Super nice sound , no trumpet up it's ass! Beautiful Buick!
Thank you!!
Thats a bad looking GS!! I would think that the 4 sp. would have to be kind of a rare option! What kind of cam are you running? My Nephew gave me a 1970 455 out of a Rivera it's an SF code motor.
Thanks!
There were 664 4-speed Stage 1 cars built in 1970. So, they're definitely more rare than the comparable LS-6 Chevelle.
That's the TA-413 hydraulic cam.
@@brettslater872 Thought you might be running a TA cam. I have a 68 Javelin that has a 455 in it. About the only thing done to the motor is it has a Kenny Bell stage 2 can in it.
Best sound ever. 🔥🔥
She stable to ,and really Raspy ,she probably can pop a wheelie if floored in the right place & time ,my old 71 Buick Skylark was like a Jet with four wheel and it was a automatic transmission,I would floor it then quickly let up and floor it again and she would fly on the road like a bird in the Sky ,well it was a Skylark. ✨🌟✨
Love that hemi killer.
Thanks! It's a blast to drive and I'm lucky to be the caretaker.
Absolutely amazing 👍👍👍
Thanks!!
I had to turn on my subwoofer so I could revel in this sound. It was almost like being there.
My dream car!
Mine, too!
She's a beauty
Thanks!
Perfection.....
That is music !
The Buick GS would rape all cars of the same era !
@@Angelo-fo8de In the 70s. I had 2 1970 Buick G S 455s. One was stage 1. Rarely. Lost a race. Very lucky to be alive. Because I was - WOW :::- " WILD ON WHEELS.". MISS Those CARS BIG TIME. 🇺🇲✌️
Awesome.. but with that big 455 I'd want power brakes and this one doesn't appear to have them
This car was originally ordered to do one thing and apparently, stopping wasn't one of them. 🤷🏻♂️😂
is it a muncie 4 speed? im currently putting together a 69 gs400 stage 1 car that has been 455 swapped and am looking at options for a fairly simple manual swap for it
Yes, sir. Factory M21.
There's a bunch of threads on v8buick about the manual swap. Lots of good info.
@@brettslater872 how difficult was the swap? im 26 and never done a manual swap only engine swaps lol
Gorgeous
Q-jet's are the best.
A great carb with an undeserved bad rap.
And they only needed one to smoke a hemi
This, really right here, is what you call your basic bad-ass in Stealth-mode.
I had the same car in Northern Virginia in the 80’s but I don’t remember such a large cam.
That's the TA413 I used during the rebuild back in early 2020.
This. Engine sounds like it. Had. A high. Performance. Cam shaft installed it wouldn't sound like this with a. Factory cam shaft
Wonder hot they been with low gears in rear
It winds up QUICK.
Probably run with a stock ZL1
SWEET!
