Great video. I wish I'd have known this was my issue. I bought a valve kit that was just the cap, valve, plastic back and spring. You can just remove the existing cap (you need to break it), change the valve and pop the new cap on. No need to even remove the housing 🤔 Only realised this AFTER I did the job. Went through hell diagnosimg this. I thought I tested for this issue by removing the oil cap but it was still sqeeled. I replaced the serpentine belt, automatic tensioner and even the alternator pulley. Finally I removed the alternator as I was sure that was the issue. It kept squeeling. I then tested the oil cap while it was squeeling again, and sure enough, the squeeling stopped 😅 I changed the pcv valve (it had a split in it) problem solved. I don't regret putting a new serpentine belt, old one was cracked - but removing the alternator was SO painful 😂
You can buy just the valve and round cap, but mine wouldn't click into place. I found it's better just to buy the whole vavle cover unit and replace the lot. Easy job, just don't drop the bolts into the engine or you will never see them again. It's like a black hole back there 😂
@@PTPrecisionAutomotive if you haven't noticed, the audio quality isn't that good with all of that noise in the background! : ). Should always have the year/model in the title or description. it's frustrating searching for a model year and getting videos for previous gen vehicles. thanks for the video!

It is a common issue on SI6 engines, but quite easy to fix, you have to replace the oil trap.
