Worst Dad in Cartoons? Spectacular Spider-man's Norman Osborn. Almost certainly the worst in western children's animation. Big spoilers for Spectacular Spider-man S2; You watch the series through and see him constantly belittle and bully Harry for everything and anything. He uses him as an insult against an employee he's insulting. Then it turns out Harry's become addicted to Norman's experimental performance enhancer in an attempt to get better at school and sports, leading him to unknowingly become the Green Goblin. This finally makes Norman realise he may have pushed his son too far and promises to get him help and send him too recovery if Spider-man keeps it a secret. Not so bad a dad after all right? NOPE! Yeah no Harry was never the GG, that was all Norman. Dad of the Year found his son overdosed on the formula and took advantage of his unconsciousness to dress him up in the costume and frame him to throw off Spider-man. He even twists his ankle to give him a limp after Spidey saw him hurt his leg. So Norman lets his son spends half the show thinking that his addiction made him a super-villain. Then instead of going to the school production Harry worked hard to get a role in, Norman kidnaps him for several days to frame him again then continues to gaslight him when he escapes. And he gets away with everything.
0:30 worst in animation!?! There's kenjaku, shou tucker, peter griffin, and heihachi (I know he's originally from a video game but he's animated now so I'm counting him)
@papercut_reviews wait hold up, venomous never knew he had a son and just found out, while rigbys dad saw him pop out the womb and instantly decided ( fuck this baby).
@Globbronglobgr0d he knew K.O. was his son since We're Captured and decided to PURPOSELY mentally scar him, torture him, and his actions lead to him killing his friends in the finale. Rigby's dad doesn't even come close.
Thank you for making this video on venomous. Few years I remember how so many praised his character and I was confused because there was to me, nothing redeeming about his relationship to any of his kids or partners. The way he gaslights K.O, spoils Fink ajd the robots and just outright abandons Carol never sat right with me at all. Poeple mention alot of cartoon dads here, but my thing that puts venomous among my top 5 worst is intention. He doesn't want to be better. He doesnt to improve for K.O or Fink, or any of hus other adopted kids. Its so obvious he's a person who parents for praise and not mutual affection, the writing being on the wall through how he tells K.O "its up to you how we go from here" so apathetically, and just outright lying and abusing him so maby times. I dont know if its because he still hates Carol or a bloght on his own soul but he legit sucks. It only makes sense then that yhe children he "loves" and cares for are artificial creations who will be programmed to stay loyal and desire his affection. Boxman, being somewhat similar, helped him alot, as now venomous can just play the role he so desperately desired, having poeple around him who will praise him while also being under his control. The bots, nor Fink, cant just ever walk away from those two, and I think thats the darkest part of why venomous is the worst dad, as he finally has the best combination of yes men and puppets.
This series was great, I wish it could've went on longer. The central issue with the original POINT team members and KO's daddy drama was fantastic and I wish it had some more focus. I know it was a bit more on the goofier-spoof side of things but the emotional beats were great too. Prof Venomous was really interesting, too bad we didn't see him beefing with Carol too much considering what he did.
As much as people want to criticize the video, I always thought KO and venomous relationship was so complicated and how venomous got a happy ending and never have any more interactions with his son cause KO is a sweet kid who, despite finding out his dad was a ex hero now villain really wanted him and venomous to actually have a good father son relationship but venomous has shown time at time again he does not care about him and if he does try to be nice to KO, he’s doing as a way to manipulate him and that hurts him you spoil your adopted child who’s an obnoxious, spoiled brat while you mentally and physically harasse your bio child and for what cause you were desperate to be more powerful he’s definitely not the worst dad ever but he definitely wasn’t a good dad either and I feel like people never deep dive into it and if they did look past it because he was hot
I get that the title for the video is a bit of an exaggeration but I can think of more than a couple dads that were WAY worse.. .. Like finn's dad from adventure time or grandfather from codename kids next door.
Yeah it is an exaggeration but nah nigga this still my opinion fr. I personally find him worse than MOST of the other options. Niggas don't have to agree, that's fine.
i dunno about that i think peter griffen is far far worse, yes meg does give as good as she gets but most of the time its just peter and lois being awful awful parents. because remember lois has done alot of shi to meg too.
