new, but they never really hold up well in my experience.

There was also a FWD Lincoln but you should probably steer clear of that one. They aren't perfect cars but the drivetrain of all of them are quite similar. Audi’s are pretty good rn. My pop bought an A4 Quattro back in ‘99 and sold it in 2008, it was still running great and no issues (he just wanted a new car). He bought an Infinit FX35, had it for 10 years. Now he’s got a 2018 Audi, nothing wrong so far. So from my recommendation I’d say Audi’s and Infiniti’s are reliable as heck😂😂😂😂

The Lincoln Town Car is a great choice for this list. I live in FL, where there are tons of retirees and big American land yachts. I often see Town Cars in very good condition, with under 100K for $2000-$3000. They're reliable, parts are cheap, and they built so many panther-body cars (and trucks, mustangs, etc.) with that 4.6L. If you wrench cars his opinions are just that. I build W124 Benz in my spare time. He's right about the new ones but even those can be had if you study a sector and are willing to spend some time hunting parts.. Pick your car study it and do your own work. I have a 94 Benz wagon that I bought for around the same price as his Lexus and there is no way I'd do a trade. I also have a 87 6cyl diesel touring wagon that he would need to come up with some serious cash and the Lexus for me to consider. Build not buy, TV isn't that important.
