On one trip to the Australian outback we drove 13 hours and say only one car. There was however a bar in the middle of nowhere where locals drove 3 hours one way across country to have a couple of pints. 🍺🍺 They do like their beer
i love how mike literally uses these videos as a vlog. whatever he thinks about and how life is going and ALL THE QUESTIONS HE THINKs PEOPLE MIGHT ASK OR COMMENT/ CRITIC, he's just an amazing person thinking out LOUD. great job mike. everyone appreciates the TRUTH. i know i do. thanks for the great content. Ashton is so awesome too. Stay safe guys :)
You need to boom the spray arms out to mark your territory at Flying J The expression of “Pissing In The Corner” to mark your territory can be modified by Mike to “Spraying On The Asphalt” 😂🤣
I was born and raised and worked on a dairy farm all my life. Retired now, but still don't sleep more than 5 hours a night. And I can attest to learning to drive a tractor at age 5, and farm kids making their own fun while operating heavy machinery. No more dangerous than city kids crossing the road in traffic.
Mike, I think you truly value life to its fullest, you keep things real and yes we all did things growing up on the farm that many would think is "dangerous"..... It's their opinion but I agree with you!!
fun farming...I subbed...the people in that minivan when you pulled in were probably like: "he better not be going through the drive through, he'll never fit it"....the truck drivers were like: "crap....another one of those farmers"
Lol idk why everyone seems like that's an anomaly or something. That's what a husband or wife is supposed to do, stick together. If you don't offer or receive that type of support then the wrong person was married on either side.
I agree with you on the use of lights! Loved running with lights as a kid. Still love farming at night. We have the same competition as every farm (I think), the first one to turn on lights loses! We also climbed on equipment. As a child I would ride on the fender of open station tractors for hours!! I wouldn’t change any of it for the world!!
It is still amazing how fast it is out there, it is just like an endless horizon. When I was on a trip out of virginia, in the mountains I saw a view of just repeating mountains one after the other as far as the eye can see. It is just amazing when you really think about the geography of the world and how cool it is
Mike. ‘Wow it’s congested it is in here”. Welcome to the world of trucking😂. Truckers need a place to sleep and there’s not many places. You need to be careful where you park as the last person in may go to bed and block you in if there’s no spots left!
The longest I’ve driven is 15 straight hours, and then 15 1/2 hours the very next day. Covered one province and 5 States in that time, though. Left in a snowstorm, arrived to sun and golf. 😁⛳️
An excellent rant on safety. Over the last 30 years there has been a non-stop message on safety, mandatory seat belts, air bags, etc, to the point that many people are afraid to do anything. As a kid who grew up on a farm I remember riding on the tailgate of a truck at 60 mph and dragging my shoe to make a skid mark on the pavement. Many kids today would freakout if they had to ride in the bed of a pickup with the tailgate up!
Any one who grew up on a farm or with a farming family should know that no matter the speed or the terrain, no harm will come to you if there is baler twine within grabbing distance... sometimes
I spent many hours with my siblings riding behind grandma standing on the hitch hauling corn loads and learning how to drive or whatever needed to be done
I know how you work, been there done that, I was working on call 24/7, retired now but it has taken me 18 years to unwind, with a zero care factor, LoL 😆👍🇦🇺, thanks for your time doing the videos Mate
That's cool to see the sun coming up like that, it shows how far north you are. Ashton is a legend.... Mike you seem to have a partner for life getting her pregnant always helps too lol, she won't leave you she has to make sure you are safe then again she needs dad around for sprout lol... what was the point of getting the sprayer home for Monday if its going to be that hot you can't spray if it's to hot
Keep doing what you love, if it's a bit crazy well 10 years from now you'll smile looking back. Just be careful with the chemicals you breathe and touch nothing to win everything to loose.
Well Mike your life and your future👍 I am 63. Grew up as a farm boy. I was big for my age so I was hauling corn in from our Iowa Farm field at 6 years old on our Farmall H. The one compromise, no road gear until I just turned 9. We operated a very safe farm but paced things to level of experience and competence. Not everyone agrees with what a “child” is capable of but when you grow up in it, living it, watching dad & grandpa doing it from 2 on, it is natural to be out performing the work with them.
Mike, Keep being yourself! Dance your onw dance its your dime! Keep up your great content. You fulfil my want to be back framing and I love the new technology, its come a long way in my 30yrs absence. Now I drive a 3d modelling computer designing equipment instead of operating it. Hi Mike: AWESOME VIDEO!! I am going to re-watch! My Grand Parents home stedded in SK in 1908 10 miles north of Moose Jaw. I have a lot of cousins in Regina! They sold the farm in 1921 and moved to Spokane. They immigrated from Norway, and My Grandad helped build the original Lutheran church in Moose Jaw. He was a Deacon in the church. I have an aunt buried in the church cemetary. When I was a kid, we did all kinds of neat things (goofy by today's standards), but we were farm kids! When I was in grade school, we were taught how to use and RESPECT fire arms, and we took our .22's to school, and shot ground squirel's on the way. We got 3 cents a tail! The teacher had a special corner in the school where we stored them! No body, BUT no BODY, abused the rule's, and when I went to Vietnam, I qualified as a NAVY sniper, although I never was used as such! Farm kid's are special, and THANK GOD FOR THAT!!! The Very BEST WISHES, AND GOD BLESS! Gary
I am a farm kid from nova scotia the rides on the back of hay wagons going 30 km down the road, jump from the roof of a barn to the floor landing on a pile of hay, I get in trouble in school because I do thing that to me is safe but to the teachers is very unsafe. But my after and older couis did the same and thought me how to do it safely.

That’s a all natural thing to do brother!
Very interesting to watch the night move, sun coming up and scenery. I can see why you love what you do. I was a farm kid too.
As someone who is in the same business as you and regards themselves as a 'keen' sprayer operator, you sir, are an absolute hero. I tip my cap.
