Not loving the look of the GS02 but absolutely feeling the OHTO CR01 Ceramic Rollerball pen which I have finally found offered via a U.S. vendor. It comes in Matte Black, Camouflage Khaki, and Camouflage Black.
This is more of a video request than a comment, but it would be really cool to see you do a review of a Papermate Pendulum. It was a 2000s pen with a beak like tip that could (as I understand it) freely rotate to keep the ballpoint at the optimal angle to the paper. I've been stymied when it comes to finding more details about how it works and why it was discontinued, but maybe you might have more luck.
Are you familiar with the Parker Vector cap-style ballpoint pen? It is a y2k era model that is now discontinued, but kind of neat and can be snagged on the bay for under $15. It falls into the category of the most premium pen that you'll find in the grocery store stationary aisle, which is nice because it doesn't attract attention, it's nice to use, but it's not irreplaceable. If you're jonesing for a new pen it would be a fun little pickup.
I absolutely love the pen but the paint is horrible I have 3 different ones that have chipped from absolutely doing nothing even using a pen sleeve as well. I did use the itoya gpr-7 I find all ohto needle points to be absolutely terrible and nowhere close to the itoya gpr-7
@@unsharpen it's a pen so it's expected to be used so I really can't complain it's a very addictive pen and seeing chips happen randomly is a let down because it's not happening to everyone clearly haha and it's only happening on the sharp edges before the screw in tip
@@Ali-in8xi there's really no telling I mean I understand use of pens and paint coming off of course but heck the first black one I took out was showing aluminum on two different parts right away haha I was absolutely shocked because the pen itself is wonderful! The updated version of the Ohto refill was actually nice it just doesn't do a great job putting down ink without a good amount of pressure I wish they made a .7 itoya
This has very Rotring vibes about it, which I don't know if I like or not. I would go for Horizont every time before this, doesn't look that special. At least it uses Parker G2 refill.
hey I see you're a lefty too. quick question: do you have any trouble with rollerball pens? I find that the rollerball pen refils tend to gum up b/c as a lefty I push the pens across the page rather than the way a righty will drag the pen across the page. so the pushing motion grabs pen fibers and gums up the works. any oppinion? and is there a roller ball that does work for you?
As mentioned in the video the paint job on this pen is quite awful. In addition, all these OHTO pens are quite tricky in terms of non OHTO refills - the bore of the pen writing tip will not fit the majority of the standard G2 cartridges - because it's too narrow.
@@unsharpen yes,my country is poor and people poor, same items we have more cheap price. 15 is my one day salary,so 7 for this pen is still a big pay for me.
Oh that body shape is particularly neat! I wonder if they'll do a mechanical version... Great review as always!
Love their refills. And the side knock horizon is a great pen.
Really great review.

Thanks for reviewing
I don’t care for the look of the pen but I will try one out soon !
In terms of mechanism and overall build quality which is better between GS01 and GS02?
This is beautiful, and the move to standard cartridge sizes is welcome compared to the Horizon.... though the side knock is hard to beat

What color had the chips? Different colors or just the black?

Hope this isn't an issue with the OHTO CR01 Ceramic Rollerball pen; it would really piss me off! LOL

is there mechanical pencil version for this second gen?

My o-lite mini exploded and the ink got all over my pocket. Big bummer. i quite liked it but will most likely not
be replacing it.
You said you didn't like the Jetstream Prime single in blue with the flake... this color is WAAY more girly looking.
I’m ok with the mint, I just don’t like the glitter look
Lost the black front piece for this pen could I find a replacement
an upgrade version for GS01?
Seems like a different product altogether. More closer to the Rotring 600
Yes it's the Ohto GS02 direct upgrade

Hopefully, the GS01 was disappointing
@@waynegreen7634 price upgrade as well.

11 mins is not a quick review. Having said that I watched it as I .ost often do.
Quick versus buying it yourself and testing but not exactly quick. I’ll think on my word selection
25?
I bought it 7😂
that’s a great price!
