I’ve purchased this catalog for 2 years. One look at it and I purchased one for my daughter, a beginning gardener. This year I bought 2 from the get go. AMAZING item! Brijette under sells the worth of this calendar. If you garden and live in zone 9-10, especially in San Diego area don’t miss out on this treasure. Thank you for sharing your baby with us Brijette.
I absolutely love your calendar! I bought one for myself as a late Christmas present lol. I’m in Lake Elsinore so it’s perfect for my area. It is such a helpful tool. Thank you!!!!
@@BoB-rf2dv Haha, I should know better than to run out! I had a few seeds left and I started germinating them this week, I just didn't realize how low I was. :)
This is the first time I've seen a plant calendar with a centerfold. 😃 That is a cool idea though; I can appreciate the amount of time that went into researching all of this. 👍 It doesn't apply here, but I found a site that has this info for all locations, and it sure comes in handy!
Awesome video, great information even for me in 6a! Now I need to look if there are cool calendars like that for my zone lol I mostly grow peppers and have wondered why my germination rates were either lower or slow and soil temperature was definitely my issue. Ordering a couple of heat mats for my 1020s.
Thank you for the content you are sharing with us for free. I just love your calendar. Even though it is targeted to your growing zone (envy speaking here), it seemed to be filled with useful information. I am more interested in the backing sheet for your calendar. Are you planning to create a downloadable worksheet where we can enter our growing zone so the information changes to fit whatever zone we are on? I don't know about the rest of the community but $5 is a reasonable price for me to print out something like that. If you are thinking about such a thing, PLEASE have a google doc option as well. Love your content and thank you for what you do.
How about fruit? Does your calendar show when to plant fruit? I live in El Centro, CA Imperial Valley. I started my garden in pots and a raised bed because the soil around my house has a lot of saltpeter. How can I get rid of it?
Some fruit (like strawberries) but not things like trees since that's not my specialty. If it's really high (have you done a soil test?), raised beds may be the way to go
Brijette, do you have any advice for direct sowing and gardening outside during the "shoulder seasons"? I just looked up my 10 day weather for my area of El Cajon and it starts in the low 80s but then dips down to high 50s. I don't know what seeds to sow if any.
Not sure if you answer comment questions, but if you do, do you have a place you recommend for buying soil in bulk in San Diego? I was thinking of going to San Pasqual soil…
My tomatoes some are coming back to life! The Santa Anna cooked my tomato starts, Barry's crazy cherries is growing suckers, 2 more varieties are still standing with no sign of recovery, the rest sadly are completely dead.
What type of climate is changing ? There are deserts , rainforests , grasslands , swamps , plains , semi arid , arid , rainy .. the climate can be different just a few miles from where you stand right now .

Yes! Use row cover! Helps with temperature swings.

Yes you can get it from there or compost from el corozon or Mira mar greenery.
Thanks! And nice work on your videos, they are great!