Peter Griffin is in a joke of a show, a comedy, and his actions can't be equated to venomous cause they barely have any lasting impact episode to episode
I think the title of worst cartoon dads, not going into criminal stuff, is Don Wein from Oban Star Racers. It's a very fun beautifully animated show and one of the central themes is the main heroine coming into realization that her dad, who she idolized from afar cause she was sent to a boarding school, is in fact a terrible person. There's a lot more to it of course and I really liked how it was handled cause it shown a unique perspective where the parent is in the wrong and never had any plans to make things better... which rings very close to home for me.
I don't care if worse father exist in the cartoon world!!! Any video essay on OK-KO is a blessing. Even more, it's a miracle. I was so obsessed with this cartoon and I truly wished it had more time. I don't keep up too much with news and we didn't have the english CN channel (we had the Arabic and French one) so many episodes were way behind and I had to watch them in english online. I was so chocked when I heard of the finale. The first time I saw it couldn't even enjoy it. I also always thought Shadowy figure and TKO's team-up was surprisingly underwhelming. I personally enjoyed their straight up terrible relationship but wish it had a bit more meat on the bone. It feels unfinished. Like Venomous is narratively ghosting his son (forgive the awkward wording. I can't fully express my thought) Anyway, thank you for making this video. Keep up with the good work!!! I'll go check some other things you made.
Bruh why does everyone keep mentioning Peter Griffin? Can’t tell if it’s a joke or if people fr putting a top tier unserious character and Venomous in the same boat
@ dude they might as well say something like, “You think Venomous is a bad father? You must’ve never heard of Darth Vader, Kenjaku, my dad who left me, and Richard Watterson!” Like okay but nobody’s talking about them brother…
Wouldn't say bad, but I didn't finished Ok KO!, but did he try to be there for KO, because if he didn't then he's hypocrite. Spoiling one of his kids while ignoring other is wrong, but I get your point of view
Simple fact of the matter is that because Family Guy is such a loose show that is literally a TV show INSIDE a TV show I don't look at his actions as much
You inspire me to post my shit soon I got into it, pointing out how messy venmous is and dirty as hell about himself. Of course if he wasn't happy with himself or with his partner enough I can understand but damn that dude, that sleazy and dirty. Besides Carol wanting to throw hands, he had her emotional when the reveal came!!
Just analyzing the character There’s always going to be a character that’s looks like another character you know by making comparisons But it’s not to frequent Just once in a while
@papercut_reviews I think the title of your video is a bit misleading, obviously there are so many and shows and genres spanning years for cartoons parents. Calling boxman one of the worst parents when there are worst characters out there can lead to disagreement. When you have characters like clay puppington, peter griffin, ozai, randy marsh, mr turner from the fairly oddparents, they almost make boxman look like a caring parent. Then again it might be a big stretch comparing all these characters lol. At least this video got to talk about one my favorite underrated childhood shows, always happy when someone remembers about ok ko :D

That's probably the first suggestion that I'd say is better than PV. Good job lol
I think that more media that deals in "parent vs child" themes between heroes and villains or at least does the "disappeared parent" bit should consider taking inspiration from the old Germanic text, the Lay of Hildebrand:
The Father (Hildebrand) has to leave home for some reason.
He returns home years later as a mercenary at the head of an army to fight against his old home.
A young man leads the opposing army.
Hildebrand realizes the young man is his son, Hadubrand.
He begs his son to listen to him and avoid the fight.
Hadubrand refuses and believes the Hildebrand is trying to deceive him.
Hildebrand realizes it's him or Hadubrand.
They fight.
And...actually to my understanding, the original text is too damaged or too vague to tell quite who "wins," though most interpretations have Hildebrand slaying his son in single combat, with some versions having it be because the son did the dishonorable action of trying to attack when he was down and his enemy was reaching out to him in a gesture of mercy.
