It's nice to see not all kids are stuck on a screen.. It's amazing what it can do when you learn how to take something apart and put it back together, better than before. I mowed lawns 7-8 years old.. most kids that age don't know how to start a lawnmower. So congrats to your boy!
Hey guys. Thanks for the video. Was a bit shaky but got the idea. The music was very distracting to the instructions. You may want to remove music from your future videos. May do this in my truck to thanks for putting up the video

@@Maknificent12now does it sound like all the bass is coming from the area where the subwoofer is placed. Like if someone sits in the truck that doesn’t know where you put the sub. Would they be able to easily spot where the bass is coming from. Or does it blend in with the whole system. Like when a sub is in the trunk, most of the time you can tell where the bass is coming from. I ask because I’m into SQ and want it to sound like everything is coming from the center of the windshield like a live stage. Kind of like the stock BOSE subwoofer, you can’t really spot exactly where it is. It just blends in with the system and sounds upfront.
@@myboy051 it sounds solid! Like you can't tell as if its just coming from one place. Its all over. Especially with a decent set of speakers, it's a definite must
That's why I came to the comments. Wondering if he reran the wires to hook directly to the radio or if he hooked them back up to the new amp. 🤷, I'm replacing mine soon and decided to go with the old amp to see if the sub I have will be powered enough or if I needed a 2 chanel amp to replace the old Bose amp.
Tough question. Guess all matter of entire picture of your set up. Question I believe is key = “Is the (insert sound device) stand alone or is it combined with other quality pieces?” Basically if u have the $ to spend on one incredible sub, it might compensate for 4 mediocre speakers. On other hand what if u buy 8 high end but not overly expensive speakers and a high end sub (again not overly expensive), which will outperform the other? Or will they be equal. A sound guy I trust told me the 2nd scenario will win. Said if you don’t have $ to spend on super high end speakers like Audison then u can get equal sound by adding multiple mid end speakers. Will be more work obviously but said unless you’re going into a sound competition or you’re a sound carnosaur you won’t be able to tell.
@@Maknificent12now it is for all door, piller, and tweets. I wanted to know if he reran all non-subwoofer speakers to the radio or used a 2 chanel amp to power all speakers 🤷
Good & bad video. It was painful to watch, but I got the idea. Nice to see you have your kid doing things. It would have been nice to see how you spliced the wiring to what & where. Either way. Thx for the video. All in all it wasn’t terrible.

I have a question. how much power the stock amp was pushing?? compared to the new replacement after market what I've noticed you just put 400 RMs watts. Thnx
@@Maknificent12now thnx for replying. I have a tahoe ls model 2007. I I've replaced the stereo aftermarket speakers front and back and I want to replace the amp but have no idea where it is located at I think I'm pushing about 350 Watts it's not too bad but I think I want to go upgrade because I think they sound most clearly. I also have a separate amp for my subwoofers. I've been told on the internet that I can bypass it but I don't know where exactly is located this factory amp like I mentioned is the Tahoe LS model 2007. anyone that knows please help. I would appreciate it all the help. thanx in advance.
I'm trying to go all the way. The only problem is time. I'm a truck driver and because I'm always on the road I don't exactly have the time I want to go in like I want. I just got the truck last month and I'm wanting to start with a head unit but I want a 10" screen one. Its so many in the market I'm having a hard time making a decision. Do you recommend any?
There's a 12" vertical from Phoenix audio that I've been eyeing but the screen ain't removeable and I don't want no one to bust my Windows and steal it. Its a pretty fly unit that turns the a.c. controls digital and intergrates it into the screen.
Electric tint might be out of my price range but the color change tint may be an option. Its like those eye glasses that darken when it's light and clear when it's dark. Might invest in a after market alarm system as well. That'll keep the bad guys away too, cause that Phoenix head unit doesn't bolt in it just snaps in with clips. That's making it too easy for would be thieves
If only running 1 amp you can easily remove factory amp and stuff new amp on its place in middle console area. in middle console area. I ran 3 amps. 1 dedicated to sub and 2 for the speakers. B/c I’m running 3 I decided to put all of them in the back for wiring ease. I put the sub amp on passenger side trunk area. For the 2 other amps I gutted the area where you put jack inside driver side trunk area. Drilled some holes and mounted both amps there.
@@domls1317that question has to be the biggest enigma of the century so if anyone has feedback please chime in! My amps kept losing power bc if poor ground. I tried chassis, scratched everywhere I could and it just wasn’t beefy enough! I eventually ended up buying a long 0 gauge wire & running it from straight dual battery on drivers side and running it under the rocket panels all way to the nut and bolt that hold or secure the hook 🪝 inside the trunk area. Attached ring terminal on outside and then from inside another ring terminal attached to o gauge going to all 3 amps. WALLAH! A bit of work around but it worked flawless now.
@@Maknificent12now I put it in the bolt that holds the lug nut wrench in place located in the rear driver side seats.
