Your everything I would expect. If I closed my eyes right. This was driving in are heads since I was a baby. We will die soon and it will one day I pray 🙏 to be family.
I've always loved the big smile KC wears on his face! (The rest of the band too!) And those horn players.... how they don't get a neck sprain while playing with those moves is beyond me! So much fun!! KC was king of disco!
I came across a video of KC and a fairly large band from a couple of years ago. KC looks like an overweight truck driver (no offense to truck drivers intended) and his moves looked about as bad as mine would if I tried to dance. Lots of flashy lights but not much energy. If you ever come across such a video don’t watch it. It will ruin the fond memories you have.
Sorry to crush your dreams I love KC and the Sunshine Band No Doubt but there's only one group did holds the title king of disco make that three of them the three kings of disco the one and only the Bee Gees the year is 2022 now instill king of disco the Bee Gees
@@technomikelyons I thought I saw in their documentary Robin talked them into doing disco, as something new. Anyways, I lived the great 60’s, and early 70’s Master, Bee Gees. They were deep.
KC and Sunshine band where one of the best and they had a great beat and sound and every time you heard them all you wanted do was get up and dance get up and dance.
This is a Miami Florida band born and bred showing how it was done back in the day. "There's No School like Old school."-author unknown. Great reaction and take on a 70's iconic band, that made an impact on the music scene. And who's sound still resonates even today. Awesome!.
This was the mid '70's, and part of the soundtrack of my life. The 70's was the best decade for music, there was something for everyone: rock, R&B, Funk, and even Disco. Then the big hair bands of the '80's came along and that led into grunge in the '90's. Today's music with the auto-tune and computer generated music can not hold a candle to these times. The concerts were epic! Keep going into the rabbit hole of good music, the music I grew up on. You are the best, keep rockin.
You had to dance to this, I graduated High School in 1982. KC and The Sunshine Band was played at all the School Dances and at the Skating Rinks. It was played at all the parties. You had to dance.
1976. You guys are such a joy to watch! You would have loved going to discos and dancing til you dropped. Thanks for bringing back so many wonderful memories of a fun time!
70s was the best era I grew up with kc and sunshine band they formed band in 73! No decade like 70s ever I saw them 3x even in my 40s dance to every song
Yes I love this song and the music to this song. KC and the Sunshine band forever baby. Thank you so much have a very blessed day and keep spreading love and light wherever you go. ✌️♥️
It was on their 1976 Album but didn’t debut until 1977. The album was called Part 3. Every time they came on the radio I would get up and dance. I was 7 at the time.
KC and the Sunshine Band were bananas! KC was a DJ in Miami that knew that he knew local musicians that could make good music. The rest is history! I saw them @ least three times while I was in highschool. They ROCKED!
Between 1975 & 1979, they had 5 Number 1 singles in America. Here in the UK, their best single was 'Please Don't Go' in 1979 reaching Number 3. It wasn't until 1983 that they managed to get a Number 1 single here with the song 'Give It Up'.
I worked in KC (Casey) parents house in Miami Lake Fl back in the 70's and as soon as I saw all the gold albums his dad on the walls did I know who he was. Nice guy and proud of his son
🇨🇱 I live in Chile, southamerica ✌️ 🎵 Keep it, comin love 🎵 Dont stop now, dont stop it ✋️ I cant to stop the electric rythm of Kc and the sunshine band 🎵 🎵 🎵🎵 🎵 Keep it Dont stop now 🎵🎵 🎵 🎵🎵
Yes,This is Disco! I was eighteen years old in 1977, Disco was King! KC & the Sunshine Band was Big! The dance floor was always packed! Music of my youth, music of coming to age! Music of our lives! We still love this stuff!
If You we're in the CLUB with your LADY! & YA CREW!! And K.C. & THE SUNSHINE BAND Came on... EVERYONE HIT The DANCE FLOOR!! And you Never Want This MUSIC 🎶 to End! And you Don't realize How SWEATY 💦 , Or TIRED you Are till the MUSIC 🎵 Stops! Just GOTTA Dance to This! Perfect DISCO DANCE Tunes!! 🎶
Shawn and Mel appear to have gotten trap in an authentic musical era with one of the best bands to do that. Those were the days when an artiste had to put in high quality work and genuine talent to make it. Yup!!!
