I feel like the beginners don't know yet how genius this system created by John really is. Giancarlo certainly makes it look easy and explains in simple terms, but the idea of dilemmas between upper and lower body and the concepts of double trouble are game changing for your Jiu-jitsu

100%, I honestly feel like john teaches you how to do jiujitsu “correctly”

John isn't the one who created the system being shown in the video, he merely added newer aspects onto it. Marcelo Garcia was the first one to use the arm drag from Butterfly guard to get behind opponents or when they bring the leg up to enter into X guard, Johns innovation from there was using the leg entanglements to get to leg locks and start submitting people from there, whereas Marcelo would always use X guard to wrestle up. John didn't invent the idea of dilemmas between upper and lower body or the concept of double trouble, he just explains it better than most foreign teachers

@@stolenidentity8270 You're right, and I'm sure much of danaher's stuff was created by guys like Marcelo, Roger or some judo and wrestling guys. What I'm trying to get at is John's ability to systemize the whole thing in a didactical way. He doesn't just show the moves, he seems to understand and transmit the concepts behind the moves in a much clearer way than just arm drag from butterfly guard to behind opponent

It's great to see the whole class techniques taught from a world class competitor/Champion. I appreciate seeing the coach correcting all the little difficulties encountered along the way. This is the best format to learn from if you're lucky enough to find it free on RUclips. Cheers 🔥
