I am a blue belt now and remember 80% of the techniques we learnt because I always make videos of the technique the day I learn it and share it in our Whatsapp group. This way I remember all the techniques even from my beginning days.
One short quick correction I would like to add: most upperbelts with whom I roll are trying to win the trainings. It does pisses me. people tell me switch school. I did switch several times, but at some point, I'm afriad its engrained in the BJJ culture to pretend to train, but in reality, I observe guys wanting to finish their subs and craving for that last digit effort to win. Nothing pisses more than a purple of brown that literally yanks or jerks his sub to finish me. I try to avoid those guys later.
