This method hold good until you go back to restore your prev backed up data from iTunes, which doesn’t go through. Had to download 17beta again and redo the changes in the info pdlist thingy and then restore it back. Guys you can go through with this method you’re okay with losing your data, otherwise it doesn’t work.

open apple configurator > right click on the device > restore > choose to downgrade
