Before you do a set. Do you fully plan out where each song comes in (with cue points)? I stress about bringing in a song at the wrong time as each one seems to line up different with the drops/outro's. Thanks.
It depends on the mix I’m putting together, if it’s more a performance with dedicated pre-planned tricks I tend to set hot cue markers to take the pressure off so I can focus on performing certain fx and looping etc. some sets I know the music inside and out, by that I mean I know the music structure really well and know where I want to cue up and drop in the music in the mix. Understanding music structure really helps DJs to cue up and mix in tracks. So that’s what I’d suggest getting very familiar with. Music structure, phrases, beats and bars. If you check out my how to dj drum and bass article I think there’s some good points in there about it all. Hope that helps? Dan
Pretty interesting this background. But I am familiar more even darker than jump up, neurofunk. And exactly these mixes, or switching sides at the right point, are there used pretty oft. But I am unable to hit correct “beat distance” to the drop. I don’t want there those intro/intermezzo sections, just to continue the mess 😂
Showing instead of just talking about it helps a ton. Thanks man, big ups!
Clear instructions and how to use them then shown in a mix. Great video
Omg, thank you. Its so much easier to learn once you see someone in action.
No worries fantastic to hear this has helped you out
very nice panel, where did you bought them! nice
More dnb mix!
