  • I recently bought another vintage pen lot on eBay. That's when someone sells a bunch of pens that they don't know (or tell you) much about. It's basically a gamble that the value of the pens is going to be worth more than what you paid. Watch through to see how I did!

Those Pentel Excaliburs are discontinued. They're worth a good $15 and they're somewhat popular with collectors.

Fyis: chesterfield makes cigarettes mainly. Soldiers got them in ww2. That auto point pencil is a classic, it's called the Twinpoint. I believe it takes .9mm lead. Usually the older pencils took 1.1 mm leads. That knife caught my eye, me being a knife guy. The wins for me would be the chesterfield pen, the knife, the autopoint (even though I have one already), the Pentel Excalibur, and the uni rollerball. Still, not worth the $30 for me. I do enjoy these ebay lot videos. Thanks for the upload.

I on the other hand love the "Chesterfield".

That Autopoint is probably a Twinpoint.

I believe the set you show at 13:25 is in the Pentel Rolly series. I found a few other similar images when looking up "Pentel Rolly PC125".

The Pentel PG5 is still listed on their website. While it shares parts with the P20X, I prefer the way it looks and feels.
There is still an Autopoint company (in Janesville!), I'm not sure if it is the same company or if they just bought the rights. The Twinpoint is still one of their models, though a bit modernised. To refill, just pull it apart between the section and the barrel, screw out the pin and insert a half-length lead. The also have more "normal" pencils.

That rollerball with the metal dotted grip that had a matching ballpoint looks like a Levenger pen I used to have. Mine was stolen so like 15 years ago so if it is the same type it's definitely old and it wasn't cheap back then. I used to used Schmidt rollerball refills in it. The cap was really secure with a satisfying click when I closed it. Anyway, that one could be a knock-off of it if it seemed cheaply made.

AUTOPOINT is the brand. One piece of lead is inserted at each end through the tip. Pull the tips off and back out the screw drive then insery the lead. Black lead in one end. Red lead in the other end. Had one in the 80s cost about $7 then?

I am fairly certain that stainless steel, capped rollerball with the one piece refill is called a "Rolling Writer". I have one from the mid 1980's.

Sal, at 12:28, that is a really good pen. I saw it at a Japanese store. It takes a Pentel MG8 refill. It costs around 5 dollars here. I guess it must be affordable in US. Check out if you are interested. Thanks 😊

*I meant the refill costs 5 dollars. The pen is almost double the price.

That x-acto reminded me of s
knife I've had for a number of years. The blades seem to be the same. Similar to this one:
