MIG-17 is actually one of the best jet warbirds to operate. Cheap as dirt to buy and cost very little to operate besides fuel cost. It is probably also the most affordable jet with a burner on the market.
Sensational! I'd love to see a MiG 15 or MiG 17 at an airshow in Australia. Don't know if we have any flying here. I know there was a MiG 15 being restored at a small airfield near my town a few years back.
@@ErikJohnston Hi Erik, just so there is no misunderstanding I really did mean my comment as a compliment. Interesting angles are fascinating. Thanks very much.
Outstanding !! 3 consecutive eargasms with no cigarette breaks.

big respect to owners and pilots that you are still keeping this art of history and beauty. The antena looks like vertical fin :)
Absolutely beautiful camera work and production!
Amazing footage. Felt like being in the cockpit. The acceleration when they went into burner was wild!
Another incredibel show!! Thank you Randy, Bill, and Erik!!!
Love the classic Mig-17, Cool video!
Самолет красавец, золотой век авиации, сейчас они трнсформеры..

Nice. Can really see the acceleration when the after burner kicked in 👍🏼

Wonderful!
FANTASTIC VIDEO 🤩
Wow, its so awesome seeing what these jets are capable of, I can only imagine what the ones of today can do.
Out Freaking Standing!
Cool 😎👍
Very very nice. Some camera angles made it look like "all wing, no jet". Not a bad thing though.
I hear ya, I have to set the GoPro’s on Super side to get the whole fuselage. That gets a lot of the wing as well

I wasn’t offended. You’re exactly right about a lot of wing being in frame. Glad you liked the video!!
Were these the Stoli MiGs until 2003ish? I think I saw them at Reno 1999-2002.
What airshow was this?
Thunder over Cedar Creek Lake, Tyler Texas
NOT a fan of Russian aircraft, but i enjoyed the video either way, great camera angles and audio was perfect, nice one Erik.
