Case 8250 has a 410 bu grain tank, not 400 like the S series deere. You said it produces a better sample and has less losses out of the back, which in money in your pocket and that says it all. Better lighting makes for better productivity, which says more. I would not count a stereo, refrigerator or sports car feel as attributes as they don't put money in your pocket.
The 8250 has automation. You have to teach it to where you want it and then go into automation. It will adjust itself based on crop conditions. Where i live there are a lot of MacDon heads.

Hi Mike. You are missing two of the biggest assets on the red one that the green one doesn’t have. First is the self levelling shoe and the ability to rock your rotor! The unload auger might be slower cause they haven’t lifted the pans over the cross augers in the grain tank. I feel this would cost you less than putting an entirely new system.

Mike... it's a 50 series. You don't have to know how to set it. Just turn the automation on and it will adjust itself. You adjust it from there by tapping you're loss meters and tell it whether more is acceptable or what not. You also have a feed rate control button that will control your ground speed as well. 😉 😂😅

We don’t have a problem from keeping grain from being thrown over on our s780s. We have 3 with 45 foot deer Draper headers and we have almost no volunteer grain growing after. But we have a lot of mods on the rotor and concave and some drive pulleys mods for the thrashing components that gives the combine more capacity .We also travel faster than 3 miles a hour and our crops are usually heavy. So I would not say John Deere combines throw a lot over at all.