Either way, it ends in tragedy, which is how a lot of stories that involve parents abandoning or otherwise leaving their children probably should end, if only as a warning to any who'd consider freely doing something so deplorable in real life. I wish more media was willing to entertain the tragic side of the older stories which usually boiled down to "you violated the eternal and transcendent moral order that governs all creation, and now tragedy and sorrow will be the result." Though painful, it's a necessary compliment to the stories that end happily for everyone.

I have seen and pieced together trashy romances that were eyebrow-raisers or just straight up ratchet.
Niggas don't have to agree, that's fine.
i dunno about that i think peter griffen is far far worse, yes meg does give as good as she gets but most of the time its just peter and lois being awful awful parents.
because remember lois has done alot of shi to meg too.
i do think venomous is a bad parent, but worst cartoon parent?
he's not even close, like he's not even in top 10, imo.
and keep in mind we are including ALL of cartoon history.
not just cn.
I can't fully express my thought)
Anyway, thank you for making this video. Keep up with the good work!!! I'll go check some other things you made.
Worst dad and not mention Peter Griffin dislike unsubscribe reported!!!!
Love the vid keep it up
Peter Griffin funny so he gets a pass
(Thanks gang)
Bruh why does everyone keep mentioning Peter Griffin? Can’t tell if it’s a joke or if people fr putting a top tier unserious character and Venomous in the same boat
@@therust6947 right? People need to chill on Peter meat
@ dude they might as well say something like, “You think Venomous is a bad father? You must’ve never heard of Darth Vader, Kenjaku, my dad who left me, and Richard Watterson!” Like okay but nobody’s talking about them brother…
@therust6947 fr it ain't about them today 💀💀yall need to hear some different opinions
@ true, good vid tho bro I never really took this aspect of the guy into much thought. Anyway peace
@therust6947 thanks for watching homie
Wouldn't say bad, but I didn't finished Ok KO!, but did he try to be there for KO, because if he didn't then he's hypocrite. Spoiling one of his kids while ignoring other is wrong, but I get your point of view
Nvm I finished the clip and wtf💀
WRONG: He's hot
Nigga ask me if I care about wuhoh5274 opinion 💀
@papercut_reviews I don't see a wuhoh5274 around here

@@lucazeroblueversion9346 I needed a title yall leave me alone 😭😭
@papercut_reviews "the worst dad in ok ko" There is your title. That will be 5 euro
💰💰💰
You forget Peter Griffin exists?
Peter is a joke character ffs. His actions can't be quantified like PV because they have no consequences. He's a joke
@papercut_reviews joke character or not bro abuses meg like no other..
Simple fact of the matter is that because Family Guy is such a loose show that is literally a TV show INSIDE a TV show I don't look at his actions as much
Idk but hes getting it
PAUSE
You inspire me to post my shit soon I got into it, pointing out how messy venmous is and dirty as hell about himself.
Of course if he wasn't happy with himself or with his partner enough I can understand but damn that dude, that sleazy and dirty. Besides Carol wanting to throw hands, he had her emotional when the reveal came!!
Hell yeah dude. Carol was VEXXED that episode lol
WHAT ABOUT SEBASTIAN (GLAM) DAD.... he literally abused him and made him bleed. (Metal family)
I've seen other bad parents in cartoons

@ trust me anime are good shit tho. I recommend you Death note. But have you watched Arcane?
I have watched Arcane. I'll give Death Note a try when I have time
Buck cluck?
Who⁉️
@papercut_reviews From disneys chicken little, hes pretty hated at how he dismisses his son
Why does that woman look look like from Ok Ko let’s be hero’s
Nigga what was that?
Just analyzing the character There’s always going to be a character that’s looks like another character you know by making comparisons But it’s not to frequent Just once in a while
@@questionking3553He asking you to repeat yourself cause none of that made any sense 😂
Oh it didn’t I didn’t realize
Not the best take in the world
OK? Give me your take then. Yall say this stuff but don't contribute to the convo lol
@papercut_reviews clay puppington is a worse dad
Never watched Moral Orel
@papercut_reviews it is a MASTERPIECE
How can you say that when Richard Watterson is right there
Richard is my GOAT fym???
Yeah Richard is bad most of the time
Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you! Just accept him as lord and savior, repent of your sins, and youll be saved!
first one on this thread!!
