thanks for this quality (HQ) presentation :) I really enjoyed it... very down to earth, very practical, and really helpful... anybody having a problem with her/his circuit will be happy to find this presentation, for sure
I've got a dd7 that works as normal but distortion behind each note. I've tried all the obvious stuff and I'm watching all of your videos! Even if it doesn't help I appreciate your effort. Liked and subscribed. Thank you
I have a ProCo Rat that shipped broken. The bypass works fine, but on the distortion setting it's completely silent, not even a buzz. I don't see anything obviously wrong when I open it up, but I'm not used to fixing pedals.
hello, I have a buzz in my tone bender, but I have no signal, no distortion, I'm thinking more of germanium transistors which are dead! What do you think? Thanks in advance and congratulations on your site!
My pedal has a spring on the bottom of the PCB that touches the bottom of the inside of the case which is metal it's brand new so I imagine it would be there for a reason but I'm not sure why do you have any idea why.
Thanks for all the videos!! If you don't mind do you think you could answer a question? I completed all my wiring and solder and all. The only thing left to do is drill and place the board and wires in the enclosure. But I thought I'd try out if it works, but when I tried the sound only goes through when I keep my pedal off. I thought this was very odd. I made sure all the POTS are well soldered and everything else is well connected to the board. What do you think I should check now?
So with my pedal it was able to work for about 2 days for a presentation then when i tried it out the day after it quick working. Pretty sure that means it’s wired correctly, any tips?
Great RUclips videos... learning a lot Question, I recently did a mod on a Boss Blues driver.... All works fine when I activate the pedal.... sounds like crap in pass through.... suggestions please.
Unfortunately my experience doesnt extend to Boss pedals, the only suggestion i can give is to post your question on DIYSB's. There are alot of stompbox guru's there and surely someone can give you some advice. Good luck!
i have a MXR phaser 100 its a old one i think caus it doesnt have a electrical plug just batteries the problem is it works on bypass when i push the button for effects nothing any ideas thanx Richard from Pittsburgh
I know this is kind of a stupid question given your many explanations in this video, but I've gone through about 3 MT-2 Boss distortion pedals...the connection always seems to fail after a while and the volume level cuts out (almost like a cable malfunction, but it's not). Could you help me or could you make a tutorial explaining how to fix this? Any help would be much appreciated.
I have a compressor pedal, MXR Dyna Comp, that is shorting out the signal. I hope its the pedal and not my amp. Problem is sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I was changing my battery on my Behringer ultra metal pedal and I snapped the black wire off the battery connector, is there a fix to fix? Or do I go to the music store and pay someone to fix it?
www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ff5_lo_npn.pdf For some reason I can only get the circuit to work correctly when I connect the negative lead of the battery to ground instead of connecting to the ring lug of the input jack?
please can you tell me why my zoom guitar pedal doesn't works when I switch it on occasionally. every time it works normal but suddenly it doest turns on

The ground is like a rubbish drain....that's the perfect analogy to help me understand the circuitry!
totally cool, I also really liked this image

Would no continuity between the jack tips indicate a bad 3PDT switch?

Like just solder it back.
@@markochrenst801 well you don't understand. first of all I don't own a solder gun, I've never done it before. Second, I already got it fixed.
@@lyricbailey7433ok than just sorry for bothering
lol np, dont worry we all get stuck at any skill level :) Good luck with your kit!

That is not an exacto knife. That is a utility knife. An exacto knife is smaller.
