Hopefully Randy Ball will come back to Cleveland next year. His aircraft is an amazing piece of aviation history, especially with the glowing afterburner.
Mig 17 is probably one of my favorite demos!! Randy keeps it low and fast!

One of my favorite warbirds at Oshkosh this year. Would have been amazing to see it and an F-4 make some passes together.
Que buen video, acá en Argentina entre los años 50 y 60, hubo un avión similar al mig, se llamaba PULQUI 1 Y PULQUI 2. fue uno de los 4 aviones del mundo en ser a reacción y se fabricó íntegramente en el país, era un orgullo Argentino. Después faltó presupuesto para modernizarlo y bueno............se terminó el sueño.
WOW. IT LOOK'S LIKE THIS MIG HAS SOME CAPABILITY. THE PILOTS EXPERIENCE, AND TECHNIQUE CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. YOU PUT A NEWBIE PILOT IN A CURRENT NEW JET, AND YOU PUT A 20 YEAR VETERAN PILOT IN AN OLDER JET. IT COULD BE A VERY CLOSE FIGHT. GREAT JOB.

Imagine the sinking feeling of being a F-4 pilot, by far the most advanced fighter of its era, and realize you was shot down by this.
well the f4 didnt have guns, this had an awesome turning ability that was only bettered when the f16 came out. most f4s were lost to SA2 SAMs.

@@mrrolandlawrence, most American aircraft were lost to micromanagement from Washington. If the professional air commanders had control, the air war over Vietnam would've lasted a month.
The -17's smoked a lot of Thunderchiefs in The Nam until the F-4's figured out tactics to beat them .. they were basically the impetus for Top Gun ... amazing machine

These stupid old jets are the most entertaining next to an F35....absolutely love them. Would have hated to fight one. Jimmy's World channel bought an operational mig 17 for $65k recently.

F16 would take it out in a heartbeat…,nice jet but…..really nothing will take out an F16…

No way, a jet 30 years younger could it take it out? Next you're gonna tell me the Mig-17 could take out a Fokker D. VII.
Of all the aircraft you could say were "unable to be taken out", why would you choose the F-16? The only fixed wing aircraft in the arsenal that the US has lost MORE of is the A-10.