They we’re incredible to watch live. Omg everyone was dancing at the concert on every song. I grew up at a great time in the 70s and 80s .music was great everyone loved each other not like today with all the hate
OMG .. y’all too funny .. Love KC… used to play 8 tracks on the bus in the late 70s. early 80s in high school.. black and white kids in the south partying to KC on the bus together!! Damn miss those days… We all sang .. ALL of us!
It was always so entertaining and amazing to watch the horn players doing their different routines. I don't even know how they had the breast to keep up because I couldn't even dance to the music and keep up.
Loved the music that one was mid 70s I am thinking 1975, I was bouncing to the Grove while working. They were popular. I would say they were early disco.
All of their songs are from the 70's: Boogie Shoes 1975; Get Down Tonight 1975, I'm Your Boogie man 1977, Keep it Comin' Love 1976, Please Don't Go 1979, that's the Way I Like It 1975
This whole group of people have the most beautiful soul.. I am so glad that I got to grow up in this era of Music it was the best.. When we went out dancing and they put this music on it didn't matter are color or race we were just one big family dancing our hearts out and enjoying every bit of each other's company.. I was so blessed so blessed that when I was growing up I never saw a color I just saw beautiful people around me everywhere thank you to my Mama for letting me see the beauty in all the people no matter the color..❤❤❤ I absolutely love you two.. I love your reaction to KC and the Sunshine band I was smiling from ear-to-ear😊😊😊😊
They were so good. I was a teenager. And yes everyone of their songs makes me move. Even if it's just chair dancing. You can't help but feel good after listening to this.
Shawn . . . Your girl has the best damn smile on the planet brother .. Love watching you guys reacts .. Mels enjoyment is fun and that smile lights up a room . . Cherish that Queen brother. Every day every moment .
On the album, "I'm Your Boogie Man" would play and then it would go right into this song for about 10 minutes of straight jammin. Now you have to do "Shake Shake Shake, Shake Your Booty".
KC and The Sunshine Band were big stars during the disco era 75-80, along with The Bee Gees, Chic and Donna Summer. Another favourite is That the Way I Like it.
He is still touring and playing today. You can see newer videos here on YT. Seen him twice! In the 80's he all most lost his career and life to drugs and alcohol. In the 90s and 2000's he turned his life around and began touring again to pay off debt. He did trucker conventions and any place that would take him. That was over 20 years ago and he is still going strong. People still love his shows today. He needs to write a book or make a movie of his life. I bet it would be good. Soul Train, club 54, all the discos, famous people and movie stars. Those were the days!
Have been dancing to KC for over 45 yrs. And, Yes. This is Disco at it's finest. Makes you want to pull out the bell bottoms, platform shoes, gold chains and wide lapels. XD
👍👍Shawn & Mel, you guys are great, your love and positive vibes come through the screen !!!❤❤ As for KC & The Sunshine Band, the music they play is Disco-Funk. Lstening to these songs is going back in time when I was a teenager dancing at the Discotheque ... The only thing I can say about the 70's, I feel myself blessed for being during that time... everything was perfect, we communicated, we talked, we listened to others, we cared for each others Athough we didn't have cell phones ,nor computers we were happy with little. Exactly the way you see it in the KC's vids... ❤😊
Get Down Tonight was probably their biggest hit, and check out Please Don't Go. This was my high school and early college years and I loved this group. Nice reactions guys. Peace

Their smiles show why they're named "Sunshine Band". Hard not to smile along.

Ah, the memories of Friday nights at the skating rink with songs like this playing.
Absolutely!
I think when a person gets to heaven this is the type of music that will be playing 24/7. Amen.
Yes
As we are marching past the Pearly Gates
This is what’s playing
It's impossible to play any of KC's songs & not get up & move. The dance floors were packed & we could go all night. We had too much fun.

This was one of those whip around the Roller Dome songs!!! This is pure 70's!!!
I'm glad you are listening to all of KC's hit songs. You need to listen to their one ballad, Please Don't Go.
"Get down tonight" is my favorite KC and the Sunshine Band song.
My favorite KC song was “Please Don’t Go”. It’s a disco ballad lol, and I think y’all would love it too!

It’s such a pleasure watching you two enjoy this wonderful band.
